I hired Ed for a studio shoot for some head shots and for some pictures I wanted to give to my boyfriend for our anniversary and he killed it. I had seen some of his Magazine Covers he had done and I knew I could trust his work. They turned out amazing… I LOVE them!!! Can’t wait to do another shoot with him again.

Absolutely my favorite photographer of all time! Charismatic and caring. He keeps u entertained and comfortable throughout entire shoot. He captures the true essence of the moment. A true artist!

I have been meaning to write this review for a very long time. I finally decided to write it today after visiting my living social account, and realizing that I was not provided the 5×7 photos that were included in the voucher I bought.
I bought a voucher in 2012 and thought I was getting a great deal. However, I found Ed to be less than professional. I had ideas I tried to communicate with him, and instead of telling me he didn’t understand my vision, he wasted tons of shooting time trying to accomplish it, only to end up with photos where mine and my children’s faces were blocked off. I paid an extra almost $ 130 to receive a CD of all images, and I’m sad I am still sad I wasted my money. The photos I received had rushed editing, with the blue effect he used blurring out my children’s faces in some of the photos. One photos actually had HIS SHOE in it. I contacted Ed and he gave me a lot of excuses about being busy for the holidays etc. He eventually offered to re do my session. At first I declined, but then I wrote to him and said I would like to have it re done. At that time he never responded back to me. Now I see on Living Social that my voucher included three 5×7 prints that I never received! These were my first and still only professional photos of my children and I, and I still feel ripped off even two years later!
If you can’t handle the holiday business and still produce good work then you shouldn’t offer a living social deal, or you should know your limits and tell clients they need to wait to get their session done.
I would not recommend him to anyone. Have a family member grab a camera and take your photos for free. I could have done that and probably been more satisfied with my images.
I have my images as proof of his poor quality work if anyone would like to see them!!!

I am very happy with Edward A Brown. He took some amazing pictures of my family recently and I am quite pleased. He was very responsive to my inquiries and he was flexible since I have a 2-​year old that can be moody. My family will be using him as our photographer for a long long time…

I had been advised to consult with EA Brown studios by a mutual colleague in the industry. I live in Washington state but travel to San Diego for business and personal reasons. I was nervous that a guy that I have never met could actually capture the essence of what it was I wanted in my pictures. Not only do the pictures have to look amazing but they also have to be ‘me.’ I wasn’t just satisfied with his work, I was amazed. Edward is the definition of a professional. I really didn’t know exactly how to explain what I wanted and Edward nailed it. He exceeded my expectations and captured me in ways I didn’t imagine I could pull off. I highly recommend EA Brown Studios!

I bought a voucher through Living Social for his photography package at $ 69. I wanted to use the voucher to take our family photo to use for Christmas card, but he said he was booked till January. He extended the due date of the voucher and we did a photo shoot in February. He took some good photos, but it took forever to get the CD. He said that he was sick, which I understood. But I had to be super patient and had to remind him twice before finally getting the CD almost two months later. The original voucher included a photo shoot, a CD, and 3 5×7 prints. He said if I wanted all the image, he would include them at additional $ 100 which I paid. So I got about 100 shots on the disk, from which I was told to choose the image that I like for the 3 free prints. I sent him email twice to let him know my selection of 3 images that I would like to receive in 5×7, but he never sent me the prints nor did he ever respond my email. I got a lot of compliments on our family portrait from friends, but it was very frustrating to not receive the disc in a timely manner and not receiving the prints as promised after paying $ 170. Wouldn’t go back to him again.

Year after year Ed is my go to photographer. He brings out the beauty in all that he photographs. I have three young children and Ed always creats magic. He has a true gift in keeping children happy and engaged while capturing beautiful photos which are more of a piece of artwork than the traditional stiff looking family photos you would get a department store studios. I constantly receive compliments on the exquisite photographs of my family that Ed has captured. He is extremely personable and professional. Ed makes you feel like an old friend. If only I met him 10 years ago wheni got married. And yes I have been to a wedding that Ed has done. All I can say is BEATIFUL! Ed gives five star service while producing the highest quality photos.

I got a coupon from Living Social for this guy and decided to try it. His photography isn’t bad, but customer service is horrible. All I wanted was one picture for social media. He knew that. It took FOREVER to finally get the disc. I was supposed to receive a disc and some pictures for the original $ 40. I paid an extra $ 100 and got LESS than the coupon said I’ve receive.
But worst of all, the pictures are useless since the photos are too large for social media and copyrighted so I can resize them. I’m sure some computer expert could figure a way around it but I can’t.
Of course he wouldn’t answer emails or return my call. I paid $ 140 for nothing. Frustrating.

I purchased a LivingSocial Voucher and when we called to set up an appointment with Ed to Photograph my kids (4 and 2), Ed was very inflexible with his schedule and rude to my wife. He ended the conversation by hanging up on my wife. I feel that he handle the situation in a very unprofessional matter and we will call LivingSocial to get a refund.

I have worked with Ed twice now to take pictures of my family. No photographer has made me happier; both with results and with the experience while shooting.
Both times we shot in Coronado on the beach and, while I’m not a beach guy in the traditional sense, the pictures we got have been perfect. Ed is a personable, funny man who will make you comfortable quickly.
The first time was just our little family– me, my wife and 2 boys. We liked one of the pictures so well we hung it up large-​size in the living room on one of those art canvas prints. The second shoot was done just after Christmas, 2011.
A word about young kids; don’t worry!
My 2-​year-​old was just getting over an illness and he was still cranky as can be. Undaunted, Ed helped me find his smile and he was laughing uncontrollably before the shoot was over. This was a small miracle that made things so much more enjoyable than they would have been otherwise. (you parents out there understand full well what I mean!) There were 5 other children there besides the little guy and they all had fun. My father-​in-​law mentioned that this was «a lot better than he was expecting» — strong praise indeed from a man of few words.
Our second shoot was also challenging because of what a large group it was (15 people). The samples I’ve seen so far look brilliant and he found some really creative ways to get us all together and also to create intimate shots of smaller groups/​couples present.
Give this man a chance! You won’t regret it. I genuinely like him and I suspect most of you will, too.

We originally found Ed on Groupon. As a new mom I completely forgot I had even purchased it so by the time I remembered, it was almost expired. It was around the holidays and Ed was pretty booked but he made time to fit us in before the Groupon expired. This being our first family photoshoot with a 3 month old, I was not sure what to expect. Things could not have gone better and our photos were amazing. Ed was funny, energetic and very enthusiastic. He even got some shots of my son smiling. My favorite picture to this day is one that Ed shot of me and my son. He even put it on his web page. I had several friends use Ed and they were just as happy.

Ed is the most creative and enthusiastic photographer I have ever worked with. Not to mention that he is very friendly and funny, so you feel like you are working with a good friend. He did pictures for my website — he was full of ideas and every photo is came out absolutely stunning, and gave me a lot of pictures to choose from, so my website has a great new look to it now, better then I expected. If you’re looking for a friendly, fast, reliable and CREATIVE photographer, go with Ed!

Ed shot my wedding in Santa Margerita, Italy back in 2007. He traveled with the wedding party through southern France and Northern Italy for 5 days photographing all our festivities and wonderful moments. The shots he took of us and our friends are priceless. As the bride I was not taking part in the pre-​party to the wedding, but Ed took amazing photos and I feel like I didn’t miss a moment. We love Ed dearly and will always be grateful for the attention he took to capturing the feeling and magical moments we call our wedding.
We’re planning a 5^th anniversary party in Europe 2012 and we’ll definitely hire Ed again, we wouldn’t want to do it without him.

Ed made my wedding day so much fun, Great photographer,.My father was dying from cancer and these were the last photos that i would ever have with him and Ed capured moments that touch my heart and others as well. hes amazing! Would recomend him to everyone.

If you want a top notch photographer then you should look into using this company! They are the crème de la crème of photographers!
