What a great visit with an extremely talented dentist and staff. I had terrible pain after hours on a weekend and he was able to alleviate my pain and fix the dental issue right away. I am very thankful for this dentist and the fact that he actually cares a tremendous amount for his patients. His strong compassion, ethics, and skill are so very appreciated! Thanks to his wonderful assistant as well! Please don’t give it a second thought, this should definitely be your new dentist!!!

I really like Doctor. Freeman and his awesome employees. Also very flexible around my schedule and very friendly and comforting atmosphere in the office as well, even though not only are they professional and highly knowledgeable! So far, I am very pleased with the explanations given as to what needs to be done, along with the ease of making appointments, though i am just beginning my courses of treatments. Also, they are really easy to understand concerning my financial circumstances, and therefore are assisting me focus on my dental care function inside my spending budget with time.

After bad experience with few dentist in the past I have got this place recommend by friend. Susie and Dave was extremely nice and professional, they spend hour and a half to check everything and deep teeth cleaning, I’m very impressed and surprise that no one was trying to up sale me.

Best dentist I have been too. Seriously he is amazing and very informative. My husband broke a tooth and he took him in within a day and fixed him. It wasn’t a ton of money like everyone wanted to see him. His staff are amazing and very nice. I highly recommend his office. Seriously this is so refreshing to find great service.

Great dentist. Really knowledgeable and staff is always friendly. Only downside is he talks a lot which is only an issue if in a hurry, in which case you just have to let them know in advance. Have been seeing him to long but plan to stay.

I’ve been coming here for a couple years now. I recommend them to anyone that asks. It is a super friendly casual office and Dr. Freeman is very knowledgeable.

I felt uneasy while there. Was going to have some work done on my teeth, but opted out after getting an inspection and felt uncomfortable with the thought of having work done. The office and staff felt too casual and left and impression of being unprofessional and a bit scattered. Not super organized or clean, either.

I’ve been to Dr Freeman twice now and both experiences were fantastic… He’s quite the character and you can tell is extremely intelligent which is something you want in a person that you going to let poke around in your mouth! On my last visit he did a wisdom tooth extraction… Granted the tooth wasn’t impacted, but he got it out in less than 10 minutes and I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW IT CAME OUT!!! He talks you though everything so you can be informed along the way, and I can absolutely recommend you go to him if you are looking for a new DDS. THANK YOU DR DAVE!

Dr. Freeman and his family are wonderful people. Everyone is friendly and tries to make you comfortable. They also have very flexible hours.

Dr Freeman and his wife and other office staff don’t need another review but I had to add mine simply because they are so excellent that they should have as many 5 star groupings as is humanly possible. They are– knowledgeable, skillful, personable, kind, caring. Not to mention very interesting and community-​minded. And their rates are more than reasonable. My son referred me to this practice and I would refer any one of my friends or family and anyone I hear who needs a good dentist to Dr Freeman!

Dr. Freeman is really great! I was very reluctant to change dentists, because I really liked my old one. But when my company changed plans, I needed to find a new one or pay tons of money out of pocket. Luckily, I found this place through Unilocal.
The atmosphere of this place is really funny/​eccentric, I once overheard a conversation of «Which Disney character are you?» in the hallway. But this does not detract from the level of dental expertise.
Dr. Freeman really cares about his patients, and he and his wife Susie think it is important to install good brushing habits. I’ve never had issues with scheduling or having my phone calls not returned. I also find they are responsive through email.

They always take their time to make sure I understand what & why they’re doing. I never feel like they have a bunch of other patients waiting, and wants to rush through.
Also, It doesn’t seem like a big deal, but they’re always giving me advice about little changes I can improve my teeth (i.e. stop eating popcorn or how to brush to improve my gums…)

My 11 yr old son had a sore tooth and they got me in on a Friday at 6. Even tho they squeezed him in I didn’t have to wait! Turns out he was just getting new teeth. Dr Freeman and his wife were very upbeat and informative. They took their time with us as if we can scheduled the appt in advance.

I was very reluctant to go to the dentist before I met Dr. Freeman, and now, while I can’t say I «enjoy» it, I definitely don’t dread it, and that’s due to the skill and attitude of Dr. Freeman and his staff. They’re very friendly people and take great care in the practice of dentistry. They’re always willing to work around my schedule and if you have a cavity or haven’t been flossing as much as you should, they don’t make you feel like a leper, they just reinforce that you should be doing X, Y and Z differently.
Conveniently located off the 5 freeway, Dr. Freeman is by far the best dentist I’ve ever been to. You should check them out the next time you need a cleaning or some work done.

Yesterday, I thought my filling had broken off and my tooth was in pain. My regular dentist was closing for the day (Fridays are a half day) and wasn’t able to see me until Tuesday. So I made the appointment and popped a few ibuprofen. As the day progressed, the pain did as well. Finally at 530pm, I started calling around looking for a dentist that was open on a Saturday knowing my patience would not last the holiday weekend. I had checked Unilocal and based on the reviews, called Dr. Freeman. His wife Suzie, answered the phone and was really sweet accessing my symptoms and pain. After speaking with me for a few minutes, she told me to come in at 7:30. It wasn’t until she said she would try to get me in sooner that I realized she meant THAT NIGHT. I had assumed the morning. I arrived to my appointment and was immediately greeted by Suzie, who was graciously kind. You can tell that she truly cares about people and not just making a buck. All of the staff were personable and sweet. I only waited a few minutes in the simple but tastefully decorated waiting area before I was brought to my chair. The place was clean and decorated in soothing artwork and colors. There was a tv mounted above my chair and they offered to put on a movie for me. They then took pictures of my tooth using a really cool dental camera, something the dentist I had been seeing didn’t have. They also took xrays right from my seat which was nice. Dr. Freeman has a wealth of information and readily shares it as he patiently explained my problem. Apparently a part of my tooth had chipped off and wedged itself into my gums so whenever I would bite down, it was pushed in further and further making it a painful situation. He calmly and patiently was able to get the shard out and explained the healing process. Suzie then gave me her card which has her cell phone number on it and encouraged me to call if it wasn’t healing well over the weekend. I was there well past their listed hours of operation but the staff smiled and did not rush me out. They have convenient evening and weekend hours for ongoing appointments. The whole experience was great, so much so that I will be changing dentists.

It took me some trial and error (Smile Care — the Jiffy Lube of dentistry and Hillcrest Family Dental — the most creepy and fearful experience ever in dentistry) to find a caring, trustworthy and affordable dentist in San Diego. I found Dr. Freeman via Unilocal and I can’t be more thankful to my fellow Unilocalers.
I have been going here since 2008 and by now Dr. Freeman and his wife are like friends to me. They are both personable and warm. What I like best is that Dr. Freeman is totally thorough and caring in his work. He will explain every facet of whatever procedure he is doing and answer whatever question you might have. He is very gentle and won’t make you feel any pain if he can help it. Plus he loves to tell stories and fill your head with various trivia, so you mostly will learn something new when you leave the place!
I have had a cavity filled, some retainers made, various X-​rays and several cleanings. His prices are very reasonable and I have been paying out of pocket for a few years now. The location is located in a little strip mall with a taco shop next door. Inside though it is nice and clean, with plenty of reading material, a chess board and travel books. Besides my cousin in Phoenix, Dr. Freeman is my favorite dentist ever!

I have lived in San Diego almost 8 years now and it took me 7 to start seeing a dentist in SD County! I am from the LA area and visit my family on occasion and for nearly 7 years, I would make the drive up to see the dentist in their area that I had been seeing for several years.
Choosing a dentist is an extremely personal decision and can be a really scary thing! Dr. Freeman is amazing and really makes going to the dentist actually enjoyable; I would have never thought that was possible, but he and his friendly staff has made that possible! I really trust his work and value his honesty. It is so great having things explained to you before and after having work done on your teeth. His office makes you feel at home like you are family, not just another patient.
Even after all those years of traveling to and from LA just to see my old dentist, I must confess that Dr. Freeman is a much better and more caring dentist than the one in LA I had such a hard time parting with. I will be seeing Dr. Freeman until the day I move out of San Diego because I simply cannot imagine going to another dentist!
