Dr. Don Green was recommended to me by another podiatrist and I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience. He and his staff are all friendly, professional and courteous and they all went above and beyond to make my surgery a great success.

If waiting over one hour past your appointment time is acceptable to you, if the doctor taking a phone call while seeing you is acceptable to you, then this is your place.

Be prepared to wait like reviewer said– he books a lot of patients and spends as much time as needed plus has surgery in the mornings on many days or is in the hospital seeing patients. I have never experienced him blabbing about vacations with other patients Considering his age, education and professional credentials he is friendlier than many doctors of this type. He was recommended to me by a podiatrist who went to work at Balboa Hospital and said this is who she would see for her own feet. Expert doctor, bureaucratic-type office. I am not sure you will get better satisfaction form the other podiatrist specialists– they all overbook.

I called on a Thursday and was able to get in the next Tuesday. I asked the receptionist to fax forms so that I could complete them prior to the appointment. The day of the appointment, I showed up 15 minutes early, even though I filled out the forms. I waited THIRTYMINUTES in the waiting room for them to herd me into the exam room. After I was in the exam room, I waited another THIRTYMINUTES before the doctor showed up. Despite being FORTY-FIVEMINUTESLATE for my appointment, he continued to gab on and on with the people about Australia in the next room. He came in, examined my feet for about 5 minutes, then asked me to walk down the hall so that he could examine my gait. As I continued to nearly the end of the hall, the patients he was talking to about Australia walked past him and he forgot about my walking, I guess, because I hit the end of the hallway. He told me to walk back to him and then turn around and walk halfway down the hall again, since he missed me the first time. After we returned to the exam room, he immediately told me that I need orthotics and tried to sell me $ 500+ orthotics and the second paid at a discount($ 300+). WOOBLOODYHOO. When I mentioned that my son’s podiatrist charged us $ 350 for his, and asked him the difference between the orthotics(perhaps quality?) he immediately became defensive, asked where I worked and said«Well, you know how there’s a difference in lawyers? There’s the same difference in podiatrists. You get what you pay for.» The thing is: MYINSURANCEPAYSFORTHEDAMNDOCTOR. _I_AM PAYINGOUTOFPOCKETFORTHEORTHOTICS. So eff off, doc. Totally patronizing and condescending. He was a douche and I will never return to him.
