We offer private and group instruction in Ballroom, Latin, Swing and Salsa. Absolutely DanceSport provides a superior method of teaching partner dancing that produces long-​term students and more importantly quality dancers. Absolutely DanceSport also offers performance services for such things as professional shows or private and corporate events.

Our full line of services include professional coaching, internships, teacher training and certification, teacher video choreography, competitions, wedding programs, youth and after school programs, dance therapy, senior adult programs, dance products, fund raising, and community involvement. Now teaching people with disabilities.

History

Established in 1999.

Absolutely DanceSport started in 1999 when William Valencia, owner and ceo relocated from upstate NY.

We started teaching at some of the local studios individual lessons while we found a facility in Little Italy, San Diego. (13 000 Sq Ft of space.

It was quite a challenge to start a studio with this type of space and cost, however, our determination to bring dancing to those who have never had the opportunity to learn motivated us to take action and open the studio.

We had the largest dance studio in the entire US. We used that as a opportunity to promote our new facility and people came from everywhere to see the facility. We offered several art shows at this location, fund raisers, show and dance once a month, a dance on thursday– sunday and the place was so large that it almost seem to be empty even when people attended events.

We offer workshops, specialty group classes and all type of events… truly a wonderful facility. On 2004 we moved to new facility in Mission Hills.
