This is a special occasion store for me. I go in and look every couple of weeks but have only rewarded myself with their signature wave pendant. They have many shiny pretty things, but so pricey. They are always kind and let me browse and try a thing or two on.

I got a gorgeous scallop and snail shell pendent set in sterling silver and chain here today. It’s so unique and feminine and lovely and will remind me of my happy place — OB — long after I get back home. So wonderful to bring a piece of the beach back home with me made by a local artist instead of tourist cr@p made in China. This store has so many wonderful unique pieces from sea glass to gems to shells I KNOW I will be back! Thank you Blondstone :)

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with this shop & the shop owner/​jewelry designer. This shop has amazing pieces and great customer service. This is truly a shop that you can walk into and feel right at home. Heidi is an amazing artisan and every piece she creates is a work of art. If you have never been to this shop, I highly recommend it. Then staff is friendly and very helpful always leaving you with a smile on your face!

Awesome shop with beautiful jewelry and stones. My boyfriend went here for valentines day and picked out a beautiful ring with a ruby (my birthstone). I was so impressed and loved it. Unfortunately one night when I was wearing it, the stone fell out and I didnt notice till it was gone! I was so depressed, and looked for it for hours. I went by the shop the next day and told the jeweler what happened. Without hesitation she took the base and ordered me a new one. She even had a couple different sizes sent to the shop so I could decide which one was better. They called me the next day to confirm with me that the order was sent out, and in less than a week they had called me to tell me my ring was ready. AWESOME!!! Great customer service, great attitude, friendly and wonderful communication. A+++++ Only took a star off for having a faulty setting on the ring in the first place. Thank you blondstone!!!

Most negative jewler I’ve ever met in my life. Find a different shop pn Newport ave who’s is more positive. You do not want this womans negative energy hanging around your neck or on your finger.

I wanted to buy a 30″ silver snake chain so I looked it up on the website to see if they had them and how much. They were listed as $ 30 for a 2.5mm chain and that sounded good to me so I walked down to the OB store. In the store the price was $ 51 which is a pretty big difference. The girl in the store informed me that I was probably wrong and I could buy it online if I wanted that price. So I walked out. Checked again when I got home. Sure enough the chain I wanted was $ 30. However the entire interaction was bad service. Eww. Keep your jewelry.

Pretty jewelry, but increasingly overpriced. The prices are not the only reason to avoid Blondestone though. The owner is currently on a mission to destroy the OB Farmers Market, a weekly event that brings the community together, supports local farmers and artists, and brings fresh and healthy food directly to the community. And the owner is using slimy tactics to achieve her goal. Blondestone obviously doesn’t understand what it means to be part of a community, especially the OB community. Please do us a favor and get out of town. Or you could quit this nonsense and lower your prices – you just might make a profit and become a good citizen!

Blondstone Jewelry used to be one of my favorite places to shop. But a couple of things happened in the past couple of years: 1) the prices of the jewelry continued to rise, yet they were selling the same merchandise (for example, my husband bought me a large wave pendant 4 years ago for $ 80, now the same pendant will set you back at least $ 125 2) the owner, Heidi, is being a complete pain in the neck regarding the OB Farmer’s Market, she claims the local artists who sell their stuff at the market are causing her to lose business. Well, I think if her prices were reasonable AND if she did not have two spaces on Newport (one of them has been sitting empty for over a year), she wouldn’t have such big problems.
I usually don’t comment on these types of things, but I LOVE my farmer’s market and don’t want Blondstone to put a damper on one of the things that makes OB so wonderful!

Whenever I want to treat myself, I gather myself and go to Blondstone. Every single piece I have from here I get mad amounts of compliments on. My fave piece from here is a round orange amber with a bee petrified inside it on a silver chain that is made of silver tubes. It’s unique and special to me.
I have also borrowed my friends piece, its one of their signature pieces, is a shell spiral encased in silver. Again, the amount of compliments I get are almost too many to wear if I didn’t love them so much.
I also have the most beautiful blue dichroic glass long and slender piece encased in silver. They have a selection of chains to go with the pieces. Rings, earrings, other items too.
The staff is helpful, especially for someone like me who wants to look at EVERYTHING in the store.
Guys, if you need a gift for your girl for any occasion you won’t go wrong here… interesting and beautiful.

Beautiful stuff… high prices. I covet many things there and have only ponied up for one piece. A large turquoise pendant and chain. It was just under $ 250.
Everything in here is gorgeous. You should hear the compliments I get on my necklace.

OK. You might be thinking, why is a guy doing a review on a jewelry store? And that’s a valid question. But, here it is: the reason I seriously dig this jewelry store is because no matter what I pick out for my wife, I am guaranteed to get lucky that night. It’s like winning the lottery every time I go there looking for a gift!
Most of the jewelry is hand made by the owner. She also features other local artists’ work as well. She uses a lot of silver and semi-​precious stones such as carnelion, turquoise and amber. Very organic designs, but also very modern stuff. This lady is always just ahead of the fashion curve with cool designs.
