Aussie Pet Mobile

We have been using Aussie Pet Mobile for about 11 year now.
The only groomer that I request is LEZLIE. Had another groomer 2 times, while Lezlie was out ill and I regretted it.
I could write this entire review about how awesome the company is and how easy/​simple it is to have our furbaby groomed in our front yard. BUT, the real thing that makes this company amazing is the groomers– and in my experience and for the sake of this review I am speaking about LEZLIE.
You see this gal is someone whom I think my dog would consider his girlfriend! The only words I have to use to my dog is «Lezlie’s coming!» and he gets super crazy excited! Once she arrives, he licks her face to pieces and will do just about anything that she asks. LEZLIE is a special soul. I have gotten the opportunity to get to know her a bit over the last 11 years. I totally trust her with my dog. What I have learned is that she is such an animal person. Always looking out for the best interest of animals, raising awareness and volunteering her extra time to better the lives of animals. This transfers so well into grooming– as she literally treats my dog like I do. This is such an important thing to me, as I certainly wouldn’t allow anyone to treat my dog less than how I treat him, etc. While Lezlie is at our home, I pop out numerous times to check on our pup and give him some love. She doesn’t mind, so long as I don’t bug her or my dog from getting the job done. This is also so fun for my son and oftentimes the neighbors to pop over and see this big horse trailor and truck and my dog getting groomed in it! I can always hear Lezlie talking to our pup so lovingly, even while I am inside the house I can hear her! As a matter of fact all our and our neighbors animals (dogs, goats, pigs, chickens and birds) all hear her talking to our pup while she is grooming him. They all stand around listening to her as if she is Dr. Doolittle! Her love for animals is so evident! And this is by far the most important thing when entrusting someone with your furbaby. Now, of course her grooming skills are great — never had a single grooming issue pop up. Many times I give her free reign and our pup comes back in the house with a mohawk — which he loves and kind of shows it off! :) And remember this is about 20 times that she has come to our house to groom!
My suggestion: 1) request Lezlie. The front office will probably try to talk you into using someone else, but honestly, stand your ground and be patient for Lezlie’s schedule to open up. 2) expect to pay for the mobile service and a tip. You cannot in anyway compare this to dropping your pet off at Petco/​Petsmart for a groom. For our dog that is just about 100lbs. we pay just over $ 100. It’s worth every penny!

Super unprofessional company! I used them for the first time a while back and they charged me one price. I had to complain then about my dogs ears not being cleaned the first time so they sent someone else out. They sent me an email saying my dog was do so I send ok I will try again. I called to schedule the appointment and no one told me the price would then be different than what I payed the first time! The groomer they sent out was uncomfortably uneasy and cursed and yelled and acted rather strange when she gave me my dog back after they told me I had to pay $ 30 more than I thought! It cost $ 90 to groom my Shi tzu for a service that was far from a decent experience. Please do not use their services!

Got an appointment for my pet today I was told between 9 to 11 am, did not get any phone call what’s going on I called at 1115 am and was told Desiree will be at my house before 12, no show still 1215 I called and was told still going to be late I decided to just cancel. They should at least call the customers if they will be late as a courtesy, people are using mobile groomer because time is precious for us we are willing to pay more to get a timely service, very disappointed.

I have used this company for two years now and I am a true believer! I have three dogs, two of who are rescues. One, by the name of Rocky, was rescued and had been abused. He is an eight pound yorkie. He had recurring ear infections that the previous owner never addressed. This has left him completely deaf. Nick came to our house two months ago. He held him, reassured him and said to me that when Ricky is groomed the groomer needs to always keep a hand in him to reassure him. Nick was amazing! Ricky had been at Petco and they called me to pick him up and gave him a report card giving him an F. They did not groom him and said nit to bring him back! Nick was kind, and compassionate and we have had no problems getting Ricky groomed. Chubs our Pekingese has arthritis in his back legs. Nick holds him gently and reassures Chubbs! Chubbs was also a rescue. He had been used for breeding and had been kept in a tight space. He is blind in one eye and sometimes panics! Not with Nick though! Lulu is the only dog we have who is not a rescue! Spoiled but that’s the way it is! Nick us great with her as well. She is fifteen and a yorkie. She is getting moles in her and he is very careful to make sure she is fine! There is no question that this is my only option because I see the love and kindness that they receive from Aussie /​Nick. Do yourself a favor try it at least once! That is all it will take,

Made an apt for our long hair cat to be cut (lion cut they suggested) and given a flea bath. Groomer, seemed a bit unenthused when she arrived. After an hour in van, she returned with our cat, WET… and said she could not blow dry him as he seemed stressed and she did not want to stress him more. I paid for service and even tipped her. :(
As I removed cat from carrier I noticed multiple fleas on his shaved (and I mean SHAVED) body. I proceeded to pick them off and after removing about 15 or so, decided to call the Aussie office to see if this was normal after a flea bath. The receptionist, who took my call said «no» and contacted the groomer to return and do it again. She LIED and told her she had informed me she couldnt do a flea bath as cat was too stressed. I told receptionist she NEVER said that, she just explained why he was wet still because she couldn’t blow dry him.
Receptionist went on to defend groomer’s story and I said «why would I have called to ask if this was normal if i had been told he never got a flea bath?» And «why would I have paid for a flea bath afterward if I had been told she didnt give it?» Also… If Sara had told me, why was I then charged for the Flea bath? Hmmmmm???
I was told I would get a partial refund for not getting the flea bath I paid for. I should have never been charged in the first place. What if I never called?
2 stars instead of 1 because the initial scheduler was polite and fast.
I would not use Aussie again as #1 you need groomers who act like they like their job, even if it is thier 6^th groom of the day and #2 for the misrepresentation of services given.
P. S. what cat isnt stressed by water and a hair dryer???

«Reliable» pet grooming? No. Had an appointment scheduled for two weeks, and I get a less than 24 hour notice of a cancellation. VERY unprofessional. Will take my business elsewhere. Aussie Pet Mobile of El Cajon, no thank you.

Great job. Thanks for coming so quickly! However, I noticed that the area around my second dog’s tail did not get clipped thoroughly. Also noticed his ears weren’t done as thoroughly as the first’s. I had my two mini schnauzers done the same day. Was a bit expensive considering the overall fit and finish of both dogs. Have to admit though, it was nice not having to do it ourselves.

We recently adopted a dog from the Humane Society, and he needed some pretty heavy duty grooming due to mating and tangles all over his body. We called Aussie Pet Mobile, and they sent out Alexis. She was sweet and gentle with our new dog and did a fantastic job bathing and grooming him. We highly recommend Aussie Pet Mobile.

My Golden was groomed back in October… Ask for him to be furminated at this time as well. My son was home as I was at work that day and when I came home my hose was removed from the side of my home and strewed across my driveway. Then I come inside to see my poor Golden’s butchered haircut. He also was absolutely NOT furminated, which I paid for. I really wanted to like this mobile grooming company but sadly they were less then par. Never received any sort of reimbursement for services I paid for but were never rendered. With all of the competitive mobile groomers, I would recommend finding one that takes pride in not only providing stellar grooming services but also exceptional customer service!

Outstanding care from Jessica with Aussie Pet Grooming. Our 8 year old Maine Coon kitty is 14+ lbs. with VERY long black hair. We decided to have Chloe shaved for the warm summer. Jessica suggested a lion cut. She was very gentle with Chloe and seemed to take every precaution to prevent any undue stress to our baby. Chloe now has a cool summer cut thanks to Aussie Mobile Pet Grooming.

Tried Aussie Pet Mobile for the first time today. My pet is a 7 lb Havanese who was in dire need of some attention. I contacted the company on Saturday and they called me back right away and we set an appointment for Sunday between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. I was quoted a price of $ 90 for «the works». On Sunday afternoon, I got a call at 3:59 p.m. by the girl who would be doing the job and she told me she would be a little late as she had to travel to Oceanside from Fallbrook. She arrived around 4:25 p.m. When I answered my door, she introduced herself and then told me she wouldn’t be able to bath my dog because she was having problems with the trailer and there was no hot water. I asked what the cost would be and she said she wasn’t sure, but thought it would be around $ 40 or so. She offered to reschedule or just do the grooming. I decided to go ahead and get the grooming done as my schedule doesn’t allow me a lot of time during the week and my dog really needed the trim. The girl was very pleasant and she did a good job with my little dog. She was very attentive, careful and patient. When she was done with my dog, I asked her what the cost would be and she had to call someone to find out. I was then told the charge would be $ 70 as that is the minimum they charge for coming out. Overall my experience was OK, but not what I expected. The equipment seemed to be in need of service/​repair (no hot water, no tweezers available, scissors appeared to need sharpening), the attendant was late in keeping within the 2 hour time frame, but did call at the last minute and I wasn’t told the actual price until after services were rendered. Seems to me the minimum fee of $ 70 would be posted on their website or at least told to customers during the initial phone call when the price is quoted. Just seemed somewhat unorganized and unprofessionally run.

Today my puppy had her 1^st grooming, excellent experience. The groomer was very nice and attentive to my puppy. He did a great job and my was a trooper. Will definitely recommend to my friends with pets.

My westie was given un unprofessional cut. I’ve never seen a cut so close that her skin showed and the shaved spot on her back wasn’t even. her legs look hacked even if there were matts. My email was unanswered.

Love this company! My 30 pound long haired cat had some stomach issues yesterday, leaving him very dirty and stinky! I called and they had Sara show up within a couple of hours. She did such a great job! I was so impressed! Got a call today asking how my service was. Excellent service, I would highly recommend!

I was very happy with the service I received from Aussie Pet Mobile! They were prompt in all of our communications & appointment times! Sara did a wonderful & efficient job of clipping & grooming my long hair cat. I would definitely use them again!

Called & got my apt for the following day for my two Extremely Furry & Matted Chow-​Chows. Aussie gave me a window of 12 – 2, they showed up at 1:00. And it took about 3 ½ hours, not bad if you seen my chows. I’m just glad my schedule allowed me the time to wait for the tech to finish. The Tech was great with the two dogs and took no breaks between them. Aussie called me the following day to check in & see how it went. I will definitely be calling them again.

Just wanted to write an update since a couple things have happened since my last review. I was contacted by the owner and decided to give Aussie Pet Mobile one more try back in May. I got a new groomer who later told me that she had only been working there for a couple weeks. Not exactly what I want for my pup. After about almost 2 hours (and me becoming worried, but not wanting to distract my pup by going out to see what was going on), she came back to the door almost in tears and with a half done dog. She explained the situation, she was new, etc, and that my dog was just too much for her to handle. My dog is a little 18 pound Maltipoo, and keeping in mind that he has alot of energy, I totally get it. I felt so bad for her that I just wanted to give her a hug because it wasn’t her fault. Maybe just needed a little more training on how to handle animals before throwing her out there by herself. I paid her because I couldn’t bear to see her any more stressed out and cry.
I informed Chuck, the owner, of this a couple weeks ago. Not because I wanted anything from him, but in the hopes that they would provide their newer staff with sufficient training and hopefully avoid the embarassment of the same thing happening again.
Well, yesterday, I received a letter and refund check that was mailed to me. It was totally unnecessary and unexpected. Like I said, the woman that groomed Rambo the last time really just needed a little more experience and training to be able to handle a dog as energetic as mine. I really appreciated the gesture and refund, but the most important thing was that I just felt terrible for the woman and I know that she felt bad and was super embarrassed. My hope was that maybe new groomers will get a little more training and extra time spent with more experienced groomers before taking on such a difficult job. I know it’s not an easy job and I really hope that the woman is still employed as she seemed to truly want to succeed and I know with more time, she would do just fine.
I still probably won’t go back because I now take my pup somewhere else, but I’m updating my post to 3 stars because the customer service and response I received to my review was awesome and I’m sure they do a great job with dogs that are a little mellower.
