History

Established in 2010.

Landscape Architect Shamli Tarbell earned her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon in 1997. She has worked on a variety of landscape architectural projects ranging from residential to larger scale public parks for the past 15 years.

Celadon was recommended to us and we couldn’t be happier with the results! Transformation of our all grass yard into a Southwestern landscape using drought resistant plants accomplished everything we had hoped for. From the first meeting to providing a comprehensive list of plants to choose from that would work in our microclimate to reviewing the completed drawings, Shamli was great. Her concept and design skills combined with our preliminary ideas resulted in something we’ll be happy with for years!!! I highly recommend Shamli for professional and thoughtful landscape design services!

Absolutely the best thing we did was to contact Celadon. When Shamli came to look at our lawn, my wife and I had a vague idea of what we wanted our backyard to look like without the grass. Shamli looked at our yard and listened to our ideas of things of what we liked and what we didn’t. When she sent us her landscape design, we literally «saw» the dream we had been unable to articulate. Wow, it was so much better than anything we had sketched before her visit.
Now the yard is finished, and we absolutely enjoy being outside. We will forever sing praises to her work. Shamli is compassionate, a wise listener, and superb designer who made our dream come true.

After purchasing my home I found the weather to be too wonderful to spend all of my time in the house. The only problem is that the 3500 sq ft yard was in ruins. I began my search for a landscape arch I tect that could turn this space into an outdoor oasis. After contacting several landscape designers I was steered towards Shamli. The initial meeting went wonderful and all of my thoughts translated easily with her. Within a week she had started in on this project and was able to provide me with a conceptual plan shortly after that was leaps and bounds better than I had imagined. She was able to integrate all of the outdoor amenities I requested as well as adding some of her ideas that went together perfectly with the theme I was going for. I am amazed by her work and am very much looking forward to breaking ground on this project. If you are looking for an honest, skilled, personal, and project-​driven landscape architect, then Shamli is perfect for you!

My wife and I met with Shamli once with some pictures of our vacant rectangular backyard. In a very short time, after asking us a few questions, Shamli did what I expect an architect and designer to do. She designed a free-​flowing, functional and drought-​resistant yard which fit our needs. We built the project just as she designed it and are grateful for having met such a professional designer on our first attempt at designing a yard. Kudos, Shamli!
