Busy Bees Locks & Keys Locksmith

Just moved and needed a lock rekeyed– been super busy and get procrastinating until today. Messaged on Unilocal and had a response in 3 minutes and a locksmith in a couple of hours. Fast and helpful service and the Unilocal coupon helped too!

I called and the phone rang for awhile. I decided to hang up and call other locksmiths. Within 3 minutes though, I got a call back! I was so relieved because none of the other locksmiths I called were helpful nor did they have reasonable prices.

Such nice and helpful people! They’ve saved my life several times! Fast and reliable service and honest staff!

I live in Georgia and discovered Busy Bees Locks and Keys on the internet. I have a 2006 Honda and the black casing for each key was simply falling apart, held together by glue and duct tape. The quotes through Honda for two new keys was simply outrageous in price. For $ 70.60 Busy Bees reshelled the first key. The customer service was easy and flawless. The quality of the key is excellent and all remote features work great! The process was so easy and affordable, I sent them my second key to be reshelled and the customer service was once again flawless. Thank you! I highly recommend the folks at Busy Bees for reshelling of Honda keys. I read on their website they reshelling many makes of automobiles too.

Called in today to see if they could make a key for my Nisssa Altima Hybrid, since I lost the key and they told me it would be $ 295.00! That highway robbery! This place has great reviews, but there way too expensive! Ridiculous! I called the dealer and it was half the price this company wanted to charge me! Dealer it is! Never again!

Came here to get some duplicates and they attended my needs right away. I was in and out within minutes. These guys are fast and reliable.

I received a quick service for an affordable price. The only thing that kind of bugged me is that they sold me a used remote for the same price that the dealership was selling the new remote. When I got the quote over the phone I thought it was for a new remote which seemed fair since it was the same as the dealers price. They were very friendly and got the remote programmed quickly. I just think it would have been nice if they would have told me it was a used remote over the phone. The remote worked great, but it had its fair share of scratches.

I had mopped the bathroom and didn’t want the kids to slip on the wet floor so I instructed them to stay out of the bathroom and close the door. The kids LOCKED the bathroom door in addition to closing it. My husband was out of town so I tried the card, knife, and other kitchen tools and no success. I called around for pricing and this place quoted me $ 85 and service with in 30 minutes. I asked if they had AAA discount and they shared the Unilocal special with me and I signed up for Unilocal and bought that special.
The technician arrived and I told him I didnt want this to happen again and if he can just take the door handle off altogether. He surprised me and he deactivated the locking mechanism so we still have a knob and no matter how the kids turn the lock– it will never truly lock. I was very pleased. I wish I could remember his name but he had facial hair and was in his 20s I’d say.

So I moved in to a new place and have locked myself out twice so far! The first time I had no idea who to call or what to expect but I definitely recommend this business.
They were fast, nice, and quick to open the door.
Not to mention that the price is way better than the first place I tried. Just be sure to ask before how much it will be to not get a punch in the gut once you see how much it will cost.
I’ve definitely learned my lesson though and will keep them bookmarked in case of anything lol.

The BEST in the business. I am a Realtor and try to fix as many of the «little things» as I can. I had a PITA door lock situation and did not have the right tools with me.
Judgement call: do I drive back to Carlsbad to get my tools in rush hour traffic AND BACK (minimum 2 hours… Minimum) or call a professional and pay the fees… I wanted a cold beer and to GTFO there ASAP so I relied on Unilocal for the closest business that was high rated… And my fellow Unilocalers came through, once again.
I called at 4:15, the dispatcher said they could have a tech there at 5. Sean called me at 4:50, on sight ready to rock and roll.
Sean came in, handled business, and was a rockstar. 15 – 20 minutes TOTAL and he fixed a pain in the *** lock that I had lost my temper with twice! This wasn’t a standard lock change. The cylinder was frozen and it was one of those PITA no screws showing door knob that the pin release was frozen… I was at wits end…
Dremel in hand Sean handled it like a true professional. He fixed a mess I created, had a great attitude the whole time, and ONLY charged my $ 90 including their $ 55 service fee.
I have never sold a house that did not require a locksmith in some way shape or form. I will give 100% of my business to these guys because they are legit, fair pricing, and as professional as you can get. Even on a hot and miserable Friday Afternoon in rush hour traffic. They show up on time and get the job done for a very very reasonable price.

Tim called ahead and showed up on time (early actually) for our appointment and made a new key for my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 in less than 45 minutes. I expected it to take longer… When it comes to locksmiths, being reasonable, prompt, and professional is the most important thing and Busy Bees did that.
Tim also let me run out to pick up my fiancée while he was working, which very convienient for us, but a risk for him as he might get stuck waiting around for us, but we made it back just as he was finishing up. He also let me goof around trying to get my Unilocal discount (I hadn’t realized I had to buy it from Unilocal ahead of time) when it came time to pay up. Overall a great experience thanks to Tim!

Tried them out based on Unilocal reviews and I wasn’t disappointed. I was able to get a rough quote and make an appointment by email (after hours even) which was much appreciated. I just had a simple job of rekeying a new lock.
Day of the appointment, they showed up right on time in a logo’ed car. They were not able to rekey my lock on the spot because it was a special one, so they took it with them and came back about 1.5hrs later, popped it in, tested, good to go. Used my Unilocal deal for $ 25 off, paid by check, and they emailed me my receipt on the spot. Easy to deal with, friendly, would use again.

Third time’s a charm for locking myself out of my condo, right?!! Twice before, it was just the screen door lock but this time, I had THAT key, but not my front door key… UGH!
Busy Bees Locks & Keys on Kettner helped me out here in Coronado both times before, so after this 3^rd time… I owe them a much belated rave review! After calling the main office around 7:20 pm, I received a call from locksmith Sean within 13 min and he arrived just 22 min later… I was a very happy camper!
Sean actually remembered rescuing me the first time around… he recalled that my daughter was with me then and we were running the Hot Chocolate 5k event, 2 whole years ago! His calm & friendly demeanor immediately relieved my stressful situation. After tinkering w/​the deadbolt for a bit, he realized that I didn’t even have the key to lock it in the first place… so that was one lock down. However, the doorknob was a hair stubborn, but once I mentioned that the inner knob locks clockwise, he reversed directions & the lock immediately popped open!
It took less than 15 minutes from start to finish and would’ve probably been quicker had I remembered that I couldn’t have locked the deadbolt w/​out the key I left inside. Thank you, Sean for saving me TWICE already! If you want fast, efficient locksmith service at a reasonable price, 24÷7… then Busy Bees Locks & Keys in Little Italy is definitely the place to call !

These guys completely suck. I asked them for their estimates on creating a backup car key and everything sounding good with a good price of $ 80, so I bought a spare car key blank online and wanted them to file and program the key. A week later after getting the blank key, I call them to make an appointment and they give me a price that was $ 60 higher than the original estimate so good thing I had an email trail with them telling me the original estimate.
Ok, whatever, so getting there, they took the blank and started filing the key and after the fact told me it wasn’t the right length and that it wasn’t their problem. Lucky enough, I was able to exchange the already filed key with the seller. I decided to give them one last chance since they had such great reviews and the price was decent.
Contacting them and setting up another appointment, the technician seemed amateur and I was even giving him tips on how to proceed when we encountered road blocks on creating the key. At the end, they could only file and program the key to start the engine, but couldn’t program the remote portion so I now have a half-​assed working key.
RIP OFF!!!
EDIT: In response to the message below, yes, that message is from June 13^th after I already had the key and could no longer return it. Going back to when I let it be known I was looking for a key (on May 30^th) and would plan on ordering the key online, there was NO MENTION you may not be able to program the remote portion, only to make sure it was unlocked.
I was told that it may not program AFTER I already had the key and was setting up the appointment. At that point, I couldn’t even return the key. I’m sure if I had known upfront you couldn’t create a full backup, I wouldn’t have even ordered the key, but would have gone to the dealer.
Also, is it normal practice to not check if it’s the correct key size before cutting it? If I had to return the key, I would have been out of luck due to the incompetence of the technician. I’m lucky the seller was nice enough to send a spare shell key as the technician cut the key and afterwards told me it’s not the correct length, but it was now my problem to fix.
At the end, it doesn’t matter. I just chock it up as a loss and will know in the future to order from the dealer.

Once upon a time I stepped out of my front door to get the Sunday newspaper. All of a sudden a strong wind blew and slammed my front door shut. Unbeknownst to me I thought nothing of it until I tried to get it. The automatic lock was set from inside and I was locked out in my pajamas with no cell phone or keys and no other person home but me. Luckily, I spotted a neighbor, called my husband and he called Busy Bees. About 30 minutes later, Busy Bee arrived and they worked on my door for about 15 – 20 minutes and I was able to get in. The service cost me about $ 70.

Used Busy Bee again today. I used them 2 years ago for the first time based on Unilocal reviews. Again, just like last time, they were helpful, professional and provided excellent service. Their customer service should be used as a model for other businesses. They deserve every 5-​star rating they get on here.
Do not hesitate to use these guys. They’re awesome. As a bonus, when you call them, you get to talk to Cindy in their call center who is the epitome of terrific customer service. She seriously rules.
