I had tried everything to feel better. Mayer’s cocktail weekly infusions, homeopathy, acupuncture, vitamins, fish oil, excercise, conventional medicine, and Big Pharma. I did the Candida cleanse with dr. Humiston and followed the diet, I’m in maintenance mode now. I lost 15 lbs and learned a lot about what is nutritious for our health and now I know how to eat and keep my stomach happy, my stomach feeling better and no longer have headaches or hip pain. I can sleep soundly and don’t get so hot as the Candida infection in my intestines is gone. You have to eat smart to keep it away but it’s totally doable and worth it. Organic foods, grass fed tastes much better and it’s cheaper than eating out and getting served unhealthy food anyway. My friends and family saw such a dramatic improvement in my figure, I felt much more energetic and less tired, I can think more clearly now and my digestion is good. Who knew Candida was really hijacking my brain and making my body miserable. Too many antibiotics as a kid, swimming in chlorine, preserved foods, processed foods, fast food, eating sweets all led to Candida to take over. An official diagnosis isn’t really needed when you read through signs and symptoms and see you have most of them and want to cleanse your body naturally with herbs and eating right. No pill or meds from a traditional dr can make you better. Surgery only covers up the problem, is temporary and dangerous and only gives an appearance of health. If you want to get rid of various body issues, bloated abdomen, headaches, insomnia, food cravings, redness in skin, digestion problems, low energy, then this is for you. Candida causes fibromyalgia eventually. I think this diet saved me from my road to diabetes 2 someday. I always craved sweets and had excess fat on my stomach that exercise could not get rid of. Eating healthier and exercising prior yielded weak, slow results. This was fast results and it stuck, I have not gained back the weight. I was losing about a half lb a day. It’s not a crash diet, not fake food like other diets our there making millions. They’re not taking advantage of people selling their cardboard soy filled «diet» food. They guide you in what foods to buy at popular stores. There are supplements to heal your body, individualized to your body needs. And he was conservative with me, I tested negative for many. He was not pushy, I am pleased with my results and hope more can learn of this and benefit from it. Surgery and meds cost thousands, and aren’t real fixes, so a few hundred dollars to get a healthy body and mind is worth it. So what if you need to take a few herbal capsules, they care to prevent you from falling backwards, that’s good to be able to maintain it. I feel great and lost a lot of weight in the process and am really healthy now. I know how to cook for my family now and we’re all looking and feeling good now. (My dad did nuttiest stem and gained it all back, my friend did meta life and gained it all back and felt sick and tired. I’ve done Atkins and gained it all back and more.). The only improvement to mention is if his assistant could return my calls as she says she will. I think they’re just swamped with so much business. Most customers don’t leave reviews, only ones w bad experiences.

Terrible. The staff here cannot get my referral to my insurance company! It’s been almost a month and my insurance has not received anything. At first, I called this office routinely to follow up on my referral and was reassured it was already sent but would be sent in again just to make sure. They blame my insurance’s system for being slow and outdated, funny– never have had an issue with referrals from other providers. I looked them up on Unilocal (after the fact) and found many negative reviews regarding their follow-​up and referral process. I obviously sought care elsewhere because I cannot wait until this office gets their S*** together in order to continue seeking care. I wanted to give 0 stars.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!

I went to Dr Humistin for about 6 months, during which time I progressively became sicker (to the point of being bedridden for a month) based on his interventions. When I quit doing what he said, and reverted to my prior medication/​vitamin regimen, my health returned to its normal state… granted its still crappy, but at least I’m not fully bedridden. I should have seen the warning signs: the muscle strength tests, the diagnosis of candida without any accompanying lab work, his refusal to order the labs that I requested, staff not returning my phone calls, etc. I debated giving him 2 stars because I did think he was a «nice» person deep down; but then I opted for 1 star because if he was really as nice as he seems in the initial appointment, he would have cared more about my wellbeing during the time I was his patient. As a little side note, when I parted ways with his practice, I asked if they cared why and was told «no, we don’t need to know that» by his MA. Well okay then! LOL

I have been going to this office for over two years now and I have always had a good experience. I have probably referred at least a dozen of my friends and family here also because the doctors I’ve seen here are the best I’ve found for holistic medicine. Dr. Gray is so knowledgeable about the health issues I had and put me on a plant based bio compatible hormone replacement regimen that helped me tremendously! Finally, No more hot flashes! But, I was still struggling with my energy levels, weight, hair loss, stomach bloat, puffy eyes, aching joints, typical age related things that creep up on you. She told me these issues could all be fixed by the nutritionist in their office, but I thought «nah, I can fix this on my own, or just deal with it» well, a year later and I realized, i didn’t want to «let myself go» I want to look and feel as good as i can for as long as I can! I should at least see this other doctor (Dr. Hollis) for a consult (right?). Once I met him, I decided to go ahead with his incredibly strict plan because he said he truly thought could fix everything i was complaining about if i did exactly what he told me to do. He never pressured me into accepting his treatment, which I appreciated. Two months later, and WOW! I feel amazing! Better than I’ve felt in 20 years, seriously! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Dr. Hollis! He is amazing. He is all about nutrition and how to cleanse and reset your body to function properly. He really knows what he’s doing.

Worst administration. Huge time waste. This could be a great place, but it is so poorly run. Don’t bother.

The first day to the office I was told about the Candida diet in which I was a little skeptical about trying but had no other choice since UCSD Medical facilities and Scripps gave me no option for feeling better. I spent the out of pocket $ 300 for the kit, which ended up not working for me. On the first day to the office when Dr. Humiston told me about the Candida kit/​diet he told me that its not for everyone and i would get a FULL refund if it didn’t work for me. I was fooled yet again by another «doctor.» I had to call the office for about a month until I was told that they refuse to give me a refund back. I do not recommend going to this place because A. I was lied to about getting my money back and B. he tried to shove more vitamins on me EVERY visit rather than reducing the amount of other random vitamins and things he was having me take. Everything was paid out of pocket (minus the office visit).
