Cosmopolitan Cleaners affectionately known as Cosmo Cleaners was established 1990. From our humble beginnings a customer commitment was made and remains true 21 years later «give customers your best and they will return» So far it’s working great!

The dry cleaning business has evolved over the last 20 years and the biggest change is caring for our environment. We made the change in 2005 to «Earth Friendly» Hydrocarbon cleaning. Change was difficult and costly but it was completely worth it. Our business has grown and our earth friendly quality is better then ever! The person who is supposed to be at the counter went out for an extended lunch. If that’s how this establishment does customer service then they have reached an entitled point. Leaving a post to go have lunch while customers are waiting is unacceptable. Not to mention, there wasn’t a single apology when they returned for keeping us waiting. Ridiculous!

Actual prices are 40% higher than website shows. They claim that they are just slow updating the webpage, but the massive difference in price makes it feel more like deliberate bait and switch. They offered to honor the advertised price, but i don’t want the couple dollars back: i want my trust back which unfortunately they have lost.

My friend dropped off dry cleaning for me. He just picked it up. Coat is now faded. One of the bottoms on the back of the hood is now coming off. Lose strings at the bottom of my coat and the belt that goes around the coat is still somewhat dirty and there was a yellow paint spot near the collar of the coat which obviously I didn’t turn it in that way. Ridiculous waste of money. Next time I will choose a different company!

I started working in the Mira Mesa area again after years of working elsewhere, so I was initially happy to be able to resume using these guys for my dry cleaning.
Wow, this place has really gone downhill. I dropped off two shirts there a few weeks ago and came back to pick them up on the scheduled date and they weren’t ready.
I came back the next Monday and one was done but the other was dirtier than when I dropped it off and was not starched at all as requested. I had them do it again and went to pick it up a few days later. It still was not completely clean, and still not starched at all.
I’m not sure if there was ownership change in the last few years but their
prices have gone way up and their service has been run into the ground.

We took our drycleaning in there and on the ticket they gave us among about 20 other items it says that there was a women’s blouse. When we picked it up they said that they were short the blouse. We went back in to talk to them and they insisted it was a mistake and we never gave them that blouse in the first place even though it was on the ticket. I honestly do so much dry cleaning that I have no idea whether they lost a item of mine or not. They were pleasant about it and insisted they didn’t but it has just been a huge headache to deal with and I still might be short and item of clothing.

Ok here is the problem I have with this place. I went to this place cause it I brought 2 suits and needed them cleaned. This place was close to work so I tried it out. Got my suits back, one of them came back with the collar detached and the other came back with a hole in one of the legs. The bad part is that since I don’t wear my suits often I didn’t find out these things until 3 – 4 months later when I took them out of the dry cleaning bag to get ready for a wedding. At that point I couldn’t return it to the dry cleaners, and even sucker is that I had only worn each of those suits once. Never go back to this place and I warn anyone that goes to this to be careful.

I’ve been using Cosmo Cleaners for years — both dry cleaning and for my shirts. A couple of weeks ago I dropped off my shirts and headed off on other errands. About 20 minutes later I got a call from Cosmo telling me that they had found $ 16 in the pocket of one of my shirts. I finished all my errands and went back to Cosmo. The $ 16 was in a little plastic zip bag, waiting for me.
I’m in a fortunate position where I probably never would have missed the $ 16. (Must have been on auto-​pilot — change from lunch as the café perhaps — when I put it in my pocket to begin with).
So in addition to consistently high quality professional cleaning, these folks have high ethical and professional standards. They are the best!

They do a very good job on items I have dropped off for dry cleaning and simple hem work. I gave them only three stars because I think their prices are a little on the high side and their lack of customer service from the front desk. I dropped off a dress to have hemmed and came back on the date printed on the receipt for pick up. My dress was not hemmed and the front desk girl told me they would call me once the dress was available for pick up. One week passed and I still didn’t receive a call. I went in to the shop to see if the dress was done and it was! What bothered me the most was I did not receive an apology. It seemed like the front desk girl did not care. :(

I have been using this place for about a year. They always seem to do a good job on my clothes, but they really need some work in the customer service department. I walked in to pick up a large order and there was what appeared to be a friend of the front desk staff sitting on the stool in front of the counter. He proceeded to sit at the counter and play with his phone while I stood behind him. Had my clothes been ready (A few hours to early), I would have had to pass my Visa over him to pay. Really annoying. I will continue to use their services, but I’m not impressed by the service at all.

I’ve been going to Cosmo cleaners for over 4 years (~$ 1,200 per year). I mostly get my business shirts & slacks pressed and a few dry cleaning items for my wife.
I’ll list the good over the years:
— Timeliness — Very quick, can even do next day
— Convenience — If you work in the area can pick and drop off without stopping in
— Friendliness — Until recently the girl at the desk new my name (she’s gone now)
— Discount — Corporate Discounts (though corporate discount for Qualcomm has decreased over the years, while the price of items increased)
Now the reason for the poor rating:
— When I get my clothes cleaned I EXPECT it returned in the same form as it was given, just pressed. Over the last few years, we’ve had half a dozen items ruined. Two of my wife’s dresses were ruined with improper handling, and multiple nice (Hugo, BB) shirts completely destroyed. The most recent example, a brand new shirt dropped off with 20 others. When I received back, half of the buttons were missing or broken, and they had tried to cover it up by using the extras. So they offered to replace the buttons, which was a nice gesture, until I received the shirt back and none of them fit in the button holes, ugh!
I know that over a year or two a shirt will wear down and need replacement, but I won’t stand for multiple ruined shirts. Unfortunately It’s time to part ways, but hope the owner reads the review and improves the outsourced pressing company used.

Cosmo Dry Cleaners are awesome at what they do. Everything I’ve had cleaned there has come back to me better than new! They also do a complimentary pick up service on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so it’s very convenient if you work nearby. I’ve never had anything dry cleaned until I set up the service at my office, and I’m very impressed!
The only reason I didn’t give them a 5-​star rating is that I feel they nickel-​and-​dime you. All my coats and dresses that have sashes/​belts end up with an extra fee for cleaning the belt.

Cosmo cleaners has been terrific with us! First off, I used them for the last several years through my company. My husband loves the way his suits and shirts are cleaned and returned. They take the time to stuff the sleeves of suit jackets, long sleeve shirts, and even pin the sleeves together on the long sleeve shirts. We’ve never feld like we have been over charged, nor do we think we can get better service anywhere else. Anytime I’ve ever had a rush service or need an item repaired, it is done ontime and we’ve never been charged more.
I’ve just recently transitioned jobs and now work from home. Cosmo cleaners has setup a home pick-​up and delivery route for us! We are so happy to be able to continue using their service! We live in the Stonebridge Estates area of Scripps Ranch and this is quite a drive for them, but they are willing to do this to keep our business. If you are in our area, and are looking for the best cleaners there is, please let them know so that they can add you to our route!

I have been bringing my dry cleaning here for years and they have treated me very well. I live in the Del Mar and Carmel Valley area and I have noticed that the dry cleaning places in that area are quite a bit more expensive so that is why I head to Sorrento Valley to drop off my dry cleaning. Their turn around time is normal and their staff is friendly.

I dropped off my alternations here — very simple alterations.
1. You need to schedule an appointment if you need complicated alterations
2. Don’t be surprised if you ask how much (when you drop it off) and you are paying DOUBLE when you pick it up!!!
I give this place one star because item #2. I don’t appreciate asking how much it would cost and then plan to pay double. If you don’t know for sure, please say, «this is an estimate or better yet, I can call you and let you know before we do the work.»
Hem (one layers, a simple cotton dress) — $ 24.95! I was quoted $ 13.

These days, it seems like I only review a business if I really love the service or really hate it. Cosmo Cleaners is one worthy of a great review! I took our baby’s Vintage Christening Dress here to get rid of a little stain and freshen it up. I was really nervous to take it to just any old dry cleaners, due to the fact that it happens to be an antique family heirloom. I ended up taking a gamble and brought it to Cosmo, because it was down the street from my office in the Sorrento valley/​Mira Mesa area. When I got the dress back (the very next day), it was beautiful! It looked better than I had ever seen it, in fact. The price was right and they got the job done quick! Above and beyond our expectations! Highly recommended! Thanks again!

Very pricey but the shop is conveniently near the office. Cosmopolitan are always on time, get the toughest stains out, and treat my clothes with kindness. Yes, they do baby my garments.
Cosmopolitan Cleaners is located in a food court by Sorrento Towers. Parking can be difficult but they do have 15 minutes spaces reserved for dropping and picking up garments.

When arriving anew to any city, there are a few things that are good to know:
1. Which hospital to tell the ambulance to drive like hell to if found in the back of one
2. Where the best overall sushi can be found (price and quality)
3. Who to order pizza delivery from, and their hours
4. Fastest quality breakfast (not fad, quality and quick)
5. A spot to find great deals and variety on wine, beer, booze
6. Recommendations on doctor, dentist, accountant, attorney; and finally
7. Where to get clothes dry cleaned for a fair price, and with good service
Upon the recommendation of a friend, we ended up at Salon Sol for Sarah’s hair, and was informed that there was a good cleaners in the same plaza.
I walked in to Cosmo cleaners feeling great that I had conquered this item on my to do list. Sadly, I had just missed the deadline to get the clothes cleaned the same day, but they offered the next day at ten am. Great, that’s the next best thing… only meant I had to drive all the way back here to pick ‘em up. No problem.
Then came the sweetness. I was given 25% off my order since I was a first time customer. This, and the girl behind the counter welcomed me to San Diego and was certain that I would like it here.
It was 10:30 in the morning, and I was high on life. I got a «thank you». I got a «here’s a bonus for you just being you». And I got a «we’re happy to have you».
So, mark the cleaners off the list, at least the Mira Mesa cleaners. As soon as I move, I could use a recommendation on something more local. :)
And as for the others above, please let me know if there are any recommendations that can be thrown my way. I’m new in town and need some help!
Tip: if you need same day, get it in by 10 to pick up by 4. Good spot!

This place rocks, they are right near my work and provide free pick up and delivery of your clothes! They are earth-​friendly cleaners and they do good work. They even let me pick up some of my clothes and pay a week later. I really love the girl who does the tailoring, she is just hilarious and very outgoing. I hate having to get all pinned and tucked, but she made it a pleasure.
While she was hemming a knee-​length skirt for me, I asked her «Do you think this is too short?» and she just laughed and said «Don’t ask me, I like it SEXY — Go for it!»
Made for some fun in the middle of my work week. And a «sexy» new skirt!
