We decided to get some family photos too… We just got our digital pictures from Allison and Holy Smokes!!! They are they amazingly Awesome and Clear!
Allison is awesome, she is so organized, patient during the shoot, she made sure she got good shots, she is great with animals and people. She does everything within the time frame she tells you she’s going to do it!
She personalizes and customizes everything from beginning to the end, just for you, as her client. She is worth every penny and we can’t wait to see our framed photos we ordered!

Allison is very easy to do business with. She made our somewhat timid dog very comfortable. The pictures were better than we expected. We even used one for our Christmas card and received lots of compliments. Allison cares very much about the dogs and the quality of her work. I have recommended her to friends and would only use her for our dog photos! I unconditionally recommend her.

Allison was amazing with my dog! I’ve never been able to get very good pictures of Penny because she is constantly on the move but that didn’t stop Allison from being able to get beautiful photos of her! Everything about this experience was perfect! My dog is usually a little shy but she was comfortable from the beginning! I ordered some pictures for my wall and the quality is amazing and I get so many compliments on them. One of my favorite things about Allison is her eye for detail and the little touches (like the beautiful presentation of the photos and the USB drive that I purchased and the little bag of snacks from a local dog bakery for my pup) that demonstrate how much pride she has in her business. I’ve been recommending her to everyone (even people who are just thinking about getting a dog) and I would love to work with her again!

Words cannot describe what a wonderful experience working with Allison was. From start to finish, it was truly incredible. Allison is an amazing photographer and such an awesome person to be around. My dog, who can be very picky, loved her instantaneously. Allison is a consummate professional. Since my dog loves the beach, Allison suggested that we go to Powerhouse Park in Del Mar for the shoot. Oddly (for San Diego), the weather did not cooperate with us. Allison insisted that we wait for a non-​overcast day, despite the fact I am sure postponing the appoint four times must have disrupted her schedule greatly. But, she was right and I appreciate her patience and dedication. And of course, the end products were incredible. I have recommended Allison to so many family and friends. I cannot wait to see their photos too!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my recent experience with Allison. First of all, her main concern was my dog’s comfort. This meant so much to me. She is so incredibly professional and my dog adored her. From the very first phone call, Allison made everything easy and exciting. Nothing was stressful at all. It was one big play date and my dog had a blast. I would love to have another shoot with Allison in the future.

Allison is amazingly talented! She was able to capture the personality of both of our dogs in dozens of great shots she snapped during an outdoor session at Morley Field in October. She is a master of attracting and maintaining the attention of animals with her toys, treats and animal sounds. We now have so many great pictures of both of our dogs! We picked 3 of our favorites and Allison ordered them to be put on canvas wraps and had them framed as well. They turned out beautifully and we love seeing them on the wall everyday! Allison really takes the time to get to know you and your pups. She has mastered the process and has made everything so seamless. She is truly a natural and quality of her work really reflects her dedication to the art of photography and her love of animals.

«Turbo» and I had a great photo session, and the end result was wonderful. Turbo’s personality really came through in the photos. She is such an active little dog, I was afraid she wouldn’t behave for a photo session, but Allison met with us about a week before the photo session so Turbo would be familiar with the studio. Come photo shoot day, Turbo was very well-​behaved. I am very happy with the photos, and I am using one of them for this year’s holiday cards. I would definitely recommend Allison for pet photography.

Allison does a wonderful job capturing your pets personality in a photo. She came to us as a recommendation from a friend of ours and she had never really photographed horses before. The results were amazing to say the very least! I could not be happier with the images Allison provided and can’t wait to get around to getting some of them printed to hang on our walls. She even got a few bonus shots of our barn cat and took the time to take a few of our chickens too. Allison will go that extra mile to make sure you are completely satisfied. If you have pets I highly recommend Allison. She’s very personable and really has a way with animals. Even with rather poor lighting conditions on our scheduled shoot days she was able to pull off some really amazing shots. Every photo we got back completely captured the ambiance of the moment. As my wife and I looked through the 100’s of photos she sent us every photo brought about some kind of emotion. She did such a great job that some of the photos made us laugh while others elicited the perfect «Awww» and even a few OMG moments. If you truly love your pets you just have to give Allison a call and capture some memories in photos.

We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend Allison! We had won a discounted session fee through a drawing we entered at a dog festival a few months ago and were excited to have some high quality photos taken of our Jack Russell Terrier, Lucy. Allison had us come to her studio first so she could meet Lucy and learn about us and what we were looking for in our photos. We noted that we were celebrating our 5^th wedding anniversary and wanted to be included in some of the pictures, if Lucy would let us ;-) Allison then held the photo shoot at our home and managed to capture several wonderful images of Lucy, of us all together, and even a few of our cat who graced us with her presence for a short while. She really knew how to get Lucy to react and make such adorable expressions for the photos.
After the Session, Allison left us with a cute gift bag that contained instructions on how to photograph the walls in our home that we were considering hanging the final photos on. It was really easy and turned out to be very helpful in deciding what would look good on which walls.
Once the photos were ready for viewing, Allison hosted us at her studio with mini champagne bottles while we watched a giant slide show of the photos and a surprise video of the photo session. The video literally had me tearing up; it was put to music and done so well! After the slide show we looked at some test sizes and layouts of what we were considering purchasing. Using the photos we provided of the walls in our home, she patiently assisted with different options (wrapped canvas, framed, metal print, etc.). We walked out of there very pleased with our choices because we were able to preview what they’ll look like… so cool!
We also purchased a memory stick of the original images and ohhhhmagosh… the package arrived at our house the next week wrapped in the most adorable polka dot cloth with a bow and inside was the cutest little box with an image of Lucy on it and the memory stick inside. It was SO classy and you could tell that Allison takes much pride in her craft! I attached a few pics to demonstrate just how crafty, innovative, and well organized the whole thing was. It was well worth the money and I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone with furry family members!

Allison is SO talented! I met Allison about a year ago and scheduled a session for photography of my dog, Marley. I was a bit skeptical that she would get some good shots of Marley because Marley is very timid and anxious. Every time I try to take a picture of her, she gets scared. Well… no problem for Allison! We did a photo shoot at Presidio Park and it was awesome! Allison gets right down on the ground to take action shots. She is such a natural and knows how to spot a great photo opportunity. The final product is so beautiful. The pictures of Marley really highlight her spirit and love of playing off leash. Everyone who enters my home and sees the pictures of Marley comment on what great pics they are! I would not hesitate for one second to recommend Allison! You won’t be sorry

I am so impressed with Allison and her exceptional work! Our dog, Ele, is not as social or gregarious as some dogs and often acts very timid around new people, but Allison was able to work with her to bring out her best and capture what makes her such a wonderful dog (in our eyes) in her gorgeous photographs. I appreciate the extra time and effort Allison put into our photo shoot and her attention to making the whole experience absolutely unforgettable. Allison is not a person who just takes dog photographs, but a true artist and dog lover who is able to capture the relationship a dog has with their owners and capture it on film.

I received a gift to have my dogs’ pictures taken by Allison, & I have to admit that at first I was a little skeptical. I adore my dogs, but I didn’t think I was the kind of person to spend money on professional photos of them. I thought this would be fun, but had no idea how much I would appreciate the experience & the pictures in the end.
I started out by looking over Allison’s website (which is *great*, by the way — helpful, full of information & inspiration, & really walks you through what the experience will be like working with her). It didn’t take long for me to get excited about the idea of a photo session with my pups in our «natural environment» at Sunset Cliffs in OB.
Then once I actually talked to Allison, and brought my two Aussies to meet with her, I knew this was a great idea. She clearly loves what she does and is professional and helpful from start to finish… but more than that, she makes sure the pictures she takes will be cherished by her clients for years to come. This isn’t a photographer that just lines customers up & gets them out of the way — she knows how special our pets are, & wants to help us capture that.
The photo session is a lot of fun — Allison makes the dogs (and their people) comfortable & has a knack for catching just the right moments to showcase an animal’s personality & the relationship with the owner.
The pictures themselves are gorgeous. All you have to do is click through her website to see that. But you have to see the prints/​products in person to know how good they really are — top quality from the smallest coffee-​table book all the way to the large multi-​canvas sets.
I can honestly say, the photos of my fur-​kids from Allison will be some of my most cherished possessions, especially as my dogs age, and long after they’re gone. If you’re looking for someone to photograph your pets, stop looking — this is who you need behind the camera!
