My lovely place! A lot of nice dress and shoes! Very good quality!

This is one of my all time fave shopping spots. Most of the things I’ve purchased here became my favorite things to wear, be it blouses, dresses or tights. The deals are awesome!!! A couple bucks for tank tops, they’ve good quality tights and fashion leggings for a dollar… I just absolutely adore this place. So many random goodness.

Wife and daughter found all sorts of attire at this store. They loved the selection of shirts, shorts, dresses and skirts. Great assortment of costume jewelry and accessories. Prices aren’t too bad for a small boutique.

Lack of quality is what you pay got from this store. Today was my first visit and I was unimpressed. Customer service was nonexistent and I was not made to feel welcome. The prices were very appealing but you could tell immediately that the clothing wasn’t great. This store also smelled worse than what I would imagine a baby prostitute to smell like. I held my breath did a quick run through and was actually quite relieved that nothing caught my eye. Poor unfortunate souls…

I absolutely love this place. Every time I come to San Diego I stock up on items from here and get such good deals! I get asked all the time where my clothes are from. Too bad they don’t have a store in nyc or online shop but either way I will keep coming back whenever I am in town.

Not personally my favorite sort of stores but would go back there for basics and recommend CLOSET to people who are looking to find closing on a low budget.

I love this place for cute cheap clothes! You can find anything in here, there’s tons to choose from. You also could easily find a new outfit for under 50 $! I don’t expect this stuff to last forever but, with girls liking to not wear the same thing twice it’s the perfect price for super cute Friday/​Saturday night wear! They also have coats, pjs, shoes and accessories! If you let yourself get out of hand in a shopping spree here you will find it won’t dent your bank account too badly!

This store is amazing. I was terrified about the amount of money I was gonna shovel out for school and this place has better prices than the exchange and Walmart and the quality is better. I like that when my daughter wanted something in the store I said yes and not no because it was to expensive.

I wrote a bad review on The Closet giving them one star but I should understand what I’m getting when walking into this type of store. The policies are made by the owner to not return your money under almost every circumstance. The exchange policy is horrendous so please do not rip off the paper tag attached to the plastic tab or brake any other rule they have in there ect. open ended based refund/​exchange policy. Make sure you are 100% sure you have the right item before you think about buying. Employees at The Closet, please understand that the customers are going to be upset that they cannot return or exchange the clothing with the receipt in hand. that’s the bottom line… Know what to expect. cheap quality, cheap price, and you purchase you buy… then it is the shop for you. The employees have nothing to do with the Owners whack policies. They are just following the rules…

Don’t come in here expecting quality. What you will find is a large selection of basics and fashion clothing that are cheaply made with a price to match.
Should that scare you off? Don’t let it!
I was able to find some values and I am glad I was able to stop in. I got two Maxi dresses (each about $ 7), a pair of yoga pants (under $ 7), some crop tops (really cute and all under $ 5, crop tops are for some reason SUPER expensive other places), and some strapless bras (again about $ 5).
Yes the quality is cheap (I argue in a lot of cases worse than F21 but I think it depends on the item) but most of this stuff you won’t be wearing next year.
All my items say hand wash. That isn’t gonna happen. I will put all these items in the washer and I will do my best to not toss them in the dryer because then I go from asking for trouble to begging for it. If they fall apart I will update.
Also don’t expect your money back on anything you buy. They have a long list of rules on returns so I suggest you act like you are never going to see a dime back. I guess that is the price one pays for the chance to roll the dice on some cute clothing for cheap.
Minus a star because my maxi dresses sorta smelled funny. Wish I would have noticed in the store.

Favorite store ever! The prices are unbelievable and the clothes are soooo cute! I always find something there! I can’t visit San Diego without visiting the Closet. I live in Arizona and it is kinda far to go there but I just found out they have a website:

I’m totally in love with this store.
Most of the clothing stores in Ocean Beach are really expensive, with limited selections, but The Closet has GREAT prices and tons of stuff to choose from.
I don’t like super flashy stuff, so this stuff works perfect for me. I have this really warm, cute black jacket from them that I always wear. I also love their shoes– these really cute grey boots and pink lace-​y flats are in my top favorite footwear stuff.
The best thing there though are their panties. They have all styles, and great deals! their panties are 4 for $ 10 I think, or something like that– soooo cheap (but not poorly made).
I also have earrings, tights, funky pink suspenders, scarves, tight jeans, lace-​y wife beater tops, and a sexy cut off shirt that I really love from them.
The two things I don’t like as much about this store are the fact their tank tops are soooooo long they look kind of awkward (they’re longer than most of my dresses!). I understand I’m kind of small (5′ 3″), but their Smalls are only a teeny bit shorter than their Mediums & Larges.
The other thing is that their staff is kind of distracted, and don’t seem to go out of their way to be helpful.
But anyways, the benefits FAR outweigh the annoyances.

That’s the only word that comes to mind when I think of the closet.
I come here to buy basics for cheap; yoga pants, tank tops, velour sweat suits (didn’t know people still wore those things) in every color of the rainbow. I’ve bought a few pairs of shorts from here but every pair seems to be itchy from the poorly placed tags (which they sew into the shorts so you cant rip them out by the way) or the cheap fabric that feels like it was sewn together by some child slave in a dingy sweatshop.
But I guess I can’t hate too much because I keep coming back and usually don’t leave without buying a thing or two. But I usually just buy basics. I have to really dig deep, like a homeless person in a dumpster to find any outerwear that I really can’t live without. Most of the shirts look really cheap and aren’t form fitting, or cute, at all.
Jewelry is ghetto and mostly plastic. Shoes are uncomfortable and will give you blisters. And the sales associates are not friendly or helpful and spend most of their time chit chatting with each other.
Music is always some really loud and obnoxious top 40’s mixed with bad techno music.
I only shop here because it’s cheap and close to my house, but if I wasn’t so lazy I could drive my happy ass to Forever 21 and get better quality, cuter, clothes, shoes that don’t blister my feet, non-​plastic jewelry, sales associated that at least pretend to be helpful, and still listen to loud, obnoxious music.
But I’m lazy so that rarely happens, it does sometimes though.
And someone please tell me wtf is up with the plethora of masquerade masks they have at the front counter in the glass case. Why do you need to sell that many masks all year round? Creepy. Just creepy.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this store!!! My girlfriends and I were visiting SD for her birthday and we walking around doing some shopping and drinking. When I walked in here I was in heaven!!! The clothes are adorable, cheap and I wish I had hundreds of dollars to blow in here!!! I bought a bunch of lace shirts that are so cute and I haven’t been able to find here in the OC. My only problem was that the sizes run small, but I guess that means I just have to hurry up and lose the rest of my weight so I can fit into them better! I can’t wait to come back here and clean this place out!!!

This place is the mecca of cute clothes shopping on a budget. I dont think anything in the store cost more then 20 bucks. The clothes are way cuter and cheaper then anything Ive ever found at Forever 21. Granted, the quality isn’t great, but seriously, what do you expect when paying 3 bucks for a tank top. Overall the clothes and fashion here are awesomely cheap and I highly recommend this place! I think it maybe San Diegos best kept secret!

Although, I detest shopping… I love getting new clothes. I don’t care if I have a similar style already sitting in my closet, on a hanger with the tags still on them, if I find something I fancy and if its on sale. it will be mine! I think women are lucky because we can get literally a ton of clothing-​lots of different pieces-​for the same price as what a man may pay for a great pair of pants and a nice shirt. I wholeheartedly believe that in some way deep discounted sales is the cosmo’s karmic thank you for all the hell that sometimes comes with being a woman.
The Closet has a great variety of clothing, shoes, jewelry and purses for cheap! Some pieces are better in quality than others. It can be hit of miss so you absolutely must try everything on… Consistency isn’t their strong suit so I’ve tried on several items and the fit has been different with the same items and sizes. I like to call it disposable clothing…
The Closet has clothes that I like to compare to some very recent boyfriends. Great because I can indulge a bit in some pieces that make me feel hot and sexy but not really expecting to keep for a lifetime, but it’ll do for the time being.

Great selection of cheap clothes. Ladies beware: if you have a bum larger than an 8 year old girl, make sure you TRY ON pants/​skirts/​etc. before you buy.
Items are cheaply made but the price is right. Overall a nice addition to OB.

Cheap, easy, fun, disposable.

I really like this store. They have everything you need for your wardrobe in one store — dresses for clubbing, dresses for a casual day, collared shirts for work, shorts/​sweats for working out, jeans, polos, whatever you name it. Of course the quality isn’t great, but for the price you can’t really complain. I tend to get sick of stuff easily, so cheap clothing that lasts a short while works great for me. You can get boybeaters or other basic tanks for like $ 4. I’ve gotten some really cute dresses to wear in Vegas for $ 20-​$ 25.
I got a pair of black stilettos with rhinestone detailing for $ 5 once. They also have plenty of accessories. I have gotten some really cute and even unique earrings for $ 1-​$ 2.
