History

Established in 2015.

Alana started her creative career while working at a flower shop, which was owned by her mother for over 30 years. Inspired at a young age she learned that beauty and design can brighten anyone’s day, no matter the occasion.

Alana worked as Senior Event Designer and Consultant at the prestigious Abbey Catering and Event Design. After graduating San Diego State University, Alana continued with her career in the event design industry for over 8 years. She soon rose to manage an impressive, reputable, and well known venue in La Jolla, CA.

Looking for new challenges, and with her commitment to the event design industry, she decided to venture out on her own and created «Candy Love» Dessert Bars and Candy Buffets.

Alana Love has an eye for design, and a taste for the delicious, so whether you need help with desserts, catering, venues, rentals, flowers, or event décor, Alana would love to help you!

Called in to know of different package deals and the owner, Alana, was very rude and unorganized. I only had a few minutes to talk but Alana insisted on chatting and would not respect the time I had to talk to her. Once I have her a call back at a better time, she was extremely rude and noticeably upset at our previous conversation and very unprofessional. Not only was she having a separate conversation with others in the background but also brief with her responses and even cursed at some point! I refuse to do my business with this company if it will be unpleasant and forced.

We had such a fun evening! We had planned to decorate cupcakes and gorge ourselves on candy and martinis. The cupcakes weren’t possible so we painted little canvases instead and we happy we did. We have a fun and lasting token of our evening at Candy Love! Go check this place out! It’s sweet fun!

Candy Love is GREAT and so unique! I recently had a Candy Arrangement delivered to my house from a good friend of mine for my Birthday. Very impressed. They were very detailed; from my favorite colors to my favorite candy and a large variety of every other candy you can think of. It even had cookies in it. It lasted my family and I for over a week and again, we could not get over all the details.
That being said I looked up Candy Love’s website and noticed that the owner, Alana, offers classes. I was intrigued and interested. My nieces and nephews were coming in town for Thanksgiving and some additional family time, so I figured this would be great for the entire family.
I called Candy Love and scheduled a class for all 5 of us, which was very easy to do.
I called, and she needed some information to hold our spots in the class. And again, WOW! There weren’t too many people, which made it nice, however, everyone there was extremely nice. The kids played and painted Piggy Banks, which I thought was a cool idea. And the adults enjoyed these great Candy Martini’s and we decorated cupcakes; the kids obviously joined in for that part ;)
Alana had a fresh popcorn machine going along with other fruits and snacks. And she had her cool arrangements for sale, and I purchased one for my mom.
We all had such a great time!!! I highly recommend Candy Love, for either a cool arrangement or a fun class. Again, it was great fun for the entire family and we even got to wrap our cupcakes we designed and bring them home. Thanks Candy Love and see you again soon!!!

Wow, was I impressed by Candy Love. My sons Birthday falls right around Halloween so I wanted to send him something extra special to his school, for both Halloween and his Birthday. Candy Love was so easy to work with. I ordered the day before and went and picked it up and dropped it off at my sons school. He was so happy and the bucket was filled with lots of cookies and candy for him to share with his friends at school. When he came home, I felt like Mom of the year! Thanks Candy Love!

What an wonderful and great first experience I had with Alana. I love her Candy Love Basket that she made for me. She put exactly what I wanted inside the basket and it was nice and colorful. Alana also had it on time when I came to pick it up no wait time at all. I will Definitely give her place of business all five stars and I also will recommend her business to other people.

What an awesome place and idea! My brother and I went to Alana and we were able to design our own candy bouquets. They are really pretty, fun, and make a beautiful gift to anyone for any occasion! I would definitely recommend paying her a visit down in San Diego. You will not be disappointed! Definitely a five star worthy place.

Alana is amazing! She did a beautiful candy buffet for my birthday party a few weeks ago and it was a HUGE hit! Everyone loved it and could not stop talking about how cute it was! It was definitely the center of attention!

easy to work with and completely open to ideas and plans. I used her to surprise my girlfriend for her baby shower. Alana was on time, on point, and beyond creative. She was organized and excited to help me with my ideas. I could not have asked for a better experience. Everything was perfect. She even made me feel like I was just hanging out and planning stuff with a friend, which made me completely comfortable. I would refer her to all of my friends. After having an amazing work candy party as a reward for finishing last month strong in sales was the perfect way to reward my staff, and their sweet tooth!!! The visit to her office, in Kearny Mesa, to get everything set up was quick and efficient, just the way I like them!!! But was also very comforting and inviting if you wanted to make more of a day out of it and Im sure try and sample a vast variety of her candy options! Everyone throughout my entire company completely enjoyed the wide variety of options and were even more stoked to take some home with them from what little was left over!!! Alana from Candy Love was referred to me from a friend and Ive always been a fan of trying new things and creative new ideas, so I would recommend her and this company for any new event that may be on the horizon for your work or at home because she truly went above and beyond with the huge amount of candy options, as well as cupcakes and cake pops??? I heard really cool things about Candy Love from a friend of mine. It was my girl-​friends Birthday and my friend suggested I do something different beside typical flowers. My girl-​friend is also a candy freak, so I decided to call Candy Love. I spoke with a lady named Alana and she was very helpful. She gave me so many options, different sizes, and discussed a wide variety of candy. She also gave me the option to have it delivered or picked up, I chose to pick it up. Her office is bright and very colorful. I had already mentioned to her that my girl-​friend loves candy bars (all kinds) so when I arrived at her office she had several sample candy arrangements for me to look at. All different sizes, colors, and variety. Alana really took her time and made something so cool and different. And the best part was my girl-​friend was so happy and thought it was so cool that I got her something so unique and special.

Alana love was so easy to work with for a candy/​dessert bar. We had a choice of either meeting at her office or her coming down to the venue. We had her come to the venue so she understood the feel of the place and how our vision was.
We spoke to a couple candy vendors before her but she seemed the most enthusiastic so we decided to give her a chance even though she had no prior Unilocal reviews. Her work was amazing! Candy love prices were probably the most competitive in San Diego. Cake pops were only 2.50 each! I totally recommend her for your next event that you need a dessert/​candy station and want someone who is very artistic and has lots of ideas!
She also makes the cutest candy arrangements that she can deliver to that special someone instead of sending the usual flower bouquet.
