We provide full body waxing for men and women but specialize in brazilian waxing using a combination of strip and hard wax. We take unisex waxing to a whole new level using high quality products and the latest waxing techniques. Using both strip and hard wax, our proprietary technique allows us to use the best wax for your sensitive skin and still get the smoothest results.

Simplified and stylish, our wax bar is designed for women and men who appreciate exclusive pampering. Elixr Wax Bar– Downtown is our 4th location. Our first is located on Adams Ave in Normal Heights our 2nd is located in Salt Lake City Utah and our 3rd is located in Midway/​Point Loma San Diego!

I’ve only gotten a Brazilian wax maybe ten times in my adult life. And I’m horrible at keeping up the schedule. So let’s just say I’ve been veeeeery neglectful when it came to my grooming; which means I was soo nervous and ready for a world of pain. I made an appointment today with Christine and it was the best appointment I’ve ever had! I was actually sad when it was done because I wanted to stay and chat away the day haha .It was pretty painless and she made me feel great about everything. I almost forgot I was getting hair ripped out of my body. Almost. Anyways. She was fantastic and I can’t wait for my next appointment with her :)

I have visited Elixr twice now and both times have been great! The service is wonderful and both Hannah and Melyssa did a great and thorough job. Sure it hurts, but they work quickly and accurately too ease the pain as much as they can and they are sweet and ask you questions to get your mind off of whats going on. :) Five Stars for sure! The location is convenient if you work/​live downtown and the décor and cleanliness is spot on.

Usually go to the Pt. Loma location, but used downtown this last time and couldn’t be happier! Melyssa was friendly, funny, and made my brazilian the most painless wax I’ve ever had with NO irritation post wax. Will return again and again!

Since I started waxing, my waxers that I’ve gotten along best with and are great at what they do have similar names ! And it’s so crazy I have found one just a few blocks away from my new place! Great service, all the girls here are lovely, and reasonable prices! If it’s your first time, these ladies make sure that you’re comfortable and make the experience quick and pleasant. They have plenty of opportunities to get discounts, like student and a few more, which is one more reason why this place is so awesome! Their appointment system is great, you get a text and email to remind you and confirm, which is convenient. I used to go to another place to get waxed but the service here is so great, that I’m glad I made the switch!

I just finished with my appointment for my eyebrows with Hannah. I am so happy! She not only was super nice, she did a fantastic job on my eyebrows. I’ve had trouble finding a good place to go, but am very happy. I will most definitely be a regular here. Brows are $ 20 – the best price around for a good waxing. I’ve been to Anastacia and Benefit, but feels like playing Russian roulette-​you never know how your brows will look. Thankfully Hannah did a great job! Thank you!

I’ve been to many wax studios/​salons in the SD area, none of which I consistently stuck with for longer than a cheap Groupon experience. Monique is so thorough and quick! I purchased a Unilocal deal and then made an appointment online. I didn’t realize it, but the the voucher was only good for their Point Loma location. Someone from that office called immediately and let me know this voucher was only good in East Village and let me reschedule for that location over the phone. What great service! The salon had plenty of street (metered) parking out front. The wax was great too!

Quick, easy and thorough service! Monique is friendly and efficient. The waxing is quick and painless (OK, mostly painless, it’s waxing right?). I have been seeing Monique for close to a year and I’d just about follow her anywhere. Convenient location right in downtown with lots of metered parking (bring quarters). You’ll be glad you stopped here.
