This place is amazing, all the girls that work at this place make me feel happy all the time doing a great job with my eyebrows. It’s a lot cheaper than most places around and I personally had here a better experience than anywhere else in San Diego. It’s been hard for me to find a nice place to have my eyebrows done because wherever I went I ended up having my eyebrows chopped and I hated it. This place offers also a nice deal, for every 6 eyebrows threads you can get a free one.

I have had bad experiences from brow shaping places at other malls and have avoided getting my eyebrows threaded at a mall for a long time. Well I was short on time and had really bushy eyebrows so I caved in. I think you have to be very specific when you sit in that chair. I told the lady I have a spot I don’t need her to touch because I am working on growing it out. She even asked if I wanted her to fill them in when she was done. She did good and I would go back to her. My advice is to be specific about how you want your eyebrows and maybe visit Amy when she is there. I wasn’t disappointed.

Decided to get my eyebrows threaded before a night of going out with some colleagues. Lady who did my brows ripped a chunk of hair out down the middle of my eyebrow, which made my brow look like I had a gap in between it. Nothing some brow pencil can’t fix, but still, it was horrible. Not worth the $ 13 unless you’re desperate for a cleanup.

I have been getting threaded for years. In my opinion, this is one of the worst salons for threading. I had my face threaded around mid-​February. The beautician had only a year of threading experience. Her hand was not smooth at all. Usually threaders with more experience have smooth hands, so you don’t feel each hair being pulled out. With this salon, the beautician was so rough that I felt each hair being pulled out.
A second point is that the customer service is awful. Most threaders will usually tell you what area they are going to thread next, so you have a second or two to just catch your breathe/​wipe your eyes if they are watering etc. The beautician here was not only rough, but rude. She would just thread without giving the customer a second to wipe her eyes, and would not let the customer know what area of the face she is moving on to.
Lastly, the ventilation in this salon is awful. It was so hot the day I went and the A/​C was not on. I could spell body odor.
I found a better salon, «Zia Threading,» at the UTC Mall. That salon is much better, in my opinion, than this one.

Im not happy with my eyebrows. It took her maybe less than 2 minutes… seems like she was rushing. Eyebrows are not arched at all … not clean looking. Very disappointed for the $ 14 I paid. I should have gone to Brows By Dolly in Hillcrest. They do a much better job. This place is a pain to get to. Wouldn’t go again.

Easy since it’s at the mall — however I wish it was better place than on the top floor kinda hard to get to. I’ve enjoyed both times I’ve gone and recommend this place! Nice ppl

I love getting my eyebrows threaded over waxing any and every day! I just moved here from Chicago a bit ago and I wasn’t too impressed with her shape, and surprisingly was more expensive here for a mediocre job. But there is a plus with a rewards program. after so many you get a free! Its very clean and professional, I just wasn’t too impressed with my shape but overall a good place!

I am a regular customer here, mainly because of the convenient downtown location. I’ve had better threading experiences to be sure, but this place gets it done and my eyebrows look good at the end of each session. The lady is very nice. I love the fact that they have a reward program for customers… buy 5 and the 6^th is free! Can use the reward program card at any Brows Shaping Salon location.

I don’t know about their hair removal but their henna SUCKS! I paid 13 dollars for less than 20 letter, followed all the instructions correctly, and then was pissed to find that my henna tattoo was BARELY visible!
I’m never going back.

I had heard about threading and wanted to try it since the wax often leaves red marks on my face for hours.
This place is great — very clean, friendly and professional … Very well priced!
It’s an art for sure and they do it really well — fast, painless and left me with beautifully shaped eyebrows. I highly recommend this place — I am a now a loyal customer!

I have never used threading before, but I was tired of crappy brow wax places. It definately hurt a bit more. The lady said it takes a few times to get used to. Love the results and it was quick. The price is great too!

OK!!! The lady that used to do my eyebrows that was AMAZING, i think no longer works here! i havent seen her in the last 2months
I have been going the past 3 times hoping to see her again, but now there’s this lady and the las 2 times she did such a bad job, my skin is super super irritated on one side and it looks like i cut myself!
I guess I have to look for another place :(

i’ve been getting my eyebrows threaded for a few years now, and there are much, much better places than this one. the woman who worked on me didn’t ask me any questions, just silently went to town on my face, and when she was done, the results were spectacularly mediocre. i’m definitely going elsewhere next time.

I’ve been to this place twice and I absolutely love it! Sometimes there’s a wait, but they’re usually very quick. The threading might take some getting used to, it’s an completely different kind of sensation compared to waxing. The staff is very quick and efficient, tell them how you want your brows to look and they’ll shape them. If you need to run in on break or before an appointment, it really only takes 10 – 15 mins for them to shape your brows versus the 20 or so minutes it would take me to get my brows waxed.
The place is clean which is always a huge plus for me! And also very easy on the wallet. Getting your brows shaped is only $ 13 with the price slightly increasing for other services. They also offer hair removal from the lip, chin, neck, etc. and henna tattoos which is really cool.
The service is great and I’ll definitely continue to come here.

This salon has threading, something that I wanted to try in Atlanta before I moved. Today i had the opportunity. I have my ususal list of pros and cons with this place. It was quick and the results were better than I am used to, and it is cheap — $ 13.00 for the brows. Those of us who spend 25 – 40 bucks on waxing can appreciate this. However, it was also painful (probably not for most, but I am a gian sally) and I felt like I was on display becuase this is done in front of the shop window. In this case, the pros outweigh the cons and I will be back.

its always looks empty, and its impeccably clean. but don’t let that fool you. this is a fabulous place to get your eyebrows threaded without hauling all the way to black mountain road where i do like beauty by dolly too!
i’ve been threading my eyebrows for a while, and i enjoy the precision that you can attain through threading, unlike waxing. this brow place really is great. they have a couple other shops in other malls throughout san diego, but this shop is clean and they do a really good job.
the lady that worked with me was very detailed and exact, and i would definitely make this place a regular spot in my régime. they were polite, kind, and it overall was a really good service. don’t be dissuaded if you aren’t used to threading by this weird technique that they use their mouth and hold thread in it, its a great art form and you will always be pleased after!
