Arnett’s Water Systems is a family-​owned and operated business established by San Diego native, Erik Arnett.

Erik has been serving the communities of San Diego since 1993. We are licensed by the California State License Board under Lic. # 681 254.

For the first 12 years of our existence, our business survived strictly on customer referrals and included both commercial and residential remodels, new construction, service and repair. In 2005, we made the decision to switch our scope of service to strictly tankless. We felt that it was important that we offer an alternative for consumers to save money on their energy bills as well as using products that are environmentally-​friendly.

With over 21 years experience in the plumbing industry we take PRIDE in our QUALITY workmanship and have the training and expertise to achieve the highest level of customer care, reliable service and consistent quality.

I am very pleased with my tankless water heater. It has helped me save money on my gas and electric utility bill. The installation didn’t take very long, and the closet where it is located has enough room in it that I can store a few items.

We’re very pleased with the Rinnai tankless system that Eric and Tom installed. No problems there. Excellent job. Nice people.
We followed that up with one of the water filtration systems that Eric sells — we were getting hard water build-​up on our fixtures and knew that this was bad for the Rinnai, so we had him come over to make a recommendation for a filter. So far, we haven’t noticed any real difference in water quality with the filter, and there hasn’t been any follow up to see if its actually working. Also, there is some issue with the filter when the water gets turned off at the street. A couple of times, there have been city workers that have done exactly that to replace the meter in front of our house, but we have no idea how/​if this is compromising the filter or what to do about it. There was no manual provided with the filter.
It’s the lack of follow-​up on the filtration system that doesn’t sit right with me, given that we spent $ 2K to have it installed. My wife spoke with Eric once about this but didn’t get any real answers. He claimed that the filter we had installed wasn’t intended to specifically deal with hard water, but that’s precisely why we wanted the filter in the first place.

Our previous tank water heater was 17 years old and had started to leak. By chance I noticed the problem quickly so there was no major damage to the surrounding area in the garage. Erik came the same day and gave his verdict. The old tank was irreparable and explained the advantages of a tankless system. We checked out other options and decided to go with his company.
Erik came the next day, arriving on time, and replaced it in under 2 hours. He was helpful, courteous, and efficient. Great job which has been working fine since it was installed.

My parent’s home needed a new water heater and my brother and I wanted to know more about replacing it with a tankless water system. We had known about tankless systems and that they are supposed to be cost effective over time, but had never sat down with any provider to discuss it. Erik who owns/​runs Arnett’s took the time to explain the technology and provide the cost/​benefit analysis that makes sense. Yes, you pay a little more upfront than for a traditional water heating tank, but the daily efficiency of heating water on demand and not having to replace the system for many years, if ever, makes installing a tankless water heating system a no brainer. Like finding a good and honest mechanic for your car, we found Eric & Arnetts for our water system needs. Erik and his team are prompt and professional and above all honest and straightforward with estimates. Definitely, I recommend Arnetts for your tankless water heater needs.

I have been wanting to replace our conventional water heater to a tankless water heater for a while. Since a friend recommended Arnett’s water systems to us, I felt confident in their services right of the bet. Erik came to our place, answered and explained all our questions regarding the difference and benefits between the conventional water heater and the tankless water heater. A big big shoutout to Erik at Arnett’s Water Systems. My 10 year old noritz tankless started leaking and I contacted local plumbing companies who would say no to noritz or would come and offer replacement with a tank heater. Through Unilocal I reached arnett and Erik responded with a prompt appointment. He looked at the system and in 5 minutes explained whats going on, whats wrong with the previous installation and offered a quote. No nonsense and no sales tactics.
I was most impressed with Erik when he helped me deal with home insurance claims adjuster who was pinning it as a fault on the previous installation so that insurance will not have to pay me. I started a conference call and Erik helped convince the adjuster why his assessment was wrong. When it comes to Noritz, Erik is the expert, no doubt about it. The insurance finally agreed to cover for the expense and offered to send an in network installer to cover all the labor. I declined and paid the labor costs out of pocket to ensure that only Arnett installs the new system.
Its been 4 months since the installation and the system is working perfectly fine. I also received the insurance claim rebate for the heater itself.
I highly recommend Arnett’s Water Systems especially if you are working with a tankless system.

very polite, obviously knew his stuff and did an excellent job servicing and explaining what he did. He flagged a small issue that he is taking back to Erik about the system which I also really appreciated. This could not have gone better today. Well done and Thanks Arnetts!

Last week I took the morning off due to an appointment with Arnett Plbg. 30 minutes past the appointment they still haven’t arrived. So I called the office but was only able to leave a msg. Over an hour passed without anybody calling me, so I called again and was able to speak with Eric throught their «Emergency Line». Note: My plumbing issue is not urgent but I decided to call that line since I didn’t know whether I should continue to wait or go back to work. Since they no-​showed my morning appointment, Eric was willing to come by during the lunch hour. After servicing my water heater he suggested adding a filter.
So 2 days later I called their office to initiate the installation. I called around 4:40pm and the scheduler (Rosalie?) took my cell# and said she’d call me back in the morning. The water heater flush and filter was over $ 600 so I didn’t think twice about not hearing back right away. However, 4 days had past without hearing back from her. So I called and spoke with Carlos. He scheduled me for an 8:30am appointment the following week, so again I took time off from work. To no surprise, he no-​showed.
I don’t doubt that Arnett’s Plumbing is wonderful at what they do. In fact, I told Eric that I selected them over other companies primarily because of their Unilocal reviews. Judging by their many satisfied Unilocal reviewers, I’m sure that they’ll do an excellent job for you if you chose them. However after 3 strikes, especially 2 no-​shows. I cannot justify a 4 or 5 star. So in my opinion, a 3 star is a fair rating.

If you want trustworthy, affordable, efficient installation then look no further than Arnett’s Plumbing. Erik will give you a fair estimate and immediate service with his professional installers. We have had our tankless water heather since 2008 and gave ourselves a Naiad water purification system for Christmas 2014. No more lugging heavy bottles; good for us and good for the environment. The last experience was having a soft water system installed in the building where we own a condo unit. Needless to say our expensive heaters now have protection and the residents are enjoying the added bonus with the soft water. Thank you to Erik and his staff!

Erik of Arnett’s Plumbing came to our rescue.
We have two 8 year old Noritz Tankless Water Heaters, and the plumber who installed them didn’t tell us they needed routine maintenance, so, we received an Error Code.
We contacted Noritz and they provided a list of certified, trained installers /​repair men, Arnett’s was at the top of that list.
Erik made sure both of our water heaters were serviced and the problem was fixed … we’re happy now.
Call Arnett’s first, you’ll be glad you did.

Eric and Arnett’s Plumbing installed a tankless water heater about 5 years ago at our house. It’s worked great every since and it allows us to have a lot more floorspace in the garage. He’s been out a couple of times for routine maintenance, and the water heater is still working perfectly. If you’re thinking «tankless», go with Arnett’s … you won’t be disappointed!

We have a Noritz tankless that had water gushing out of it. Called around and couldn’t get a plumber on the phone and they didn’t even bother to call back with messages left. You don’t realize the importance of hot water until it goes out. Luckily looked on Unilocal and was able to find Arnett’s Plumbing and talked with Eric. He was very patient and very understanding, and scheduled an appointment for the next morning. Eric quoted a very reasonable price and finished the job perfectly the next day. Very happy with the completed job and level of customer service.

My old water heater gave out and I decided to explore the tankless water heater route. I did a ton of research online and Arnett’s kept coming to the top of the list. I went ahead and got several estimates for different tankless systems and Arnett’s price was among the best. I ended up with a high end Rinnai system. We have 3 showers in our place and constantly fight for hot showers. After the install, we have endless amounts of hot water — great for showering, bad for the waterbill! Eric and his team came out the following day and had the system installed in 3+ hours and hauled away our rusty old water heater. He knows tankless water heaters and I can definitely say that I would go to him again without hesitation. I didn’t feel the same level of expertise and care compared to the larger plumbing groups. From the time of the quote till when the first gush of hot water through our pipes working with Arnett’s has been a great experience.
They walked in to a mess of an old water heater improperly vented and a web of pipes that made no sense and left 4 hours later leaving behind a brand new external Rinnai tankless water heater and took out a major portion of the mess of piping left by 30 years of neglect. The new unit was installed on the back of our house and it looks clean and tidy.
The system is quiet and very efficient. I had to stand right below it to just here its quiet hum as it was heating the water and venting the hot air. I was expecting some cold water to run for a bit at the farther points of the system but hot water got there just as quickly as with the old heater.
We looked at different options and in my mind Arnett’s, though not the cheaper option made the most sense, They gave us an honest quote for the amount of work they had to do and they came through. They came in, did the install and took care of the old water heater and made sure that everything was running smoothly. They answered all our questions and were very upfront about options and potential system issues. They also made sure that we were well taken care of, Our new laundry area will look phenomenal thanks partly to Arnett’s plumbing.

My Noritz tankless water heater went out. I call Arnetts Pluming and I have to say the guy was awesome! Erik pick up my water heater Friday night and had it back sat morning about 8am and with four women in the house hot water is something my house as a whole can not do without. Not only did he fix the issue but there was a few other things wrong with my tankless and he fix those as well! I had another plumbing company out before him and they put the wrong part on my device smh. IF YOU NEED YOUR TANKLESS FIX RIGHT. Call Erik Arnett!!!
