I got the interview! I need a resume FAST. I mean in less than 24 hours. Norm was the only one I could find that said he could do it. And he did. He delivered a great new, polished resume right on time. I called him on the afternoon, we set up an appt. to meet the next morning. He interviewed me with some very important questions and really dug to get my achievements out of me. This is exactly what I needed. I find it difficult to talk myself up, and tend to under sell myself. He helped me word things in a way that are true, but sound so much stronger. I would definitely recommend Norm.

I found myself needing a new resume, so I called ⁵⁄₆ numbers off Google and decided to go with Norm. I think I met him the next day. I went into his office and started talking business. He started asking me a lot of pertinent questions which in turn made me start thinking differently about what it was that I actually wanted. So we finished up and, on a Tuesday, said he’d have it done Friday, emailed it to me Thursday before 3, as someone who was constantly under pressure to meet deadlines, you have no idea how much I appreciated this. I was very happy with how my resume looked and the words he used to «frame» my experience. Cut to three weeks later, and after going on 7 interviews, realized I needed to be going after a different class of employment. This had nothing to do with my resume. So I called Norm and asked him if we could do some tweaking, he said absolutely, when can you get in here. I was there in an hour, and we spent ²⁰⁄₃₀ minutes talking about other skills I wanted on my resume that I didn’t think about on our initial meeting. Got it back, loved it, ready to get back out there and hit the pavement. Very professional, on time, can’t stress that enough because MANY people are never on time especially early, and had no problem helping me with changes weeks after. Those are two very big things in my opinion that are lacking from a lot of business’ these days.

I am so sorry I did not check Unilocal and Google before hiring this guy. I needed something quickly and he said he could do it. He had me pay before going into a meeting. When I got home and opened the resume I was horrified to see he only changes a few sentences — But worse yet –the few sentences were poorly written.
$ 100 flushed down the toilet.

I am really glad that I chose Career Finders to do my resume. My experience with this company and its owner, Norman Cohn was very positive and I feel that the resume he created for me was well worth the money. Personally, I am wary of the countless online resume-​writing business ads promising to deliver a «quality» resume to me within 24 hours without any personal contact. Norman actually took time to get to know me during our scheduled appointment at his office and he asked me a lot of questions about my professional background in order to showcase my job skils and work experience in the best possible way to the hiring companies. Answering his questions made me realize I had a lot more to offer to the prospective employers than I ever thought I did and gave me more confidence in myself and my abilities, which I was lacking in my past job interviews. Norman also provided me with many helpful interview tips and even quite a few insights into the industries I was keenly interested in that he had received from numerous satisfied clients over the course of his 25 years in business. I felt that he genuinely cared about my career needs rather than just trying to get me in and out, and onto the next client, and that his professional advice would definitely steer me in the right direction to make me more successful in my job search. As a matter of fact, with my new expertly written and great looking resume, I got called to interview for several desirable positions almost right away after I applied, whereas before when I had used my old outdated resume, I didn’t get anywhere. I wish I have checked Unilocal before going to this GUY… I needed a resume to give me the advantage from my fellow coworkers and searched for help from a professional that understood my position. I called Norman Cohn and we set an appointment. We talked and about my job position and how important I needed this resume to give me the advantage in the business transformation. I even helped him out with the Job Requirements posting. I couldn’t wait to see the final results and when I did… the RESUME was a JOKE. The way he described my position at the moment along with the Military service in the MARINES was a Joke. I work in the Electricity Industry with prior Military service and the way he described my jobs was a JOKE. He charged me $ 225 for a resume that was WRITTEN VERY… VERY… POORLY… We talked about the importance of this resume and he (NORMAN COHN) did not care. I think the only thing in his mind was the money. I called him right away after I reading my resume and how disappointed I was with the results and said he would fix it in 15min. WHAT… We know fixing and entire paper does not just take 15min. The outcomes were so disappointing that I have rather not continued with him to save me from disappointments. This resume was supposed to give me that extra leverage and failed miserably. He will persuade you in writing you the best resume but I’m not a teenager going into my first job. I have a career that I want to continue and it did not matter to NORM COHN (CAREER FINDERS, INC.) he put me and my family in jeopardy with his work. To him he did the best job and will refuse to give you a REFUND… So… If I could get your help in posting this in all Southern California and keep people from going to NORM COHN (CAREER FINDERS, INC) then I did my job. He could keep my $ 225 and I hope it last forever… Go with someone that really cares about you and your career. I do not want other people falling into his trap and take your money you have earned really hard. A resume represents you and not just some regular JOE from the streets. BEWARE… Go with someone else and NOT NORM COHN (CAREER FINDERS, INC.) I will report him to BBB and with this posting on Unilocal.I hope this helps and Good luck in your Search

I have to agree with all the reviews posted. I wish I had checked Unilocal before going to that scam. Norm claims to be the best resume writer in town; however, the product I received was the worst resume I have seen. He literally took the resume I provided change few sentences and gave it back to me. I was so upset when I received the final product. I requested for the resume to be revised and he sent me the same resume with more errors. I hope people get to read these reviews before going to Career Finders; I lost my money and my time. I should had seeing the red flags.

I wish I read both your reviews before using this place. Exactly like you said I sent him all my documentation n he used none of it and spelt my name WRONG! How do you turn in what he claims to be a finished product and have gaping grammatical errors like my name being spelled wrong. He basically took my words from the rough draft and put it into an out-​dated resume. I already reported him to the BBB and felt the need to post a warning on Unilocal as well.

If I could give this place less than a star I’d gladly do it.
My experience with this «business» has got to be the worst of all bad experiences.
If you look on the website, this business is supposedly operating for 25 years. In my mind, after such a long time, you’d expect to see exactly how the longevity and success of this business manifest: in this case it’s a one person deal, extremely outdated office equipment and no card payment setup, therefore only accepting cash or checks.
Unfortunately, I didn’t pick up on all these red flags as I was so eager about getting my job search started, I proceeded to ask this «expert» to rewrite my resume.
After receiving the new version, I had a few friends and coworkers of friends that are either still active or have at some point worked as recruiters, review my new resume. The reaction I got for it was beyond disappointing. A few actually thought I was joking. Sadly enough, I wasn’t and $ 200 later, I was ready to burst into tears with embarrassment. I contacted Norm to tell him about the general reaction, asking for a refund, he replied the following:
«Whether the problem is a bad repair job at service station, a bad meal at a restaurant, or a visit to the doctor that doesn’t fix the problem, standard procedure is to return and say fix it. Same with a resume — tell me what you don’t like and I’ll fix it»
Seriously, if your doctor does a bad job you go BACK and hope he’ll get it right the second time? Well Norm refused to act like a professional and refund my fee and is to this day, standing behind his «second try» approach.
I know my money is gone, but if this helps at least one person to avoid this guy and his services, I will sleep better at night.
