Quite possibly the worst experience I’ve had a doctor’s office ever! I was scheduled to see Dr. Grey by the front desk staff after being told that the other doctors were booked up through next month and since I was leaving to go underway (with the Navy) for several weeks before then, I was hoping to be seen sooner. I even asked specifically if Dr. Gray could help me with what I needed (since I had seen Dr. Daily in the past) and was told yes. When Dr. Gray walked into the room 29 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, I wasn’t upset at all. I know they are busy and I would hope that they the same take time to attend to my needs just like they do others’. Though she apologized for making me wait, she immediately blamed it on other patients arriving late for their appointments and then «wanting to take up all of my time.» When she looked at what I had come in for, she started telling me that I would need to see this other doctor for one thing, and another doctor for a different thing. When I told her I was feeling frustrated since I took time off and paid to come see her and was just being referred out without anything happening, she got defensive and kept saying «I don’t know what you want me to do.» Being a little stressed, I became slightly tearful. Not only did she not blink an eye, ask me if I was ok, or offer me a tissue, her tone got even more HARSH! She repeatedly interrupted me, including to first deny the interruptions were happening, then explain why (if she didn’t, she said, she might forget to address one of my points). I calmly asked her to please listen to what I was saying and acknowledged that doctors in general are good people who are usually overworked and over booked. Boy, did that make her mad! She interrupted me to say they were NOT overbooked in a tone which suggested I was implying malpractice. She angrily said, «do you know how lucky you are we even take insurance? You would have to pay $ 400 for a visit if we didn’t!» She then criticized me for not seeing my previous physician and when I tried to explain to her the front desk had said it would be fine to see her instead, she interrupted me to tell me it didn’t matter. I should have followed up with the other doctor, calling herself «the quarterback.» The whole time, I was calm, patient, and respectful (though tearfully flabbergasted by her attitude). Her tone was condescending, harsh, and borderline rude. After only 11 minutes in the room with me, she stood up and said she «didn’t have time for this» because she «had other patients to see,» even though by this time the clinic was now closed. As she was leaving the room, she irritatedly suggested I should consider «going on antidepressants» since I was obviously «depressed.» I just cannot believe a medical professional would behave in this way! I’ve seen Dr. Daily 3 or 4 times at this practice before and, though he always rushed through our appointments, he was also always kind, respectful and reasonable. I not sure if I will ever go back here, even to Dr. Daily. What a horrific experience!

I love this place! I have been going for almost 2 years now. I finally found somewhere that I feel like I can get balanced treatment. They use an approach of integrative medicine — where there are MD’s, naturopaths, candida specialist, massage and acupuncture all under one roof. I like their method because sometimes natural is the best way to go. Dr. Gray is great and has built a wonderful practice. Dr. Humiston helped me pin point and correct a few issues that were bringing my health and qualify of life down. I currently see the acupuncturist Scott Fowler regularly who is very helpful and gives relaxing treatments. I highly recommend their services

I had tried everything to feel better. Mayer’s cocktail weekly infusions, homeopathy, acupuncture, vitamins, fish oil, excercise, conventional medicine, and Big Pharma. But NOTHING got rid of my chronic nausea, IBS symptoms, food allergies, severe anxiety and depression, after an acute overhaul with a year’s use of antibiotics, after being taken out by a super bug.
I spent endless hours researching for a miracle and my symptoms pointed me toward candida overgrowth, and then to Dr. Humiston, who fortunately lives in my city!
I tried his kit and made sure to attend appointments so that we could be partners in tracking my progress closely. For the first time in years, I started losing my anxiety. And then my nausea began to be controlled. Then my allergies. My energy returned. My sleep ability returned. I was no longer fainting from overheating and difficulty hydrating.
I owe my life to Dr. Humiston. I recommend anyone who’s grown up with swimming pools, or overused alcohol or antibiotics, are suddenly dealing more and more, with anxiety, migraines, insomnia, depression, skin problems, IBS, and food allergies to do their research on candida. Dr. Humiston’s kit may be the life saving answer you’ve been looking for.

Dr. Blosiu (aka Dr. Corey) is an absolutely amazing chiropractor! I’ve been going for a couple months now and am thrilled with how quickly he’s helped me feel better. There’s always a sense of apprehension when visiting a new Dr., and Dr. Corey made me feel immediately at ease. He took the time to understand why I was there, was (and continues to be) very thorough in explaining the different technologies that he uses, where they came from, and what they do. I can’t say enough how much I appreciate him taking the time to answer questions, share resources, and helping me in finding referrals so I can get my parents similar phenomenal care where they live in the Pacific Northwest. He’s a great person and a great doctor.

REALLY BAD! First visit, Dr. Gray didn’t take any blood samples to «balance» my hormones. She prescribed medicine based on what my symptoms were. I was prescribed medicine in pill form and when I requested it in cream form the office never returned my call. The staff is terrible at communicating, basically they never call you back!!! I left several messages for Dr. Gray’s nurse, no return phone calls, still waiting 3 weeks later. I have decided to find a new doctor! Not worth the waiting!!!

I have been a patient here for a few years and its support staff keeps getting worse!!! I’ve had a need to call the office a couple times this month and been on hold for over an hour each time. I’ve called, stayed on the phone and driven to office and when I walk in the lobby is empty, but I’m still on hold!!! There are a couple good dr’s but not worth it!

I had written a negative review of the CHWB because they were charging a «checkout fee» to swipe a credit/​debit card, which is illegal in California under Civil Code § 1748.1. I am happy to report that they have responded to my complaint and discontinued the fee.
The Center offers a wide variety of services and I have tried quite a few of them with relatively good success. The doctors are all very kind, concerned, and knowledgeable and the staff are extremely accommodating. I would like to especially mention the massage therapist, Carmen. She is amazing and her prices are very reasonable.
I would give them 5 stars if it weren’t for the high markup on the products they sell. I have been able to obtain a number of these products elsewhere at much lower prices.

I did the Candida cleanse with dr. Humiston and followed the diet, I’m in maintenance mode now. I lost 15 lbs and learned a lot about what is nutritious for our health and now I know how to eat and keep my stomach happy, my stomach feeling better and no longer have headaches or hip pain. I can sleep soundly and don’t get so hot as the Candida infection in my intestines is gone. You have to eat smart to keep it away but it’s totally doable and worth it. Organic foods, grass fed tastes much better and it’s cheaper than eating out and getting served unhealthy food anyway. My friends and family saw such a dramatic improvement in my figure, I felt much more energetic and less tired, I can think more clearly now and my digestion is good. Who knew Candida was really hijacking my brain and making my body miserable. Too many antibiotics as a kid, swimming in chlorine, preserved foods, processed foods, fast food, eating sweets all led to Candida to take over. An official diagnosis isn’t really needed when you read through signs and symptoms and see you have most of them and want to cleanse your body naturally with herbs and eating right. No pill or meds from a traditional dr can make you better. Surgery only covers up the problem, is temporary and dangerous and only gives an appearance of health. If you want to get rid of various body issues, bloated abdomen, headaches, insomnia, food cravings, redness in skin, digestion problems, low energy, then this is for you. Candida causes fibromyalgia eventually. I think this diet saved me from my road to diabetes 2 someday. I always craved sweets and had excess fat on my stomach that exercise could not get rid of. Eating healthier and exercising prior yielded weak, slow results. This was fast results and it stuck, I have not gained back the weight. I was losing about a half lb a day. It’s not a crash diet, not fake food like other diets our there making millions. They’re not taking advantage of people selling their cardboard soy filled «diet» food. They guide you in what foods to buy at popular stores. There are supplements to heal your body, individualized to your body needs. And he was conservative with me, I tested negative for many. He was not pushy, I am pleased with my results and hope more can learn of this and benefit from it. Surgery and meds cost thousands, and aren’t real fixes, so a few hundred dollars to get a healthy body and mind is worth it. So what if you need to take a few herbal capsules, they care to prevent you from falling backwards, that’s good to be able to maintain it. I feel great and lost a lot of weight in the process and am really healthy now. I know how to cook for my family now and we’re all looking and feeling good now. (My dad did nuttiest stem and gained it all back, my friend did meta life and gained it all back and felt sick and tired. I’ve done Atkins and gained it all back and more.). The only improvement to mention is if his assistant could return my calls as she says she will. I think they’re just swamped with so much business. Most customers don’t leave reviews, only ones w bad experiences.

I’m sad to see so many bad reviews for this clinic although most of them are for other doctors and staff… My experience was exceptional and I go to lots of doctors, this was for my husbands hormones and ADHD… and she heard every word we said and understood us clearly, more than I can say from our HMO through Sharp and we pay $ 11,000 yes eleven thousand dollars a year for medical care, that got us no where, so we decided to pay cash and find someone who would help us… after being married for twenty five years we needed to fight through this issue together and stay married… Please don’t just jump to conclusions the first time you have a bad experience somewhere, life is so much more than one bad experience or two, but I do understand the frustration…

Terrible. The staff here cannot get my referral to my insurance company! It’s been almost a month and my insurance has not received anything. At first, I called this office routinely to follow up on my referral and was reassured it was already sent but would be sent in again just to make sure. They blame my insurance’s system for being slow and outdated, funny– never have had an issue with referrals from other providers. I looked them up on Unilocal (after the fact) and found many negative reviews regarding their follow-​up and referral process. I obviously sought care elsewhere because I cannot wait until this office gets their S*** together in order to continue seeking care. I wanted to give 0 stars.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!

I have been seeing Dr. Daily (Naturopath) for about a year now. He has patiently and doggedly worked to get to the bottom of my numerous health issues. The lab tests he ordered have finally shed light on the illusive underlying causes of my health problems. Overall, my health has improved since seeing him, and I’m grateful.
I recently began seeing Dr. Kuperman (M.D.). His relaxed demeanor helps me to relax as well. He has given me suggestions regarding several areas of study including Esther Gokhale’s work: «Primal Posture», which has been extremely useful. I have received osteopathy treatments from him as well and always feel better after.

I would not recommend this place. The receptionist was rude and very unprofessional! I tried booking an appointment to see Dr. Gray and the receptionist named Javier deliberately hung the phone up on me after I was asking a series of questions. Again, very unprofessional for a Doctors office.

Without a doubt the most disorganized medical office I have ever gone to. Dr. Daily is really great. However, the support staff here puts in referrals incorrectly, does not respond to messages, and loses paperwork. The phrase «one job» comes to mind. For instance, it took them 2 weeks to attempt to correctly file my referral for physical therapy after a car accident — and when they couldn’t figure it out, the PT office that took my insurance ended up filing on their behalf. They have been sitting on another referral since June because they keep putting the incorrect codes on the paperwork, if they use the right form. They keep trying to blame Tricare — but honestly, if you accept my insurance, you should know how to bill it. Every time I call I am assured that Dr. Gray or a staff member will call me back, and they don’t. Forget about it if you call and «Zee» answers the phone — she is incredibly rude.
I will be taking my medical records from here next week and searching for another physician — the headache of dealing with the administrative black hole of this office is not worth it. I got better medical care when I was on active duty.

Went to this location many times and were not able to help. Kept giving medicine that was completely ineffective until finally referring me elsewhere. Beware of Dr. Kuperman!

After not going to the doctor for years because I couldn’t find the type of doctor/​practice I wanted, I had been searching for a place like this. A natural-​care based practice that seeks to identify and treat the root cause of the problem rather than pill-​pushing to treat symptoms. I have been going for over 3 years now, I’ve seen probably half of the specialists, and have never been disappointed. They give quality care and try to give you the most natural path possible via which to heal. They really have a whole mind-​body approach and truly care about the outcomes.

I started coming here when I moved to SD six years ago and loved it. At the time, I had great success with Dr. Emily and Dr. Gray and really felt like I found people who truly care about health. As of late, while I always try to give this place another last chance, I always leave more frustrated and slightly poorer.
Fast forward to 2015 — I cringe when I think about how much money I have wasted here. I just came here two weeks ago for what I felt was strep. I had it last year so I’m familiar with how it feels. I saw Dr. Gray who I used to love but as of late, I really feel like she and the office just try to upsell you on products you don’t need as opposed to actually help the issue at hand. I asked for a strep test and then we got into a discussion about my other longer term health issues. She actually did provide a helpful tip in telling me to try claritin for my EoE and also a gastro reference. If I could separate my ratings for Dr. Gray vs. the center, I would give her a 3 to 4 stars. HOWEVER, what she did wrong is my strep test and that is what I’m so frustrated about. For starters, she could have done a quick test so I could have the results there and then. But nope. It got sent to a lab where I will now have to PAY out of pocket. A doctor in her own office should be smarter than that. Also, it’s near impossible to get your paperwork. They lost mine because it was misfiled under the wrong name. And when you do want to have them faxed, you have to call numerous times just to get an answer.
Years ago, when I was my sickest after the gastro said I had gastropariesis, I saw the new nutritionist (name escapes me) who ordered very pricey allergy tests and when they came back said, «egg is inconclusive, it’s not positive/it’s not negative… so just stay away from egg». Uh… OK, I paid $ 300 for that? She then also had me switch to coconut milk which made me worse because of the preservatives (guar gum and carageenan).
Also, I’m not sure why she hitches her wagon to Humiston who basically wants to sell you a $ 300 candida kit without doing lab tests. I went two years ago when I tore my ligament to get a referral for PT. It was basically like pulling teeth to get the referral AND he tried selling me his candida diet for my EoE. Yes, I could potentially have it but there are lab tests for that… my grandmother has had them, and there is another doctor I just met with this week who noted the same. I used to live in Mission Hills near the nursery and everytime I saw her buying plants I just thought… there goes my dollars. Sigh.
It’s a shame because I really like the nurse — Barbara (?) and I love how it feels like a natural, holistic health center but it really seems to just be a waste of time and money with no real diagnosis and just appointments that pitch additional appointments to get you in the door and have you spend more money.

I went to the Center for Health & Wellbeing to help me determine how my body reacts to food on a cellar level since I have Interstitial Cystitis (IC) also know as painful bladder syndrome.
I was VERY disappointed and offended by Dr. David Daily!!! We were going over my medical history and medication, then he ask if I was on antidepressant because of my IC.
I told him no then he proceed to tell me most IC patents are on antidepressants. I felt very offended he would even ask or assume I was on antidepressants even after I told him all the meds I was on and listed them on the sheet.
I felt he wasn’t listening he just wanted to give me his opinion. He proceeds to tell me his colleague at Alvarado Hospital believe Urologist have it all wrong and that IC is caused from hormones and testosterone. I asked if his colleague has done any studies… no answer. Then I ask Dr. Daily why do young children get diagnosed with IC… no answer.
It’s very clear Dr. Daily didn’t know what he is talking about since he or his colleague haven’t done any studies on Interstitial Cystitis. IC is a serious chronic disease that can be VERY painful! People have committed suicide due to the pain and having doctors like Dr. Daily is the reason IC has been misdiagnosed and treated!

Dr. Gray is a wonderful, kind, and understanding. I am so thankful that I have her as my doctor.
She is great with hormone therapy and I see her for everything else.
