Genius Gyms Personal Training is an exclusive neurofitness training program that was developed in Los Angeles and now available in San Diego allows you to perform both mental (cognitive) and physical exercises simultaneously while tracking your performance to increase neuroplasticity in your brain, to keep your brain and body young and sharp. Genius Gyms personal training sessions are individually designed by Dr. Sarah McEwen, an NSCA-​Certified Personal Trainer and UCLA Cognitive Psychologist. Our unique training program combines individualized interval training with personalized brain challenges using cutting-​edge technology to train your brain and body simultaneously. No boring machines or endless repetitive exercises. You will sweat, but our training is interesting, challenging, and most of all FUN. You have never experienced personal training like this!

Genius Gyms Personal Neurofitness Training was developed by Dr. Sarah McEwen (Ph.D., NSCA-​Certified Personal Trainer) who is a cognitive psychologist in the prestigious UCLA Department of Psychiatry & Biobehavioral Sciences. The one of a kind brainercises have been developed by cognitive psychologist, Dr. McEwen, from scientifically proven cognitive challenges known to improve memory, attention and executive functioning and are individually tailored to your mental and physical abilities. Dr. McEwen is the first and only psychologist and certified personal trainer to offer this ground-​breaking personal training hybrid program.

The Genius Gyms Personal Neurofitness Program was developed by an expert exercise UCLA researcher Dr. Sarah McEwen, who is a Cognitive Psychologist, human brain neuroimager, and an NSCA-​Certified Personal Trainer. Dr. McEwen completed the UCLA Fitness Leadership program and carries out ground-​breaking research in exercise and human performance at UCLA. She carried out her out her Postdoctoral Fellowship at UCLA in the field of cognitive neuroscience studying the brain mechanisms that underlie the risk for psychosis and how exercise can improve human memory. As an NCAA collegiate athlete she developed a passion for fitness and studied the positive mental and physical effects exercise can have on the brain. The Genius Gyms Neurofitness training program has been featured on PBS, the Tennis Channel and Red Bull TV.
