We LOVE DJ DAN!!! We just had our wedding last weekend, and he was the best! He was always so sweet and easy going before the wedding, and when the day of the wedding came, he was awesome! Everyone had a great time at our wedding, and he helped keep the party going and was a great MC! He is very polite and very flexible. I highly recommend DJ DAN for any event, especially if you are looking for a DJ for you most special wedding day! Thanks again DJ Dan!

Here is what we have to say about DJ Daniel (Evolution Productions)… HE KILLED IT! He made our wedding and reception amazing. Professional, consistent, great follow up, and absolute pleasure to work with. We had a very eclectic mix of family and friends from all walks of life, age, and parts of the world.
We had been to a few weddings and did A LOT of homework on DJs. Of the 16 we looked at he was our first pick and he did not disappoint one bit. We have/​will recommend him for any events and plan on giving a call when we need a DJ in the future. We just couldn’t have been more impressed and happy with his services.

DJ Daniel did an outstanding job at my son’s High School graduation party. Just the right mix of music to set the mood from early cocktail and dinner hour to party on the dance floor time late into the evening. Very accommodating to requests and interacting with the guests. He was early to the event, and was very professional in every way. Excellent choice for anyone that wants a reliable and quality DJ to liven up an event and make it memorable!

I know that somehow there is a bad review for him… after meeting Dan, there has to be something else to the story. Dan is such a nice guy and amazing at his work.
We used Dan for our wedding, and he was amazing. We paid a higher price for him than the other DJ’s that approached us. I found his website and really liked the upbeat music he does as a non-​wedding DJ.
He accommodated everything we asked for. He is energetic and passionate about what he does. Which is awesome, because he really got the crowd going. Originally the ultra religious conservative side of our wedding told us they would leave when the drinking and dancing would start… hahaha, well they loved the music he was playing so much that they stuck around for the whole thing.
Everyone was dancing at one point… I literally mean everyone. We can prove it with pictures. He got tons of compliments from our guests, they all were surprised that there is actually a difference between a DJ and a Good DJ.
When I first paid a higher price, I really questioned why… cause a DJ is a DJ right? Nope, not after what we saw Dan can do.
Seriously, the dude is amazing and worth it.

DJ Dan provided lighting and DJ services for my wedding in May of 2013. My wife (fiancé at the time) and I met with him several months before the wedding at a local coffee shop and provided him details that we would like for the wedding (entrance song, do not play list and general music preferences for the reception). Did not hear from him except for a confirmation during the following months. It was hard to get a hold of him, but he was apologetic and explained that he was very busy with events. We requested information on his ability to provide a set up for one of my groomsmen and his father to play the song for our first dance. It was of course no problem.
The day of the wedding, Dan and his assistant arrived early and got everything ready. Dan did an amazing job through out the night. He picked great songs throughout the night and played appropriate music through the different phases of the night. Several of our guests raved about the song selections and how much fun they had dancing and partying throughout the night.
I highly recommend DJ Dan for any event that you may be organizing. He is professional, friendly and did not disappoint.

I had the pleasure of working with Daniel and he was amazing! His energy was infectious and his talent is is by far the best in this industry! He had the crowd dancing all night long and his song selection was exactly what the bride and groom wanted. I hope I get to coordinate a wedding with Daniel djing again very soon. Daniel has been BEYOND responsive every time I have contacted him, before and after signing a contract with him and putting a deposit down for our wedding. He is very professional, friendly and personable. He’s so laid back and I have never felt so comfortable and confident in someone managing such a large part of my wedding.
He supplied a schedule to help correlate my wedding (I had no idea some of the things that had to be put into a schedule) and it helped make my life a lot easier. He made suggestions and gave me ideas that I hadn’t even though of! He is extremely personable and our personalities clicked very well. I will be referring all of my friends to him for any event. He has a ton of experience and he has proof of it all that he is extremely proud of. I’m so happy we found this gem!

UPDATE: Daniel is AMAZING!!! My wedding this past weekend was phenomenal thanks to him. We changed up our schedule literally 10 minutes before the wedding began, and he made it work as it it was in the schedule from day 1. I’ll be honest, I didn’t give him the greatest order of things because well, I was unorganized, and he winged it like a pro. Our dance floor stayed packed the entire time and all of my friends and family said it was one of the most fun weddings they had ever been too… Even my 80 year old grandmother was on the dance floor A LOT and I have never seen that woman move like that before. If your not hiring Daniel, your making a HUGE mistake. Thank you so much!!!

DJ Daniel from Evolution Productions performed at our annual New Year’s Eve Party for 2015. We had previously met and heard him perform him at several other friends’ events, and liked the way he seemed to be able to easily adapt his music and style to all ages and play music the crowd enjoyed, so we were comfortable knowing what we were going to get, and he did not disappoint. Our New Year’s Eve Party included friends, family, and acquaintances of all ages, which translated to a wide range of musical tastes and preferences. DJ Daniel was able to mix the music to please everyone, from adults down to the youngest guests. His ability to seamlessly transition from Latin Salsa to Pop, Rock and even Rap was impressive, and he worked to the crowd with ease, drawing them onto the dance floor with his mix of commentary and music. His incorporation of our desire to have a New Year’s Eve countdown and toast at midnight was the highlight of the evening, and provided the icing on the cake for our fabulous party! Thanks DJ Daniel!

DJ Dan Rocks, from our first contact he was enthusiastic, and professional. We hosted a Christmas Party for my wife’s co-​workers. The group was ages 21 – 60, and he kept everyone entertained. He was set up on our back patio, and drew people out of a nice warm house, and kept them warm with his fantastic selections (and some space heaters). I would highly recommend DJ Daniel

Dj Daniel should change his name to Dj Dontcall; because that’s what he does once he suckers you out of $ 500 for his non-​refundable deposit. We chose dj Daniel based on his Unilocal reviews, but obviously he has 14 friends that that were willing to make fake Unilocal reviews for him.
He seemed nice and friendly when we signed the contract. We negotiated with him on pricing and he later recanted saying the ceremony was not included in the price. When we sent him a copy of the contract he said it was his bad and was his misunderstanding. That was when he stopped communicating with us. It was two weeks before our wedding and we had to scramble to find a new dj. When he finally did communicate over a week later he blamed it on an illness. PayPal did not refund our deposit because it wasn’t for a tangible item. He refused to give us our money back and said it was non-​refundable and he wasn’t doing our wedding.

DJ Daniel is amazing! This review is for our wedding that we just had last Saturday May 24^th 2014. First of all he is super friendly and energetic and makes you feel comfortable right away. We met up before the wedding for coffee and he gave us some great suggestions and some homework to do so that we would be prepared. On the day of the wedding he showed up early, was super fun, totally professional and played every song I requested and then some. We got so many compliments on how awesome the DJ was from all our friends and family. A DJ is so incredibly important on how the day of your wedding will go and I promise you that if you hire DJ Daniel he will not disappoint! I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a DJ and I would hire him again in a heartbeat!!!

Seeing DJ Daniel from Evolution Productions rock the crowd was definitely one of the highlights of Giselle and Mark’s Wedding at the Marina Village. His team is professional, talented, and energetic. He is there for the client and he is reliable. One of the most important elements of a wedding, is the music. But most importantly, a DJ that knows how to rock the crowd and get people moving. Being the photographer for the wedding, I must say that the energy from DJ Daniel made all the difference for the entire event because everybody was having a blast, and the photos came out entertaining, not boring! If you want to remember a fun celebration while looking back at all your photos/​video from your wedding, then hire Daniel and his team for a night to remember!

Daniel is one of the most impressive DJ’s you’ll find in San Diego. His mixing skills are incredible and, as many have already stated, he keeps the crowd dancing. We had him play at a house party this weekend, and he basically turned our garage into a club — complete with these cool little strobe lights. Our friends couldn’t stop raving about him. In addition, he ended with a salsa set and knew EXACTLY how to switch gears for salseros — playing the song to the last beat (instead of blending into the next). Several of our guests asked for his card. I won’t be surprised if he becomes all of our go-​to DJ from now on.

Dj Daniel was amazing at our wedding. He was professional, had great gear, showed up early, and was willing to help out with everything. Not a typical cheezy wedding DJ. He’s the real deal. Everyone had the best time.

DJ Daniel is a complete professional. He has so much experience with weddings that it was refreshing and comforting. His professionalism and follow up was very impressive. At the end of the wedding, I had so many guests that were raving about his skills and approach. The best part was that he listened to my needs (bride), made sure the reception stayed on schedule and he kept the dance floor full of people!

DJ Daniel was awesome! He has a great attitude and is very professional. He’s very hard working as well and we’re so happy he DJ’d for our day wedding at the Bahia Hotel. He provided music and MJ’d for both the ceremony and reception. We wish we had planned ahead and booked him for another hour because his mix is amazing!
DJ Daniel absolutely did well under the circumstances we had at the Bahia. I hired a wedding coordinator that didn’t have the same great attitude as DJ Daniel and trust me it shows and really stood out.

We just used DJ Dan and Evolution productions for our wedding in point loma and couldn’t have been happier. Dan was the first and only dj we met with as he made our decision pretty easy. By far the best priced DJ I spoke with and he was extremely helpful and willing to work with us. I gave him a list of must play and do not play songs which he stuck to flawlessly, and a lot of guests commented on how good the music was. Every time I called or emailed Dan, he answered right away which is a huge plus when you’re planning a wedding and changing your mind every 5 minutes about which songs to pick. He’s also very professional, not just sitting behind a computer but actually keeping the flow of the wedding going with announcements and such, dead-​on timing wise. I will highly recommend him to everybody!

My then-​fiancée had emailed DJ Dan to inquire about booking him for our wedding reception, after which he immediately called her back to schedule a sit-​down chat, at the location of our choosing. Upon our first meeting, he was extremely nice, friendly, and obviously marketing himself for a sale, but in a way that wasn’t pushy nor overly boisterous at all. He had a wealth of promotional material to show us, from videos and photos of past gigs to flyers showing the variety of events he’s done, as well as his especially helpful sample CDs. We gave him an idea of what we wanted in terms of event feel and musical choices, and he seemed to be really accommodating and even gave us some ideas we hadn’t even thought of. We decided to hire him on the basis of his attentiveness, prompt follow-​up, and his honesty in the fact that he told us there was another possible gig but that he would love to play for us instead. It just felt right to go with someone who cared for his clients.
From then on, with a few months to iron out the details, we had two more meetings after that. Each time we met he was always professional, organized, and a great communicator – in person, on the phone and via email. He made it easy for us to not have to have a heavy hand in planning yet another aspect of our wedding, and only asked for a few things from us: the evening schedule, special songs (first dance, etc), and even do-​not-​play songs (a must when you’re sick of «At Last” – sorry Etta, RIP, but that song is way too overplayed!). Also, when we told him we were expecting a number of avid swing dancers to be in attendance and that I would provide him with some music to play for that segment, he was excited to do just that.
When it came time to the day of, I knew I could rest easy and just enjoy the night as he took care of both MC and DJ duties (with the help of an assistant), and we didn’t have to worry at all about his role, because he was simply on top of it! He made sure the evening event flowed ever so smoothly: played appropriate, not-​too-​loud dinner/​background music; made clear and well-​timed announcements; announced and handed off to the toast givers seamlessly; and got the party started with the perfect mix of swingin’, booty-​shaking, and gushy lovey-​dovey music! I loved that Dan later told us he was blown away by all the excellent dancing we had out there. My only regret was that he really could’ve, and should’ve, kept the tunes spinning the whole night had it not been for our venue needing to shut down. Maybe we’ll have to hire him for an anniversary dance party!
By far, the best was when we were trying to decide on our reception entrance song, and we high-​fived our lightsabers when we agreed that the Star Wars Throne Room theme song would be most appropriate. The execution of that was galactic. Thanks again DJ Dan!
TL;DR: Hire DJ Dan. He’s great to work with, exudes professional courtesy, and plays great music to accommodate your event.
