I was Born in Boston, Massachusetts but moved to Seattle, Washington when I was young and I currently reside in San Diego, California. However, I am fortunate enough that my craft allows me to travel often, from Seattle and San Francisco to Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas and New York. I really do get the best of all worlds so to speak.

I am a Photographer and Graphic Designer. I am very passionate about my craft and I love what I do. I truly feel blessed to be able to create for a living. I believe in community, collaboration, and art in most all its forms. I’m addicted to the History Channel, often slip movie quotes into everyday conversation and I tend to find humor in most anything, even when I shouldn’t. Also I seem to have developed an unhealthy obsession with Apple products.

As a creative professional, be it photography or graphic design, my clients come first. I strive to make them happy by creating beautiful and unique imagery through a personalized experience.

Only giving him 1 star because 0 is not an option. This guy took our money, the day before he sends us an email asking if we need to cancel feel free to let him know. Then the morning of after we both had taken the day off work, been to the salon, she scheduled makeup, child care and then he sends some BS email saying he got in a car accident and he is heading to the hospital. I didn’t believe him. I was also offended that he didn’t even have the decency to call.
So we decided to stalk him on Facebook and we see that while he was supposedly at the hospital he is checking in at the mall that is near our house. Such lack of professionalism. We spent over $ 1,000 in preparations and this is the service we get. Boo his service, we are a hard working family that was trying to take our engagement photos and he treats us this way. Very disappointed.

Was the photographer of my Sweet 16, this person happened to make a deal with «Someone else» and they were supposed to divide the money i paid him in half. He showed up to the party, took pictures and after never heard of him or my pictures. Only thing he did was email the pictures, which was not the deal at all. I was supposed to get an album and a portrait picture but didn’t at all. And all because he had trouble with the person he partnered up wtih. At the end i paid for what i had made a deal for, and obtained nothing but an email. They took away my money, and my beautiful memories this was a special day to me and now i can’t even look back it. Don’t waste your time or money.

I hired Darrell to do a photo shoot of me for my boyfriend. A friend had recommended him and once I looked through his work I knew he was the one. Not only does he have a great eye through the camera he is creative, fun, kind and awesome to work with. He helped me come out of my shell, enjoy the camera and by the end of the day were were laughing and I was really enjoying the shoot. Thats of course where we got the best photos and it was totally worth the wait. I would hire him again in a heartbeat and even use him for the business I run. He has a rare talent, use him and you won’t be disappointed.

Let me preface this by saying that I am not a model and have never taken professional photos, unless you count the cheesy photos that get taken in grade school for school picture day… But recently, I had the privilege of working with darrel on a photo shoot for a company that I was associated with. To say I was nervous would be an understatement, but Darrel quickly put myself and the fellow girls at ease. He directed us on what to do, how we should pose, and made us laugh so that the photos did not look so forced. The shoot took several hours but the time flew by so quickly we were shocked it was over. Within a week I was able to view all the photos taken and wow was I impressed. All of them were beautiful and he made me look like I was a model! I highly recommend him to anyone and he has now become my go to photographer for all my picture needs!

There are photographers and then there are artist, I would say that Darrell falls in both of those categories. Very seldom do you find someone who is creative, professional, and who also puts his heart into his work. It’s very refreshing to know that there are still people who possess such qualities as these.

Darrell is amazing! He is friendly, professional, creative and everything BUT your typical point and shoot type photographer. From the first time I saw his images I said, «He’s gonna shoot my wedding!» He not only did my wedding, but our engagement/​family shoot and our most recent family photos. Originally he had asked what I was looking for… «ideas», but honestly… when you just let him do his thing, the photos turn out wonderful! Plus waaaaay better than what I could come up with! I would like to start off by saying that Darrell is one of the most creative, passionate and driven people that I have ever met. Recently, Darrel designed the flyer for my first solo art exhibition. He took the time to view my artwork and took every little detail into consideration while creating my flyer. The end result was a work of art in itself. I was completely taken aback that someone could capture my own artistic vision and translate it so well. The time put into the design and the passion behind it was evident, I couldn’t be happier.

Very professional, delivers on his promises and the finished product is more than satisfying. I’m not a model lol but I do use Darrel for press pics etc and I’m settled on him as my go to guy for pictures. I would even pay for his travel if I needed pictures outside of the San Diego area.

I had a phenomenal experience working with Darrell. I needed shots of myself for promotional purposes but I didn’t have many specifics worked out in my head prior to our shoot. Darrell took the lead and I couldn’t be happier with the end results. I was able to feel comfortable during our shoot and the process felt more like fun than work. Darrell kept me up to speed during the post production and I had the final edited shots much sooner than I expected. Thanks Darrell!

Darrell did a photo shoot with my girlfriend and I watched him work. He did an awesome job with her shoot and prints… she was very happy. Then I decided on a photo shoot myself. I told him and showed him what kind of shots I’d like and ideas of locations. He understood my vision and did our shoot at the convention center. It was perfect and it was a beautiful day! He talked to me about anything/​everything so he can capture candid and natural shots (which I wanted) of me being comfortable. He has a natural gift to make you feel comfortable… therefore produced great shots! We explored many spots at the embarcadero and convention center. He really took his time with me and talked me through in how to pose/​ect. It was a pretty good photo shoot!
I received the final photos in about two weeks and loved all of them! I had one printed on a 11×20 canvas and I get many compliments. And he uses one of my photos from the shoot on his website! What an honor:)
