A child’s early experiences with academics are pivotal to their long-term success as a student and disposition toward learning in general. Our K-10 Program focuses on nurturing a love for study that transcends the classroom and the expectations of adults. The ALT approach here takes its full form.
In this phase of development the most important part of study is care and attention. ALT meets with teachers, parents, and the student to personalize study approaches. We believe that the key to understanding the material taught in schools is addressing the problem of focus by connecting the student to the lessons and learning study skills and habits that will last a lifetime and are absolutely necessary for higher learning. Rarely do students have trouble with specific concepts, and all too often is the problem in the way the ideas are being taught and approached by the student.
In addition to the standard K-10 Program, Associates of Lyceum Tutoring also tutor to an enrichment program for students needing an extra challenge or an interesting and classical subject.
ALT also specializes in tutoring college classes and higher level classes in specific fields, including but not limited to Latin, German, Hebrew, Aramaic, Philosophy, Psychology, Psychology Statistics, and Formal Logic. ALT tutors for the LSAT, focusing on the Logic Games section.
Associates of Lyceum Tutoring also works with LEAP to take a student through all phases of their education.
