Start the process and once you are almost halfway it will ask for you to register more information and put the referral code. Be sure to remember your security questions.
Do not WASTE money on the e-​mail certificate. They have to provide you a certificate/​receipt and they do at the very end, watch closely for Free DMV Completion Receipt at the bottom left. It is signed by them, and as good as any certificate you would ever need.
How long it takes is largely up to you in California. Other states they have a timer. You can realistically do this within 2 hours if you read all the material. However, if you rip through it you can do it in as little as 30 minutes. The final exam only takes you 10 to 15 minutes. It’s pretty easy. If you don’t know an answer you can Google it. You have 60 minutes to take it.
I got caught doing 83 on a 65 mpg. I’ve never been in an accident yet but this would be my fourth speeding ticket in the last 10 years. Thankfully I’ve done some type of traffic school every time and my insurance rates are still super low. Like nothing happened. Whatever you do, if you have a chance to take traffic school, you just gotta do it. Not worth the insurance rate hike. I’ve done it all by now Online and classrooms (well, except the mailing kit one, who does that anyways?).
The two classroom traffic schools I took in the past were ok, semi-​fun, but the time commitment is a lot more than online, bottom line (rhyme). Plus having to drive there and back, a hazzle. Unless you got time to spare or totally suck on the internet, classroom is not an option.

Good lord that was easy! I was searching for traffic schools and came across Easy Fast Cheap Traffic school and reading all the reviews saying that it took less than an hour to finish. It’s true, it took me less than 30 minutes from beginning to finish. Final test is open book which allows you to open course material in another tab where you use Control F to search for relevant info base on the test questions.

First off let me say that the universe is vast and there are billions and billions of traffic schools across the cosmos. But none as easy as this one. I completed my course in a 2.5 hrs with little breaks in between. It was fast convenient and would recommend everyone to use it.

Fast, easy, test is open book. Total cost was $ 26 with added email confirmation of completion ($ 20 without the confirmation). This was a little steep in my opinion, and although there were many Unilocal referral codes, I was only given an option to enter a referral code at the very first page and I had not checked Unilocal at that point. Also something that is really annoying is the system NEVER allows you to use the back button. Thankfully, this was my first ever ticket and this is my only traffic school experience so I have no reference for comparison. Very fast, very easy, too expensive.

Easy and fast but they charged be 19.99 for the course so I’m not sure if that cheap for traffic school haha. But highly recommend it. Finished it in an hour or so. Most of the question in final exam for common sense as well as the pre-​quizzes. They have an option to send the certificate the same day which I chose since I completed mine on due date. Hopefully it send since I did complete it after 7 pm. We shall see. Of course if it doesn’t I’m going to come back and review it all over again lmao.
