Amazing south indian food. Very pleasant setup and food is worth every penny. Loved the chutneys and sambar.

We had medhu vadai, dahi vadai, rava dosas, butter masala dosa, and podi dosa. Everything was fresh with the right amount of crisp… flavorful and spicy chutneys as well. I would go back again and wish them all the best.

We were visiting the area for two days. Now I LOVE dosa especially andhra kara masala dosa ever since I found it at my to go place. While looking around I found out this place has the andhra kara dosa. So we ordered to go as we couldn’t stay. The dosa was just okay. I think my to go place back home is the only place I like for my dosa now. But what reallyyy pissed me off was that they didn’t give any of the chutneys. Blah. Overall nothing great. Just okay.

I absolutely love this place! The dosas are really good. The idli is always super warm and soft. It just gets a little unorganized during busy hours but the staff is very patient and attend you with courtesy.

They r the very best so they r very slow and never smiles, forget those don’t expect them from any Indian restaurant. If you expect them from any restaurant they r about to close their business think in that way. You may love chicken a lot n lot and that to chicken biryani you don’t want to miss. Even then I suggest go to this restaurant, one time try pure South Indian home made veggie food. These r to the peak in food. Their way of providing chutneys unlimited is quite impressive and providing water in jug when there r four or more group is broad minded. Don’t try any sort of Biryani here, try any thing else even gobi too it’s not like the one you find any other. Most of reviews u will find only common thing they r slow and never smile … Forget about those two don’t focus on them, so be with patience n calm u will enjoy great food They r pretty good

Probably one of the best places in san diego to eat vegetarian food. The staff are very friendly and supporting. Dosas are the best in menu. Would strongly recommend.

Jut went there with family that are visiting from India. One line: «Tastes no different than real south Indian dishes!» The management is very warm and welcoming. Highly recommend to those craving authentic south Indian«tiffin»! P. S.: They have amazing sides of chutneys and Sambhar for no additional cost!

Good food. If you are fan of south indian snacks like Idli, dosa or uttapa you should try this one. Ambiance is not that great but food is so no complaints.

Truly great dosas here, beautifully light, not oily, and perfectly seasoned. Often dosas are too salty elsewhere. Tried the Mysore Masala dosa, and the Special Ravva Masala dosa. The thali was excellent, with at least four items standing apart as hauntingly delicious! The sambar was really satisfying and just right in its spicy heat level. All 5 different chutneys were lovely. The afterglow confirms that I’ll surely be back here with friends for more.

We ordered a plate of idlis! They were soft and delicious! You get 2 idlis for a plate and there will be 6 – 8 dips/chutneys for the tiffins. Also, sambar unlimited. Very authentic taste. Can give a shot.

We arrived here for dinner at 9.10pm on a Friday only because Unilocal said they were open till 10pm. We’d barely sat at our table when the waitress told us that the kitchen was closing in 10 mins and that she needed our order ASAP. She didn’t have the courtesy to step away from the table and neither did she give us even a minute to think over our order. When the food arrived, it was all bland and lacked any real spice. The idlis were hard and seemed to have been made earlier in the day and put through the microwave a few seconds before hitting our table. When it was 9.25pm, the waiters started putting up the chairs on all our neighboring tables as though telling us that it was time for us to get out. I asked the lady at the counter why Unilocal said they closed at 10pm and all I got back was a sheepish«we’ll fix that». Even if it is closing time at a restaurant, it is common courtesy to allow the last few guests to finish their meal in peace. Almost all customers understand that the waiters and waitresses also have families to go home to, and don’t intend to delay them on purpose. All in all, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I’ve never been made to feel this unwelcome at any restaurant. I won’t be setting foot in here ever again.

I feel so lucky to have found this hidden treasure! I have always enjoyed Indian food but I have somehow missed out on a whole region– South Indian. Omg if you love traditional Indian food but you have never tried dosa, go here! If you love sauces and spicy food– also go here! If you love great service and value, just go. It’s a win win. My partner, a meat-eater, was very satisfied and didn’t even miss having a meat option here. He loved the sauces, the sambar(lentil soup included with your meal!) and was super full with his dinner meal(the Mysore Masala dosa) at $ 6.99. I ordered the spring dosa with no cheese and it was amazing! Every bite had different kinds of tiny veggies and fresh herbs, and all of the sauces were vegan(yay!!) so I had a different flavor with every bite. Dosa is also fermented, so for those out there looking for healthy ethnic food, look no further. A filling healthy dinner for $ 17 and the man is full and happy? Yes please, where do I sign up?

I always end up eating here atleast once during my visits to San Diego partly because we frequent the plaza for the Temple, Groceries, Sweets etc and essentially because i Love the dosas they are nice and crispy. They have three types of chutney(peanut, tomato and coconut) and Gun Powder. I wish the Sambar was better, also it tastes a little different everytime. I tried the Thali once and i wouldn’t recommend it. Go for the Dosas you will not be disappointed. I also like their Coffee.

A total $h!t box of a restaurant. The service and food is extremely bad. Avoid this place at all cost. The Dosa are all soggy and flavorless. Customer service is really really bad. We had to go to the kitchen to get the gossiping waiters to help us. Avoid this place and don’t go by 3⁄5 avg review.
