Shortest wait in town. Great customer service. I’ve been able to come in here and get a transfer registration done in 10 minutes. The last time I came in, I paid my registration fee and was out in 12 minutes. Be sure to bring cash for payment as they don’t accept credit cards.

Rip off. My rates just go up the longer than I am with them while my driving record is clean and no accidents at all. It’s gone up about 30 – 40 dollars for no reason at all.

A friend of mine convinced me to switch to AAA and despite a minor price increase I switched and was shocked by the errors on my policy when AAA sent me the policy info! I literally read my exact limitations off my AllState renewal paperwork so there was no room for errors. Anyways, when I called to update the inaccurate information they informed me of a ton of increases in costs which eventually led to over $ 360/​year vs my AllState policy FOR THE SAME SERVICE! I cant believe I fell for a bait & switch…
Between the «finance fees» which totalled $ 271.32 for the year, the fact that only your 1^st transaction can be done with a credit card which means i cannot use my cash back card credit card benefits to help cover the increase in cost ($ 15 loss right there), the increases to my policy when i corrected the misinformation on my policy, etc I felt i was not adequately informed of costs and despite being upset i never copped an attitude.
I then asked to speak with someone about all the misinformation i received upon sign up and was placed on hold for about 20 minutes and eventually hung up on. No one called my phone or attempted to call me back and i wasn’t sure how to get back on hold with whomever i was waiting for. I decided at that moment that i would switch back to AllState and when i called AAA to cancel i spent another 20 minutes just trying to cancel my policies because they needed to see proof of my new insurance which is just ridiculous. AllState canceled my old plan in less than 2 minutes and reinstated my old plan within 25 minutes.
Slow service, misinformation, expensive, avoid them if you can

Terrible customer service. Not only is the menu on the phone needlessly complicated just to get to talk to a human, but when you finally do get someone and let them know you’re coming in for something, they don’t warn you of the wait time whatsoever. And like other reviewers have pointed out, the front desk is run by an unpleasant woman who is happy to tell you that you’ll have to wait 40 minutes for a 5-​minute transaction (in this case, buying some tickets). Right before closing time.
They’re so disorganized. Why would they lump all transactions together? Filing a claim and buying tickets aren’t the same thing and shouldn’t be treated as such. So in this particular case, we drove half an hour out of our way for nothing. The other time I’ve been here was nothing special.
I do enjoy being a member of AAA despite their high prices, but I will not be coming back to this branch.

This service is the WORST!!! Stay clear. I have paid for this service for 19 years.
They collect money for my car, but when it comes to actually towing it. they say no coverage as it requires special equipment. I want my 19 years of payments back

The lady at the front desk is way excited to tell you how long the wait is as well, almost as if she is daring you to leave so she doesn’t have to deal with you.
The people I saw working there had no sense of urgency. A huge group came in after I did and all I could hear the employees talking about is how they need to be let off on their break.
Come on man.

Just got my auto insurance with Misty Farr and she’s awesome! So nice and helpful. Pretty quick with process too. I’ve always loved AAA towing! Glad I have AAA. Plus, today I got my FREE GIFT for joining AAA Southern California. I didn’t even know I was getting a gift so yay for that added bonus! :)

My boyfriend and I are planning a 90 day road trip to hit all 50 states in 2016. We came in here to get our trip planned and Amanda has been amazing. She’s so patient and listening to our wants. She even is giving us books for states that we are unfamiliar with. She is extremely knowledgable about all the states. Brought us like 10 books to help. I recommend going to see her for anything you need! Very very intelligent.

There has been a few great things about having AAA insurance, but the bad has outweighed the good. Overall, they have been very helpful when I have been in an accident. However, they constantly mix my account up with my mom’s. This has caused my account to lapse twice due to my money going toward the wrong account or my address getting changed without my permission and me not getting any notifications. I will regret signing up with AAA, and will be looking for a more reliable insurance company.

I usually come here for my car registration and it’s always been such a simple and easy process. I prefer it over dealing with the DMV. Unfortunately, AAA doesn’t handle drivers license renewals or ID’s but they got the registration covered.
I usually do walk-​ins. You check in at the front and the next rep available will help you. Simple, fast and easy.
I’ve also utilized their travel agents. They can give you information on their package deals or tours and help you book it as well.

AAA underwriter re-​evaluated my house to «not fit to insure» after accepting all the insurance payments. I have a lot of respect for AAA, but this was kinda lazy on their part. I can totally see this is – capitalism.

I’ve been a triple A member for about 30 years now and I’ve never been disappointed with their service. When I first signed up I just used the emergency towing service because you never know (when you have an older car) when or where your car will break down. Since then I’ve used their travel service, top notch and most importantly their DMV service, which is invaluable to me. You don’t have to make an appointment, you don’t really have to wait very long, (ten minutes at the most) they are always polite, friendly and helpful. Can’t beat that, especially knowing the horrific wait times at the DMV and the 50 to 60 people waiting to be helped, ugh. Triple A beats the DMV any day or time, hands down. Just love my triple A!
So I went to the Clairemont Dr. location to renew my registration and found out they were having a promotion. If you apply for, get a quote on, or sign up for any service you get to pick one item they have on display. Really I was tempted by the super cute penguin, but I could not resist the clear blue, gel filled, water bottle.

Dont file a claim with AAA because if the tow driver damages the vehicle, they dont follow up with the inquiry. I had to file a claim from damage from towing and AAA will not follow up dispite 4 messages in a month. As a 27 year member, I’m calling it quits. Use your insurance towing, its easier and more reliable. The tow companies are unprofessional and do not care about your needs.

My daughter, who is on my policy, just had a horrible situation with the tow truck driver. Seems he was not completely honest about the 7-​mile limit and insisted she pay $ 70 or have her car impounded. So very unprofessional. When she finally got to a mechanic, he told her the tow truck driver was dishonest. The driver is a representation of AAA and I expect better.

AAA is always fast and helpful, the staff helpful friendly and it sure beats DMV for registrations etc.

I was going to make this a 2-​star review but the customer service I’ve received from my sales rep bumps it up another star.
2-​stars because other than Rory, my experience with AAA is/​was subpar. Their customer service as a whole is non spectacular and very basic, their rates are outrageous, and there’s nothing that really makes them stand out against competitors.
I’ve been insured with them for 2 years simply for the fact that I’ve enjoyed working with Rory. Now that I’ve gotten a new car and my policy has nearly tripled in price, that can no longer be a factor in my decision. Why would I willingly pay $ 230 per month (not including their outrageous premium for paying monthly) when I could spend $ 110 elsewhere for the same coverage? You’re right audience, I won’t.
Pro-​tip: Avoid the manager, Eric, at all costs. He sucks and will actually remove discounts that apply to you and increase your policy premium. Serious the guy sucks.

Awesome service here and especially Rory Blas in the auto insurance area. Fast, friendly and efficient, I transferred title on a new car, added the vehicle to my AAA insurance and added my daughter to our AAA membership in less than 40 minutes. This would have been 2 hours minimum at DMV and another insurance company. Rory was so outstanding that I felt compelled to Unilocal about it. All the staff here are great and knowing my daughters and wife are carrying a AAA card gives me comfort. Well worth the money for a membership, and people like Rory are great ambassadors for AAA.

I have been with you this year 2015 for 20 years and it was time to renew I wanted to go down to the 48 bracket because I was a little short of money and I didnt need it until next March or April the regular plus. Your person on the phone is telling me that most tollings are 15 miles and you will be at only seven I said great. Thats a little irritating. Then I said next March or April Ill have to jacket up to the next bracket then he tells me if I get a towing job between then theres a 90 day wait that made me even more irritated so I told him fine I have to get a tow and then have to wait 90 days Ill just quit the whole thing. Ive been with you guys for 20 years and Ive never used it for myself you think after 20 years you get something out of it instead of a painted yellow card very unhappy may start looking for something else.

I’m so glad AAA is open on Saturday for DMV related business! I work during the weekdays and it’s a hassle to get to the DMV. Last time we went to get our driver’s licenses it took three hours and we got there a half hour before they opened!
We arrived around 10:30 am. We waited 30 minutes and the transactions took about 15 minutes for two cars. The greeter was a bit abrupt with us and other members, but I guess I would be too if I had to greet hundreds of people all day who didn’t know what they actually need at the AAA office.
Just make sure you bring the proper paper work when you go. It will save you a lot of time so you don’t have to fill it out at the office. We’ll be coming back here for our registration renewal in two years! Probably will be back for attraction tickets when we have guests in town.

Very friendly staff. They rarely keep you waiting and are very knowledgeable. You can purchase insurance, take care of DMV paperwork, plan a trip, purchase a membership and so many more things at this location. There is ample parking.
They are not pushy and actually care about you as an individual or family, not as a dollar sign.
