Escape Cabin, Escape Game

Honestly quite enjoyed Escape Cabin; one star down only due to the fact that the setup required a lot of outside knowledge, and expected that the players could think specifically from a certain perspective. Additionally, one of the clues was not ‘released’ to us until later in the game, which made us lose some time. Small fixups tho-​amazingly thought out, even in comparison to some of the more high tech, upscale eacape rooms we’d played. we had a lot of fun, and the setting was very true to the theme-​puzzles were challenging, and it was a lot of thinking and doing to get through the game! Our guide was very friendly, and hints were plenty-​plus, getting out in time meant ½ off our potential tab at the Hookah Lab, which is the main establishment in front of this escape room. A good first time puzzle!

I’ve been to quite a number of escape games throughout California, and I’ve been to escape games in Las Vegas and Orlando, Florida as well. I’m definitely experienced with the idea and general structure of escape games. Overall, I thought this place was pretty great.
Pros:
— The escape room is actually built in the back of the Hookah Lab on Garnet Ave, so it’s pretty easy to find.
— The owner of both the game and the hookah lounge is extremely friendly and accommodating.
— It’s a pretty big room and can accommodate a pretty big group of people.
— The reward for winning the game is 50% off your entire hookah bill.
— They offered free refreshments and didn’t charge for the storage of your belongings (I’ve encountered a number of places that charge for a locker).
— They offered more than enough hints.
Cons:
— The room itself is very dirty, and has a lot of dust, which I didn’t really appreciate because of my allergies.
— The puzzles were sort of random and didn’t mesh very well with the theme of the room.
— Some of the puzzles required background knowledge that wasn’t provided anywhere in the room (history, etc).
Overall, my friends and I had a good experience and had fun. While this wasn’t my favorite place by far, I’d still recommend it if you’re into the escape game craze. It was both interesting and challenging.

Tried to set-​up a game about a month in advance.
When I showed up I was told my event had been cancelled.
I was never contacted about it.
I was offered a 20% discount if I rescheduled for the day after.
Pretty damn disappointed.

This was such a fun and different experience that I ever had! it was so engaging and exciting. In an hour, you are supposed to solve series of puzzle to be able to finally get out!
And we did! The owner was with us to give us tips in case we get stuck (you are allowed to ask for certain number of tips) and his whole goal was to make sure we are having fun, not any thing else.
We also got a 50% discount on our lounge bill (there is a lounge attached to this place) because we escaped out of the cabin.

First of all we did it, second it’s just awesome, the couple who designed it and the way the cabin is itself were amazing. Highly recommended

I loved this place. The staff were super nice. All of the puzzles made sense with each other. It was my first puzzle thing I’ve ever done. The staff were very assisting, without giving too much

I loved this escape experience!!! This was the first time I tried playing this game and the game host was very accommodating. My husband and I really enjoyed it. Without giving the details I def recommend trying this to anyone who wants to test their mental abilities to solve puzzles and memory. It’s very exciting and a different new way to have a fun night out!
