So disappointed at the San Jose Bubble Run! No staff or signs for the parking lot; it was a zoo! We waited over an hour JUST TO PARK! Saw another car get sideswiped because of the craziness. Then, we waiting another hour just to start the run. Similar to what other Unilocalers have posted, there was not enough staff to help out, water was GROSS, free samples all ran out, rocky dirt track, bubbles were fun but not enough. They had yellow, blue, green, and pink «bogs» along the track and a clear and orange bog at the beginning and end. You can go through the bogs for all of 1.5 seconds before they yell at you to keep moving. The biggest issue I had was the website says there are bubble cannon shooters that spray bubbles throughout the run and THERE WERE NONE! There are plenty of other fun runs out there, this is not one I would recommend.

This review is for the Bubble Run hosted in Ft. Worth, Tx. I couldn’t find another event to comment on, so here goes.
The registration price is decent — $ 20 for admission and a tshirt is fine.
Parking was $ 10 & highly disorganized. We were lucky and found a spot near the entrance bc parking spots weren’t clearly marked.
$ 10 additional fee for picking up registration on the race day felt like a scam. All it took was somebody handing us a tshirt & race number so why the extra cost?
The race waves were horrible. It felt like the event staff didn’t properly plan for the masses to go through bubbles. We waited 30 minutes to even start.
The bubbles were fun but people would just stop in the middle of it all to play which created running hazards.
The path was all rocks and grass and lots of MUD — the worst running path I’ve been on.
We left feeling scammed. Our shoes were soaked in mud, and our phone’s race app calculated the distance to be less than 5k!
Don’t attend this event! It is poorly planned, staffed and disorganized.

This is by far the most disorganized event I have ever attended. The staff was very rude. I would not recommend these events to anyone. You will waste more time waiting to register than the actual race itself. DO NOT WASTE YOU TIME AND MONEY!!!

Went to Pomona bubble run. Only a few bubble stations the rest was hot pavement. Only a few small speakers so couldn’t hear the music throughout the walk. It was really boring. Do not recommend it. As much as they made, u would think they would have had bubbles throughout the whole walk and music speakers throughout the whole thing. Never again!

I attended this event at the pomona fairgrounds on May 2^nd. It is by far the worse event I have ever attended. Firstly, we had to stand in line for over an hour and a half to get the registeration packet and then another 45 minutes at the start of the line. They had over 13 000 people attending and just a handful of workers. It was so hot and there was absolutely no water.
Oh and let’s talk about the bubbles, I can make more bubbles in a bathtub at home.
Next time I have an urge to do this, I will go and spend the morning at the local DMV instead and consider that a better option.
This is a SCAM folks… consider yourself warned!!!

This even needs more bathrooms along the way and more water stations! A little bit all around organization! First this being my second 5k it was fun but overall I think that with these couple improvements it could be better. Great cause though and I was blessed to be apart of it.

This was fun but a bit too hot and crowded for my taste. I went to the one at the Pomona fairgrounds yesterday and knew ahead of time it was going to be in a parking lot. I thought I wouldn’t mind, but given that it was such a hot day, being on asphalt for several hours was seriously uncomfortable. I liked the event itself, but the asphalt thing was not that pleasant.
I also knew ahead of time that 13 thousand people had signed up. Thinking it wouldn’t be a big deal was naïve. The crowd got to me, even though everyone there was civilized. But waiting for our turn to start our run among so many people plus trying to get out of the parking lot later on was kind of torturous.
Aside from the heat and crowd, I had a pretty good time. The best part was the bubbles… they were colorful, lusciously foamy, non-​stinging, non-​slippery,
and felt so cool and soothing in the heat! Even though there were tons of people there, there were plenty of bubbles for everyone which was so awesome. The organizers were not at all stingy with the bubbles. Everyone’s inner kid came right out. Very fun stuff!
The organizers were really on top of things with safety. They kept reminding people to keep moving one way, to not lie in the bubbles, etc. I really appreciated this bc I had kids with me and I didn’t want them to get lost or trampled. With the bubbles being so thick and foamy, it would be very easy to lose sight of your kid. And there were lots and lots of kids at this event.
They had a water station midway through the course and one at the end, and the volunteers were working hard to make sure everyone had water. One girl even offered to fill up my water bottle for me, which I was so grateful for bc I was feeling dehydrated. The water tasted like tap water and wasn’t too great but bc I was so hot I didn’t care. However, I do recommend bringing a good sized water bottle of your own. Never underestimate the amount of water you’ll need especially when you’re in a hot parking lot for several hours.
I did pass a young boy who got injured (cut his leg somehow) and there was a medic who was at his side helping him. I commend the organizers for being so on top of safety.
I’m not sure I would do this event again just because of the crowd and heat. I’m glad I tried it, though, because it was such fun to be covered in those bubbles. And the kids had a blast. Definitely a fantastic event for kids and families.
Oh and at this venue they had several rows of port-​a-​potties, more than enough so that people didn’t have to wait. Thank goodness I didn’t have to use one though (I hate those things!). Overall I thought the event was very well-​organized. Maybe they took a hint from previous reviews?
I have to say, I really liked their registration policy. One of the members of my team got sick before the event and their policies allow you to easily transfer the registration to another person for no additional fee. I’ve done other fun runs before and typically you’re out of luck if someone can’t make it.
The Bubble Run is more flexible and accommodating which I really appreciated.

Almost a scam… sort of like paying to go to Disney land or something but with no rides… this is a giant event run by people who do know how to run a giant event… just like standing in line in a parking lot for 4 hrs… not fun! Zero stars

This was truly an event based around good, clean fun lol. I had so much fun seeing everyone in their crazy costumes running around in bubbles. The funniest part of this event was seeing the small children being pushed through the big pile of bubbles and coming out crying and smothered in foam. Call me mean, but it was hilarious! The run did take a while to actually start because there are soooo many people. We were in the «6^th wave» which was the 6^th group of people to start the race so that took about 20 minutes to get to. I’m just so glad we picked up our packets the day before instead of the day of the race. That line was so long it probably took an hour or two to get through. I would give 5 stars but there were way too many people for my liking (around 16,000), only about 3 port-​o-​potties and 1 restroom so I just had to hold it. So much fun though, I highly recommend!

Did this for the first time with my wife and younger sister. I actually thought it was okay for what it was. Nice walk through 5 areas of bubbles, t-​shirt, headband, and a Monster and energy bar at the finish line. I got there early so there was plenty of parking and the wait for registration wasn’t to long, maybe 10 mins? I’d do this again. As for the people complaining about the location, it clearly said in the email and website that it would be in the parking lot (they even had a screen shot of the race lol) and it also clearly said to bring your own water.

So unorganized event, no parking enough because 4 out of the 5 stations where located in parking lot. Also, it was impossible to run, so crowded.
The only thing out of the whole experience that worth is the bubble fun… Other than that …

This was not worth the registration price or time. Almost the entire race was in the parking lot; back and forth. I’ve done many walks/​runs (10+) and this was the worst; no scenery. They didn’t provide bottled water, just tables full of Dixie cups of water. Gross! People are reaching over cups and other unsanitary practices. They ran out of water before the last couple groups went through the ONLY watering station. WTH?! It was hot out there and that’s all you provide? It tasted horrible. Then you have a young lady telling people to give the water to their children first. Get out of here! Good thing she told us that or we would have selfishly hoarded it for ourselves. The way these young attendants were yelling that the water was out was alarming. Many families had young children so some sensitivity should have been shown due to the audience. The music seemed to be just a handful of songs on repeat. Lame! The free samples ran out really early so there was no reason to go to the finish line, especially since the same music was playing there too. I had high hopes and was so excited so this was a huge disappointment :(I would not do this race again.

Bubbly fun! However set up could use more work; we had to walk from the parking lot area for a long time, there weren’t many people posted to assist either even though there were more than enough people at the event. Communication with overall campus would help too. They also ran out of registration materials.

I was fortunate to enjoy this race, thanks to Ching T for letting people know. This was a great run and great time running 5K on the UC Irvine Campus with happy people and lots of bubbles.
–Fun, informal race, some people walked, not super competitive
–5 Bubble Machines, Yellow, Blue, Red, Green and plain
–Many runners in costumes of various colors, tutu’s, wigs, all kinds of fun stuff
–Quick registration, free shirts, tags, tattoos, headbands
–The music was loud, the crowd was positive and loud, excitement in the air
–I did not see anyone slip and fall, that is a good thing

Crêpe and burger food trucks at the end, I saw some bananas and empty drink bottles
Water cups at two points of the race
Area/​Décor:
Lovely path in UC Irvine, 5 bubble machines along the route
Parking was far, walk to registration was long.
Price:
$ 40 for early registration, $ 50 for late registration
Service:
Volunteers were very friendly
DJ’s were so cool, threw Swag into the audience, had everyone going, having fun
Complaints:
I only have a few complaints. Actually, I am copying the ideas from Ching T:
–Post more signs to the event and to the parking lots
–Put some distance markers (ie: 1 mile, 2 mile)
–Can’t think of anything else
Other:
There is a Trader Joe’s and Peete’s Coffee nearby, just FYI. A Farmer’s Market too.
Summary:
I cannot wait to register for next year’s. I will let my Sisters know, that kids are also allowed and many had fun here. This was a fun, informal and not overly competitive race, would recommend to several people.
