This place is very good. I want to give them 4 ½ stars. I just wish they would get a little bigger selection. Their clothes are San Deigo centric with a lot of unique pieces, designed in clever ways, to related them to SD. The shop is clean and minimalist with a classic feel to it. In addition to being a clothing store, they also sell these delicious cheesecake cookies (dangerous). When confronted by something new that I have never had before I label it an «experience» and unleash my inner fat kid. It would be wise for you to do the same. The woman that has been working here every time I stop by is very cool.

Family owned and operated, 5 & a dime is a staple to San Diego. Been coming in regularly for a couple years now and the staff is friendly, my man jay is a super cool laid back guy and I’m 100% he and his sister will treat you right. Whether you’re looking for some new threads to rock or want to enjoy a dank combo of cookies and an ice cold glass of milk — do yourself a favor and stop by and familiarize yourself with the place & people. They just moved into their old spot off G, & the place looks great. Did I mention their selection of old school sodas? Cheerwine is the way to go.

When cruzin down in San Diego I always gotta make a few pit stops at some classics spots like Brooklyn Pizza.
Now I will be adding 5&A Dime to that list. Support your local Business people’s. Can’t say a light about this Family owned biss not to mention «TheGoodStuffCo» man them cookies are super. Big s/​o to Bud & Dolly with out them I would never know about this legit shop!

What a cool cute shop! Walked by but turned back for 1. Love the name. 2. walk in and its so nostalgic. Awesome soda machine and throw back ice cream push cart. The t-​shirts, hats are hip. The counter is like a kitchen island and they have an old school kitchen set up. Stove, fridge and awesome cool worker or owner. They have a clever way of packaging the cookies. But you have to visit the lovely shop to find out. 5& A Dime. Luv the black & white décor.
