The guy who makes crepes is so awesome! I would recommend the banana Nutella one to anyone! Try to avoid ordering from the new baristas but the seasoned ones always make perfect drinks. I like the dirty chai tea latter for a little perk up!

I spend way too much time here. The food and drinks are really good! The coffees aren’t the best nor are they the worst, but it does the job for all of the sleepy college students. The crepes are really good… the prepackaged yogurt, fruit, sandwiches, wraps, salads, and more are convenient… and beware of the yummy pastries if you don’t want to pack on the pounds(I’m talking to you, chocolate croissant and banana nut muffin). It can get loud during peak hours, but this isn’t the library. The staff is usually pretty nice too! By far my favorite place to get some work done, meet some friends for lunch, or just relax in between classes.

Their espresso drinks don’t stand up to Starbucks, and definitely don’t stand up to the local roasters’ drinks we have available in San Diego; I would not drink one for fun — only for caffeine. Their baristas are friendly.

I just found Aroma’s tucked away on USD’s campus and I am very impressed. I’ve been enrolled at multiple colleges in my life and never have I seen such a great campus coffee shop. I can only really speak to the ambience, size, and regular coffee… but here it is. I found it on Monday and have been back 4 times this week. The coffee is good and cheap — I think 1.65 for a ceramic mug(with free refills — can’t beat that). Lots of tables to spread out and there are always people in here. If you want quiet, this isn’t the place. Music plays in the background, and people are talking — but I love that. It looks like they have a lot of other options like pastries and specialty drinks, but I haven’t tried it. It’s overall a legit spot to meet for a coffee with a friend, a professor, or to chill when on USD’s campus. I am falling more and more in like with this place…

I used to always get a medium, triple, non fat white chocolate mocha until I started to put on a few pounds… hahaha. How’s that for a freshman 15? Nowadays, I just get a triple espresso and put two splendas. It does the job without all the unnecessary calories. I love, love, LOVE their pastries! I LOVE the crumbly stuff on top of their banana nut muffins. The only thing that sucks is when the baristas take your order wrong… like this one time I told them to add an extra shot of espresso into my white chocolate mocha and then they only put one shot. It tasted like milk!!! And then get this… I almost dozed off in my next class. Now I keep it short and simple… a triple espresso.

Good coffee, good times Tucked into the west side of Maher Hall on the ground floor, Aroma’s is the centrally located coffee shop at the University of San Diego. This is a good place to stop by for a coffee, tea, juice, or bite to eat between classes. The small collection of chairs and tables outside the café is the best place to enjoy a drink and the perfect Southern California weather. Sofas, booths, and chairs with adjacent tables make the inside a comfortable place to study or meet friends for a break. The noise levels could certainly become too loud for my liking during the busy times, so I always enjoyed studying in the basement of the main library or first floor of the law library.

Aroma’s is located on campus at the University of San Diego. It is a great little café with similar drinks to Starbuck’s. However, Aroma’s is definitely a better choice over Starbuck’s since they also have unique specialty drinks, good food, and snacks. In addition, there are four computers available for use at Aroma’s, couches, and outdoor seating. Give it a try if you are ever on USD’s campus.

I have spent so many nights here… studying my little head out with only their coffee or tea to keep me company. Their drinks fluctuate from horrible to pretty damn good and everything in between, depending on the person or time during the semester. It sucks when the semester first starts since the student workers are just learning the ropes but they progressively get better. The chatter can be deafening during peak hours and it gets lonely as the day progresses into night. At night, when its nice and quiet is my favorite time to swing by– yay no huge lines! I have consumed way too many calories from the yummy pastries(thus making me a patron of 24 hour fitness). But they also have salads or sandwiches that I like to buy for lunch… and other good things like seaweed salad and brownies! Mmmm their Early Grey latte is also lovely… it keeps me warm during my 3 hour night classes. I just slip away to Aromas, get my tea and make it back to class just in time during my 10 minute break: D During finals, you will find me here with my head buried in books… just ignore my frazzled appearance… I swear I am cuter than that: P
