Joel has been very thorough and detailed with all of the work. Initially I just needed a new alarm system installed for a vehicle.
As I was there Joel recommended to install a glass shattering sensor and door locks around the vehicle to make it near impossible to get into, as just putting an alarm on would be the bare minimum now I have a few very secure vehicles and planning to take the rest of my vehicles in there soon to do the same.
I can’t say enough how much confidence I have in Cutting Edge Audio & Vehicle Security it’s very rare to come by and I will recommend them to all my family and friends.

I had my car broken into a while ago, so I was searching for a good Car Alarm Company. I called in and they gave me a fast free quote right over the phone, and they’re prices beat most other competitors I called.
I was able to take my car in right away, they where very fast, friendly and very knowledgeable. I never felt pressured and was very happy with the whole process.

Great Service! I purchased a new 2106 Chevy Express work van that came with power locks but no key less entry (go figure). I requested a quote through Unilocal and Joel responded promptly that he could install a key less entry system for me. We set a day and when i arrived i was greeted promptly. Joel got right to work and had me out of there in 30minutes. I even got a quote to upgrade the tunes and will be going back later to get that done.

First and foremost these guys are by far hands down the best people I’ve ever encountered when it comes to customer service. As soon as I pull up Joel comes out, shakes my hand and introduces his self. Once inside everyone is pleasant to be around and they have a cool dog too.
Unfortunately when it came to car audio I didn’t really get a warm and fuzzy with there knowledge. I don’t know too much about car audio and don’t pretend to. But I couldn’t get any explanation for my issues and they didn’t seem to want to work on the car. I had to continuously ask what was next or if they could do anything. Finally they started troubleshooting after they seemed reluctant to do.
So since then I have been to four car audio shops and have found My go spot. I would suggest shopping around if you’re looking into getting some audio work done.
Edit: This was my opinion I wasn’t trying to go back and forth but I’m writing this after the business response. I do recall you saying that you had 40 years experience. But you also said that you had been out of the car audio game until about three years ago. Certain questions that were asked were responded with I don’t know how to do that you’ll have to ask my guy or I can’t keep up with everything going on in the audio world. That it wasn’t the same when you used to do it.
When I asked your co worker my questions he was very short and vague. I was left there not understanding what the problems were or what the options were to correct any problems or next steps. Once again. Just my opinion.

These guys are ridiculously good. Seriously, the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. I made the mistake of buying a mediocre keyless entry system from a different place and could’ve easily been stuck for $ 500, but Karl and Joel figured out how to make it work — perfectly. Any other place would’ve just blamed the manufacturer and called it a day. But these guys called the manufacturer several times and kept at until everything was just right. They went way above and beyond the call of duty.

Caralarm system looks good. Installed super fast. Lifetime warranty and excellent service. Will be back for sure.

We bought a 3 yr old car, it has backup assist, but we wanted to get a backup camera installed and have it work with the existing 8″ touch screen. I researched car forums to get a better idea of what it would take to install it for our car. After calling about 8 places, I chose Cutting Edge because when discussing it with them I felt more comfortable that they had the best knowledge of how to do it with our specific car. Additionally they have warehouses that aren’t that far away, so it didn’t take between 7 and 14 business days for parts to arrive from over-​seas (at least 4 of the other places I called gave me a time range like that). After about 3 weeks of checking around, I called them on a Monday and set it up with Joel, he verified their warehouse had the parts and then called Wednesday when the parts arrived, dropped the car off for about 2.5 hours and we had the camera installed by Wednesday afternoon. The camera is a high quality HD camera with a wide-​angle. Joel sat in the car with us and went over the camera including how far out to the sides it showed and the distance for the markings.
They gave us a fair price, the garage area was eat-​off-​the-​floor clean, Joel called me back when he said he’d call me back, they had the parts when they said they’d get the parts, they triple-​teamed the car and got it installed faster than they said it would take.
These guys were professional, pleasant and showed they genuinely care about their customers.
If we need something additional done to the car, we’ll definitely take it back to them.
(Oh yeah, when we bought the car about a month ago, we noticed that one of the license plate lights (that’s recessed inside the car) was loose and some trim above the trunk handle was slightly mis-​aligned. I didn’t mention either of those 2 things to them, but they fixed both while doing the camera install.)

Probably the nicest and experienced guys doing car-​related stuff out there. I have no experience in car installs or how to check for good workmanship. I trusted Unilocal,and was not disappointed. They know their cars and the electronics that goes with it. I got my Android Auto head unit installed from these guys and a backup camera installed on my Mazda3. Took them 2 hours to install it and it was a thorough job.
I will be back in the future for more car related fixes and will definitely recommend it to my friends who need a quick fix for their old car in the form of Bluetooth, rear cam or a nice HD radio.

I could go on and explain how much I would recommend this place to anyone who need work done on their car. But it’s worth the experience, the amount of detail that they put into your car is just amazing, and the owner is really understand. I got a pioneer navigation system + Gm-​d8604 amp on a 10 in alp.
Fell in love again with my car after I heard the sound. Bass is on point, perfect amount of power. I blowed my subwoofer out when back and they replaced it with no additional charge.
If you don’t understand cars he also explain to tells you explicitly what you need and what you don’t need.

What can I say about Cutting Edge Audio. First let me start off by saying Joel and Karl are great!
I’m not going to tell my whole story on how I ended up at Cutting Edge, but let’s just say I had some work done at a shop right around the corner from Cutting Edge #cough Car Stereo Ci… And had to bring it back to them several times for crappy work. I finally got fed up and found Joel.
The first time I went there he diagnosed and fixed my issue (wrong size bulb for switchback led light) fixed!
Then I started having issues with my speakers and subwoofer. I spoke with Karl who explained to me that what I really needed was a better Amp. I then found out that the brand speakers that Car Stereo Ci. told me they installed was incorrect.Smh. The speakers were not bad speakers. but why lie?
I did not want to replace my head unit, but wanted a better sound which is why I got the speakers and subwoofer. I ended with a Pioneer Amp and got a great deal on it. Let me tell you this, when I picked up my car and tested the sound, it sounds 100% better with this Amp.
I would highly recommend Cutting Edge Audio& Vehicle Security. Oh, and I can’t forget about Hunter. Joel. Your dog is spoiled and so cute :-)

Like many others, I discovered Cutting Edge through Unilocal and all the reviews it got. I requested Joel for a quote about installing a backup camera for my 3^rd gen CRV and he got back to me really quick. We discussed what needed to be done and I made an appointment to get it installed.
You can tell that Joel has a lot of experience under his belt as he just went to town as soon as he pulled the vehicle in the installation bay. He wasted no time with the install and did it really quick.
If you guys are looking for a quality audio/​video car electronics installer, this is the place to be!

I found this installer on Unilocal and, based on the great reviews, i thought i would give them a whirl.
I have a 2016 Audi A6 3.0T that i just purchased a few weeks before and wanted to custom install a laser parking assist system.
The install consisted of 2 sensors installed in the front grill and a brain that goes behind the dash, an LED light, and a tethered hand held controller. The most important thing i wanted (besides not ruining my car) was for the install to look factory and stealthy.
He and his staff did a perfect job. They were extremely careful with all the parts and the car was unharmed! The install is about as stealthy as it gets. The LED is hardly visible from the outside and the hand-​held controller is stored out of the way completely when not in use.
The place is clean and the prices were more than reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend them for your most demanding installs and demanding and obsessive customers like me.

I read all these reviews and thought, man, I can’t go wrong coming to this place. Well I did. I came in for a basic alarm. The first thing I asked was if they could wire it up so that I could still arm the car while my turbo timer was counting down. I’ve had this done in the past with other vehicles so i knew it was possible. Joel tells me «yes, that shouldn’t be a problem» He called me a few hours later to pick up the car. «Yeah, I couldn’t get it to arm with the turbo timer on and I couldn’t figure out why the kill switch won’t work. I’ll have to do some research.» I also get halfway home and decide to turn the radio on, nothing, no power. I installed it myself. So I troubleshot it when I got home and was able to get power to it again.
That was a Friday, I never got a call back the next week so I called back on Wednesday, he says he didn’t get a chance to do «research». I ended up doing the research myself to see what others have done to wire up turbo timers. I bring it over and Joel ends up having someone else look at it. I tell Karl what’s going on and he was able to fix it in a couple of hours or so. I get back there to pick it up and head home, radio won’t power on again. LOL The next day, the alarm siren is intermittently working as well. The ignition kill switch for the alarm is still NOT working at this point as well. I couldn’t get back for about a week. That whole week was spent with an alarm that didn’t do anything except for unlock/​lock my doors. I also had to find a different power source for my radio.
I bring it back… again. This time Joel takes a look at it. Calls me back a couple of hours later telling me it’s all working now. He said he messed up and it was a bad ground. I drive off. Halfway down the road, I noticed that my turbo timer has no power. The radio does not have power again! I am irritated beyond belief by now. I can’t figure out why they would call me, telling me that everything is done without checking to make sure that everything is working the way it was when i brought it in. Even Circuit City would never release a car without verifying that everything was working before and after their work was done. And they are out of business now. I also don’t know why they would keep pulling power from my radio. Later on that day, the alarm brain falls and blocks my clutch pedal… while I’m on the freeway!
I call them once again to have them check my car. This would be the 4^th time I would have had to make the trip out there. When I bought the car, the drivers door lock was not working. I could hear the actuator working but the lock would not lock/​unlock. I asked another local business about it. While talking to him, he noticed the alarm brain just hanging there. I tell him the story. He tells me to hold on while he makes a call. He ends up calling another local shop. This other shop, which I’ve never dealt with, tells me to bring it in and he will fix everything Cutting Edge messed up on for FREE! I have not been back to Cutting Edge and never will.
That other shop was able to fix everything. Radio, alarm kill switch, etc. They were even able to tie down the alarm brain. They fixed my drivers power door lock as well.
Oh yeah, I just found out that Cutting Edge is NOT an authorized Viper Dealer. Do a search on the Viper website. They don’t come up. The shop that fixed everything for me did though. So good luck if you do end up going here for an alarm. Hope you have a better experience than i did.

Once again… Cutting Edge Audio & Vehicle Security for the WIN! Been looking for an audio system for my Yamaha Viking Vi Side by Side and Karl Murrah not only pointed me in the right direction but got me the best pricing ever on the MTX MUDSYS46 sound bar. This thing sounds AMAZING! Not only did it sound AMAZING… but the price was even more AMAZING! Couldn’t find it anywhere cheaper online and Karl took care of me big time! To save me even more money, Karl hooked me up with an installation video so that I could do it myself and save a little dough! Took me a couple of hours but that’s only because I wanted the installation to look like a professional did it and took the time to heat shrink, crimp and run all the wires nicely. Definitely hit these guys up if you want a POSITIVE EXPERIENCE! THANKS KARL, JOEL AND HUNTER for take care of me!
Oh by the way… if you need window tint… GET IT HERE! I was pretty much in and out in about an hour and half for 7 windows on a Lexus ES350. Plenty of time to grab lunch and come back for it to be finished!

I am so thankful to Joel for the work that he has done with the audio in my 2005 Yukon. He brought it back to life. I was referred to him by a good friend and when I arrived at his shop it was clean and the stereo installation in one of the cars that he had already finished was impressive. I knew then I had come to the right place.
He installed a Pioneer system as well as new speakers and I love the sound. I also had my alarm system redone. Joel was honest, thorough, and affordable. I had to come back to have a rear view camera installed and Joel didn’t charge me for any extra work and he didn’t sell me anything that I didn’t need. I got a great deal and he stands behind his work. He is quick and efficient, and he has a very comfortable office to hang out in while you wait. You also get to play with the nice dog. Next is window tint and I am excited to have Joel do that for me as well. Make sure that you come check this guy out. You won’t regret it
