I was referred to Dr. Chang by a good friend of mine. She really takes her time consulting with you, and gives you her professional recommendation/​s based on what it is you are looking for. The office is clean, she has top of the line equipment, and her staff is beyond nice and accommodating. Some of these people who write such negative reviews, I can’t comprehend anything they are saying to be truth. While Unilocal can be great, I’ve found that It can also be a nasty way for competition to damage business (with the business having no way to remove unjust reviews). All I can say, is you will do yourself a favor by at least going in for a free 15 minute consultation with Dr. Chang to see for yourself how great her practice really is.

Dr. Chang performed my MiraDry treatment on 3÷5÷16. She made sure to answer any questions or concerns i had. I was extremely comfortable throughout the whole treatment. Both her and her husband were extremely pleasant and helpful, i can’t even imagine them being rude or throwing tantrums like the reviews that i have been reading suggested. lol
Clean and calm atmosphere. She definitely has a sense of humor and was in very good spirits. I would definitely return in the future.

Dr. Chang and her staff are fabulous. I have been coming here for almost a year. I recently went for some Botox and lip injections. So happy with the results. I started getting Botox 3 – 4 years ago. I was going somewhere else, I wasn’t happy with the results the last few times I went and I hate change and finding someone new. My friend is a pharm rep and she told me about Dr. Chang and I made an appointment right away. I am so glad my friend recommended her. My Botox results are incredible and my lips are phenomenal… I feel so confident and no one even knows I got them done. I highly recommend this place!

I can’t help but laugh when I read some of these reviews. I have been going to Dr Chang for 6 years. I was referred by one of my patients (I am in the medical industry) I went in for simple Botox of my forehead. I made my financial means clear to Dr Chang. Dr Chang has always provided me with the exact treatment I need and can afford. She has suggested to me many treatments from which she feels I could benefit from, I don’t think I have accepted one. (although today I learned of one that sounds promising and affordable especially since it will be half off from all the points I have earned through the years). My point here is big deal, she educates me on treatments but has never pushed them on me. We have slowly added facial areas as I age… still affordable. (gotta learn to budget people!) She and her staff always start my visits checking my Brilliant Distinction points and figure out the best way for me to get the most units for the best price. I have referred MANY of my friends and even my patients to Dr Chang. All ending up being happy patients. Bottom line is dermatology/​cosmetic procedures are not cheap. They are also not something you go into looking for the cheapest price. You go for the skill they provide. I have been extremely happy with my results and plan to be a patient for a long time to come. Being 41 and having people think you are in your 20 – 30’s is pretty cool. :)
Also, 4 years ago when Dr Chang found out I got re married, she gave me a free facial as a wedding gift. All I paid after an amazing hour long facial was the tip (which was my choice, not a demand).

I have to admit I am one of those people that often disregards really bad reviews, thinking that perhaps those customers are just nut cases or really hard to please. After today, I will reconsider this idea. I was referred to Dr. Chang by a friend for a simple procedure. During the consultation Dr. Chang started talking about a lot of things that I had never heard before regarding the procedure, so I simply just asked a few questions for clarification. Then Dr. Chang literally lost her mind. She stood up from her desk, slammed her papers and files down and stormed out of the room telling me that I had been negative. I wasn’t sure what was going on so I just sat there. A few moments later she stormed back into the room yelling and ordering me out of her office. She was literally running around the office like a wild person. Her staff was so embarrassed (or perhaps scared) that they wouldn’t make eye contact with me when I said goodbye and have a nice day. Its especially amazing how explosive and rude Dr. Chang was given that she knew I was a personal referral from another client of hers. The entire experience was one of he most surreal and weird experiences I have ever had in my life. Reading reviews on here I see that this is not an isolated case.

I have been coming here for years. they have always treated me great. just like part of the family.
treatments are always done very professionally. I just had PDT. she even came in on Saturday. I got next day appointment. and they were right on time.

The woman that runs this place is a nutcase. I went in for a consultation for Venus Viva, and she practically threw me out of her office when I told her I was not interested in getting facials as part of her treatment protocol (which she quoted me $ 1,800 for). Additionally, she told me that Venus Viva is the only skin treatment she offers that delivers results — then why does she still do all those other lasers if they’re a waste of time & money? I ended up getting the treatment at Dr. Sherman’s office in Del Mar for $ 600 with nice results. For someone that’s in the beauty industry, she needs to familiarize herself with the term «bedside manner» because she has none… and she needs to find a good plastic surgeon and get a lower bleph for those heavy eyebags.

She only cares about the money. Rude and inconsiderate. I’ll never go back.

I have gone to Dr. Chang for botox a few times. She does very good work. However, she does try to up-​sell, which in my case I’d rather not experience. Her manner is a bit brusque at times, so it helps to have a somewhat of a thick skin emotionally when you go to see her (no pun intended). But if you just go for her good work, you’ll be fine.

I absolutely love this place. Everyone is extremely knowledgable, friendly, accommodating, and very patient. I have had several treatments here and have always been happy. I feel so comfortable here because the doctor is the one performing all injectables and lasers. She is very honest, very thorough, and is a perfectionist which I really like. I have also had Venus freeze here and I love it. I’ve read previous reviews and I’m a bit shocked. I had a consultation by her first and yes she is very honest but that’s what I came for. I want to know what I need and what is best for me. This office is top notch and I wouldn’t go elsewhere.

Dr. Chang is very knowledgable and very thorough at explanations what you need to be beautiful. The best doctor, cosmetologist I’ve ever met! Very very professional !!!

Money and go else where! I was sent from another spa to Beatitude since my original spot got closed down so they gained all the clients. I was trying to get laser hair removal after I had my baby. But after speaking to them on the phone and how nasty they were to me. Really bad customer service! Never going back! I guess once money goes in their pocket nothing else matters not even honoring that I was still able to get 4 – 5 more sessions! My friend was sent there also and she ain’t going back either for the fact of their bad customer service. So I’m not the only one… Really rude people! Not only that in Unilocal they will send you a 4 page letter of putting your review down! Umm no everyone is entitled to their own opinion!!! Save your money and go else where

I just want to reiterate that I really love this place! =)) the staff is extremely knowledgable, personable, and always furthering their education. If you’re looking for a place that’s open-​minded, cutting-​edge, and will remember you, this is the place! They also always take me on extremely short notice for short appointments!

It’s hard to believe any person who has visited Dr Chang would malign her. I have been treated extensively for sun damage and the facial effects of losing weight for over six months. Professional and accommodating she is very knowledgable and truly cares for her patient. Her whole staff is wonderful, too. I highly recommend Beatitude Aesthetic Medicine Center.

I am really impressed with Beatitude so far. I started laser hair removal procedures right outside of Washington, DC before moving here. Originally I chose this company because they had the same type of laser as the previous place I had been going. I was able to ask and get all of the information I needed through email and was also able to set up my first appointment through email. Super simple.
I went to my first appointment, filled out the necessary forms and spent about 5 minutes waiting in their clean, organized waiting area. After that they took me back and completed a laser session and I paid at the desk after. Was in and out in under 20 minutes. I set up my second appointment, as well.
As I was leaving, Dr. Chang, I believe that was her name, said goodbye to me by name, although she wasn’t the staff member that performed my session and I hadn’t been introduced to her before. She’s obviously paying attention to appointments and new customers even if they aren’t directly her patient.
I was really surprised to receive a handwritten thank you note in the mail the following week. I’ve never experienced a company doing that before! Can’t wait for my second treatment.

Hello my name is Amber and I’m a beauty-​aholic. It’s no secret, all my reviews are about it. I’d like to think I know a couple things about faking youthfulness. I’m sorry but no 36 year old is wrinkle free without the little help of Botox, nice try– we’re on to you.
I’ve been injecting myself religiously for years now. During my tenure, I have learned there’s one thing in life you don’t want to use a groupon for — and that’s injectables. You should spend the money and find a good doctor, PERIOD. Dr. Chang is it. She’s a magician and I’m happy to be a frequent shopper.

I’ve bee meaning to write this review for some time as it’s well deserved. I have been seeing Dr. Chang for almost two years now and am very satisfied. The first procedure I had with her we immediately started having a casual conversation that lasted the whole procedure which is uncommon with most doctor visits these days. I was happy with the results and now treat myself to a facial here monthly from one of the most knowledgable and friendly estheticians I’ve ever been to. I think the one thing that convinced me was when I asked Dr. Chang about this procedure I was sure was a good idea for me and she said it wasn’t but then explained why which made perfect sense afterwards. I appreciate she didn’t just do the procedure because I wanted it and was willing to pay for it. The atmosphere is very inviting and everyone is very friendly. I still come here monthly!

I am surprised by the negative comments listed but wanted to add that I had a very positive experience at Beautitude. Dr Chang is a skilled physician and artist. I felt her approach was direct but professional, and frankly isn’t that what a consultation is supposed to be? I did not feel «compelled» to obtain additional treatments – you cannot blame the provider for giving you information on what he/​she sees as being helpful to you. Whether you can afford it is another question. I appreciated the feedback and information.
The clinic costs are higher relative to other services; however, after receiving treatments I felt very satisfied with the results and do not feel I overpaid. You are paying for the expertise and training of the provider, not just the product. At any rate, I enjoyed her company and her staff are very professional.
Will return… five stars.

I have been a patient for 5 years. The reviews I am reading are hilarious. I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes for anything and Dr. Chang only tells you her suggestions, you don’t have to agree. Her job is to tell you what she feels would best fit you. She also will not overfill someone, so that also may be why a couple customers are angry. There prices aren’t cheap but no place is when working with the machines they have. I enjoy both Dr. Chang and her amazing staff. If you want quality work come here, if you want someone to do a sub-​par job than go to a cheaper place.

Do not come here for fillers! It was a waste of money and Dr. Chang has the professionalism and customer service of swap meet beauty supply owner. After a great experience with a Vitalize peel (the tech has since left) I decided to let Dr. Chang do my Botox and fillers.
I was hesitant because I have always used the same Dr., but she is in Florida. We talked for nearly 15 minutes about the results I was looking for. I wanted to fill my nasolabial folds, fill out the pout in my bottom lip, and smooth a tiny line under one of my eyes.
First, she claimed that I needed a multi-​thousnand dollar tightening treatment instead. Now, I’m 37 and half-​black and really, it is not that serious. I’m just vain. I’ve had them filled before and had great results every time. Then, she insisted that the second best way to address the nasolabial folds was to fill my cheeks instead.
Reluctantly, I agreed she would fill my cheeks to smooth the folds (she promised no Kim K. puffy cheekbones), add a little filler to the folds themselves and the «parenthesis» near the corners of my mouth, smooth the tiny line under my eye, and add a bit of pout to my bottom lip.
The result, a waste of money! She put no product in the parenthesis, none in the little line under my eye, my lip was slightly lopsided (thank goodness Juvederm is pliable at first and I have a high tolerance for pain so I fixed it in the car), and my nasolabial folds, the thing I really wanted to address, look the same.
She handed me the mirror and I said this is not the result I was looking for. That was it. She slipped right into her crazy pants. First, she said I couldn’t get the result (smoothing the nasolabial folds, which is what Juvederm was created for) I was looking for with a filler. Strange, you just agreed to do just that and I’ve had it done before with amazing and subtle results.
Then, she said it wasn’t enough product. I responded, money is not an issue here, I just wanted to achieve the desired and agreed result and was willing to pay for it. To which she responded, «I am not a technician. I am a professional. Maybe you need to find someone that will do what you want.» Hmmm… ok. A professional? Not quite. More like an unprofessional person in a service industry that agreed to do something, and didn’t, who is now acting like I just cussed her mamma. Halfway through her escalating hissy, she opens the door to let me know my time was up and said she didn’t have any more time for me and she would call me later (which she didn’t).
After she had stomped into her office, I waited until the other customer left the waiting area to talk to her husband about what had happened. I told him I thought there must have been a misunderstanding because she was having a meltdown and I had been nothing but polite (apologetic even). Being a service provider myself, I didn’t want to leave unhappy if it was merely some kind of misunderstanding. She came out of her office and escalated the situation by continuing to be foul and unprofessional.
Lord, thank you that I am not the me of 10 years ago and I prefer maintaining control of my composure to going tit for tat with a belligerent swap meet beauty supply operator!!!
After she stomped off again, her husband and I looked at each other baffled and I said, «I suppose that is what Unilocal is for,» and left (without spending the other $ 400+ I had planned to spend on product).

I would give it a two star because Clarissa was great — but it would even be unreasonable to have others read a two star when the place deserves one star.
The bad reviews I read about Dr. Chang and her husband, Scott, were right. They both make it very obvious that they are more interested in the sales side of the business than the medical side. It feels like going to a car dealership.
Dr. Chang wrote down about 8 services I could use and included the cost of each. All of it added to, at least, $ 10,000 I had never gone to any Dr.‘s office and been pressured to spend so much money on spa and laser treatments. The only reason I wasn’t offended was because I could see her motives. Of course, I was asking questions, but every response included two or three services I could use.

Yes, her pricing is less than Dr. Tess, but I have never experienced that type of pressure with Dr. Tess. I think I rather pay more money than put myself through that hassle.
Beware, according to Dr. Chang, everything will be wrong with your face when you show up.
Very unprofessional place — including why they don’t allow you to pay tips on a credit card receipt, so that it would have to be reported in their taxes??? Unreported income???

Went here for an acne consultation.
I couldn’t help feeling like I was on the market for
a used vehicle and the Doctor was about to sell me
one. I have mild acne and was quoted a price I
felt was high.
I cant rate the actual treatment because
i found a Doctor to treat my acne for less but I must admit,
what caused me to shy away was the figures written down
to me and the before and after pictures of patients with
far more acne than I.
Great gentleman at the reception area,
very professional but not really for me after sitting through a
slide show of previous patients and cost.
Not a terrible rating, just my impression after free consultation.
Ample parking and open on weekends.
