I love me a bargain and this store delivers! It’s much cheaper than the «bargains» you can find at Marshall’s next door and the selection is great! I was shocked to see such trendy styles and was pleasantly surprised to see that the quality isn’t complete crap either!
They have a great selection of both casual and party wear. You can find a sexy dress for the club or a cute outfit to wear out to brunch. They even have under-​garments and a small shoe selection.
They have a decent number of dressing rooms and the staff is helpful enough. Like I said, I am a bargain shopper so I know I’ll be back!

Very rude sales girls. I was in earlier today and the girl forgot to put my earrings I purchased in my bag along with a shirt I bought. I didn’t realize it until I got home so I called them and asked them to please hold them for me since it was their mistake. They weren’t apologetic at all! I made another trip out of my way to go pick them up and the girl just handed me the bag and didn’t say anything! Perhaps if I would have gotten an apology I would not be writing this. Extremely annoyed and frustrated I had to drive all the way back there and didn’t get an «I’m sorry for the inconvenience»
I will not be shopping at this location again.

I always find something I like at this store at really good prices. Everything seems neatly organized and the staff seems friendly and helpful. I had never thought to leave a review, but today while shopping there one of the girls was super accommodating and brought me some soft jackets for me to lay my sleeping daughter on while I tried on some clothes. Experiences like these are hard to ever forget when you have kids! Thanks!

Just started working down here and I love being able to jet over to the Closet on my lunch break! They have such a variety of clothes that are very reasonably prices. Super cute short and maxi dresses, and the best deal for plain colored tees and tanks!
i have been to the Closet in PB and in Oceanside and this one beats them all. friendly staff and you don’t feel like everything is just jammed into the racks

If you are looking for a place that has a variety to choose from this is the place! Finally a store that has my size. I was very happy with the displays and range of sizes unlike a lot of clothing stores these days this place had sizes from 0-​plus and a lot to choose from. This is one store I will definitely be visiting again. It was very nice and clean with everything actually in its place for once. The staff was very helpful by directing me to the right clothing sections, and were available right away for the dressing rooms. Best of all I found quite a few items on sale and even got some gifts for friends as well. The checkout was quick and easy with no waiting time. I love the store layout it was very easy to shop and I was able to find exactly what I went in looking for and of course some extras. They also have accessories which were very tempting to match with my new outfits, but I did refrain until next time. The prices were very affordable and I am excited to be visiting here again. I would definitely recommend this store!

I usually frequent the Horton Plaza and Pacific Beach locations (especially the one closest to Mission Blvd), and thought I’d check out this other location, oddly situated in a mini-​mall with Sprouts.
This location was HUGE, and I like how they divide the space into two halves separated by walls so that one section houses all the casual/​bohemian styles (and sale items) whereas the other half has the more upscale dresses and clothing, items you would find in the Closet «Signature» store.
For basics, every Closet store has plenty of tees, tanks, crops, layering camis and tube tops, but this location has the biggest selection and HUGE variety of colors! They not only had the tube top undergarments that look great layered under loose tanks but longer ones if you want that look without exposing your midriff.
The all-​women staff was very helpful and friendly and knew where to find things pretty quickly.
I do wish they would turn the music down though. It was super loud, pumping Z90 hip hop. If this music is too loud for me, does this mean I’m getting too old for the clothes sold here? Never!
TIP: Selection changes often so if you see something you like grab it before it’s gone in a week or two!

The best way I can describe the Closet is that it’s a miniature version of Forever 21 – stylish apparel and affordable prices that doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg.
Their clothes aren’t the best quality, but they are trendy and will last you for the current season. It’s located between TJ Maxx and Home Goods, and I just automatically stop by the Closet whenever I’m walking by. Sometimes I find a cute top or pants/​skirts that catches my eye and other times, I don’t find anything I like. They also have cute jewelry, hats, purses, and other accessories.
My favorite item they carry are their strapless bras for only $ 2.99…yes you read it right, ONLY $ 2.99! They are actually quite comfortable and they sell it in every color of the rainbow and then some! I’ve seen a similar style bra at Kohl’s for 4x’s the price.
Happy shopping! And if you don’t see anything… well, just walk over to TJ Maxx.

Cool indy store. My friend has shopped here before since she used to live in the area and suggested we go here. The clothes were nice. There were many where they only had large sizes, which sucked. The discount clothing rack was like that too. I go lucky on some items. Only had this place had smaller sizes in stock, I wouldn’t left with a huge trash bagful of clothing lol
This place has a stock of travel luggage too. There were some cool designs, but too bad I have too many of them. This store sells shoes, purses, bags, shades, and other interesting stuff.

This store can be compared to Papaya or Styles for Less. It has all the must have items and is definitely up to date with fashion, but half of the store is just generic tank tops, wife beaters, and t-​shirts. I’ll go in and find a thing or two and be satisfied, but I don’t think I would leave with bag-​fulls of finds.
I’m definitely a fan because of their price points. If you’re looking for a cute, fast, cheap outfit for something last minute, you could probably find it here, but don’t expect the quality to be amazing.

Material is decent… I usually don’t wear street clothing often (always in work uniform) so I won’t wear them out as quickly as someone else. great place to find a piece to complete your outfit. Also great for basic clothing (tank tops, shorts… etc)

clothes for cheap! I buy a lot of basics from here, simple tops etc. not crazy about their accessories, they look very cheap in my opinion. I like that they give a military discount on Tuesdays but wish they offered it regularly. Shoe section could be organized better and every time I see a cute pair of shoes they never have my size :(the location in ocean beach is better to me.

I can always find an entire outfit in here. It’s one of those girly stores that has clothes jewelry shoes yada yada yada. But it doesn’t have all the crap that you don’t want just all the good stuff.

I lived in San Diego for 6 years and this is the only place I would go to get ribbed tank tops and tank tops with lace on them. I mean, 3 for $ 10 and sometime 4 for $ 10???You canNOT beat that price! Though the quality may not be department store quality that lasts and lasts, these tank tops do their job!!!
Since moving away from San Diego, I have looked far and wide, traveled from coast to coast to find comparable prices and quality and what I learned is that there is no place like the Closet! This is by far the best place for tank tops in the world!!!
Everytime I visit San Diego (which is less than once a year) I make sure I stock up on my tank tops, this last trip I bought over 30 — didn’t really have enough room in my suitcase but I made it work because these tank tops are worth it!!!
I can’t really comment on other clothing because literally all I do is buy tank tops! Get yours today!!!

Here’s the deal with a place like The Closet… You get what you pay for. Yes you can find those trendy neon pink skinny pants for 14 bucks just go into it knowing they aren’t going to last you through next season. Which is perfectly fine with a garment like that because trust me– neon pants will most likely be totally out of date by next year. Loads and loads of basics at ridiculous prices… T shirts and tanks in every color of the rainbow. I used to go to F21 for these sorts of items but The Closet I think has their prices beat. So if you’re looking to try the latest trend on the cheap and take it for what it is– a seasonal trend– you surely will not be disappointed

I do so love these shops. The clothes aren’t the best quality you could ever find, but there are a lot of really cute tops and bottoms (work appropriate, and weekend wear) available here.
You can go in and spend $ 50 on a huge bag of different items, or you could go in and spend $ 50 on one or two items. It all really just depends on what you’re looking for that day.
They have several different sale racks, which is where I usually start. Be sure to give the items on those racks the once-​over before buying them. Some of them are in perfect condition, some of them need a little needle and thread work, and some of them are too far gone to be of any use to you (or anybody else, for that matter). But, there are some good deals to be had there.
They usually have a large selection of some really cute summer dresses. This is actually where my obsession with summer dresses came from — they’re colorful, have good cuts to them, are good lengths, and look good on. Plus, they’re really inexpensive!
You probably won’t get the best customer service out of the girls there — I’ve encountered girls that range from flat-​out snotty to super friendly, though honestly, the «super friendly» ones are in short supply. It’s fine, though — I don’t go in for their sparkling personalities. I go in for the bargain deals.

As others have said, you definitely get what you pay for, and I’m super pleased with my mix and match 3 for $ 10 tanks, leggings, and tees. In fact I just wish I’d stocked up even more.
IMO, the shoes looked especially cheap and what I tried on was not at all comfortable.
Most clothing I tried on fit true to size which is a rarity for discount outfitters such as this. Definitely worth a look!
The cashier also gave me a flier for their website and a discount code — as if their prices weren’t low already!

im as fickle as the next girl when it comes to clothes. in one day, ‘what the hell was i thinking’ the next. so places like closet help my bi-​polar clothes shopping affordable. house of all the staple clothing you can imagine, typically in every color: camis, stretch cotton shorts (great for around the house and working out), basic tops, simple dresses, jean shorts and skirts, cheap stretch jeans, etc. a lot of their basic items are listed as 2 for $ 10, 3 of $ 12, etc. also great place for cheap accessories like hats and jewelry
On a recent trip I got some super soft comfy loose off the shoulder long shirts for $ 6.50 each in royal blue, brown, black. score, thankyouverymuch! that, dueled with a lace undershirt/​slip made the perfect mini dress for gaslamp clubbing! i wouldn’t call this a great place for a plethora of more unique things — i managed to find a print dress i liked and have had luck with tops /​blouses in the past.
obviously closet is all over town and ive been to the OB and PB ones too but for whatever reason I have had more luck at this location.

You get what you pay for. I don’t expect my clothes to last forever so Closet is good enough for me. Trendy. Cute. Affordable. That’s all I need. You can look «in-​style» without breaking your bank account.

I shop at all closet stores in SD but this location is now larger. Love the clothes here because it’s economical. Can’t complain on the quality and price. If you’re looking for quality then pay for quality. I tend to buy and wear my clothes once or twice so this works perfect for me. I would give a «4» for the stylish clothing attire, cute shoes and a variety of accessories.
The cashiers are alright. No one really stands out in customer service so I need to give them a «2» for service. The PB location is better with service.
