I get me Cars serviced at Henry’s next door. I’ve been going to Henry’s for 20 years but only today noticed this hole in the wall place. I walked in met Mohammed the owner, and asked him to make me an authentic plate… well he did and it was amazing. Don’t be fooled by the size or the looks of the place. Give him a try you will love it. He’s been here for 14! Years…

Very good food. Small little hold in the wall. Good for a quick exotic meal.

Ever walk into a place called «Coffee Time Daily», ask for a coffee, and have the guy behind the counter respond like he doesn’t know what coffee is? Well, welcome once again to a little lesson in cultural anthropology which tells us why the situation in Somalia is so bad.
Another Somali joint. Not quite as clean as Safari Grill and with a non-​existent menu that’s even more opaque. Still, if you’re into Somali food and want to see all that San Diego’s Little Mogadishu has to offer, stop by.
Actually, I even ordered the coffee here once. I struggled to make the guy understand that I wanted coffee like they drink it in Somalia. Eventually, I got something that resembled coffee, but that had nondescript stuff floating in it. These may have been spices … or maybe he just didn’t wash the styrofoam cup since the last time he used it. Still, it was pretty good and definitely interesting.
