Love this place! I’ve taken my dog here on many occasions for multiple days at a time. They staff is great and my dog LOVES it here. He’s always so exhausted when we get home.
Although I haven’t left town in a while to drop my dog off here, I have stopped in for a nail trim and it’s only $ 10! Make sure to call ahead to be sure the groomer is in. It’s super quick!

My little girl Lucky is a rescue and so so shy. I’ve been bringing her to paws since we got her a year ago but took a break for a few months. Me and my husband recently started dropping her off again and I l mentioned to paws how shy she was and if there’s anything they can do to make her feel more welcome. They were so sweet to her and she is a different dog. Now when she gets dropped off her tail is up & she’s so happy to be there. I love that I can watch her on cameras, and if I need anything I send an email/​or call and they are always there. I am so happy we found such an amazing day care. My little girl is my world & when she’s there they make her a part of their world too! Thank you guys for loving my baby!!!

Charlie goes there for his Grooming and he likes it. When we have had to be away from Charlie we take him here and the kids can watch him from their web cams. They do a good job. Look for their coupons on their website.

This place is great. We feel that our dog gets personalized service. He loves being there, so he gets a vacation as well as we do. He comes home clean, tired and happy. Please support this business if you live near San Clemente and love your dog as if it is your child.

Last week was my 1 year old Labs 3^rd stay here. The first time was great and I enjoyed being able to see her on my phone. Although, The second time she came home with a very bad case of kennel cough. The owner gave us a 2 day certificate as a result but the $ 500+ I spent at the vet for testing was financially painful and the 2 day comped stay did not make up for this expense.
Last week we had to go out of town for 3 days so we utilized our 2 free days from the last kennel cough experience. Although Roxy appeared to enjoy and was nice and tired, I also discovered several long scratches along her back and rear sides that have turned to scabs. All I can think is that she had very rough play time with physical damage. Because of these scratches/​wounds, I will have to take Roxy to another dog care facility.

Paws is an amazing place. I adopted my sweet little brownie from them and she has truly been a blessing. They were kind and informative and also they don’t go on a first come first serve adoption basis which is great. It ensures they get the best option of owners. I’m so glad they picked us. My dog is truly my best friend and she has such a wonderful life with us.

I am honestly surprised there aren’t more reviews on Unilocal about this place, because they are truly doing an amazing job!!!
We are bringing our two dogs Sunny and Clyde here when we are out of town, and every time we couldn’t be more grateful for the great care they get at Paws!
The staff is super friendly and professional and are always there to accommodate all requests. They genuinely love dogs and this explains the great results.
The facility has cameras accessible on the internet so that you can watch the doggies on camera while you are vacationing or gone for business.
They constantly clean after the dogs in the dog play area and the place is always clean and top notch as far as maintenance, cleanliness, and FUN!
Over the past years we’ve taken our dogs to several places and this is by far the best!!!

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Paws Pet Resort. We adopted our beloved Chiweenie pup named Dash from them a little over 18 months ago. So sorry this review is so late. But this was our first rescue, so we were a little hesitant. But the staff and the owner at Paws Pet are all great.
They also have a great selection of dogs that are up for adoption. You should check them out first if you’re thinking of getting a new dog. For the first 2 months of his life he grew up at Paws… getting socialized and making friends. No matter where we go, everyone knows Dash. We are so glad we found Paws. We still drop him off there from time to time… it’s like going to visit family! :-)

My husband and I dropped off our 1 year old German shepherd here. At first we loved it. Our dog does not go in the play room and does the one and one because he is a rescue and does not do well with lots of dogs at once. We dropped him off for 3 days while we went out of town. When we picked him up they told us that he was being aggressive with the workers and that the two trainers he loved hadn’t been working all day. So, my dog was locked in the little room for most of our trip. When we picked him up he was so depressed and he had peed all over himself and his bed. I was in tears because I felt so guilty for leaving my dog here. I understand if he was being aggressive, but they absolutely should have called us to come pick him up instead of locking him a room all day. For the next few days my dog had a bad kennel cough and was really sick. The only reason I didn’t give less than 3 stars is because the trainers were so amazing with him and we got a phone call apologizing. I won’t bring my dog here again. My dog was so sad after. It broke my heart.

I have left my two dogs here many times when we’ve gone out of town. My dogs don’t play well w others and they are a hand full in general so it’s nice that I can still board them there, and they have one on one play time. I’ve never had any issues. Check in and out is always super easy and quick. I really like having them get a bath before check out cuz then they smell amazing and I don’t have to do the work of washing them. I never have to stress about my dogs when I’m on vacation.

Love love love this place! I am a neurotic pet owner and wouldn’t leave my precious puppy just anywhere. Clyde absolutely loves coming here and the staff is amazing! I find myself watching him on the camera the entire time he is there and the staff is so prompt at cleaning up accidents and it’s awesome to see them sitting with all of the dogs and even holding some!

I stopped by yesterday during lunchtime. I was inquiring about daycare for my 1 year old Golden Retriever. I was very impressed when I walked in the door as I noticed the cleanliness and lack of odor. Since my dog has never been to doggie daycare and is very shy, I had several questions. It was then that I became annoyed. The girl working the front counter rushed through my questions. Okay fine. So then I asked for a tour to see where my dog would be during her days there. The girl would not do a walk through with me (Ummm, I wouldn’t leave my child at a daycare without seeing and touring it same with my sweet golden). Okay fine. I was very put off by this, I politely thanked her, left and will never return. Unfortunate too because they came recommended by a couple friends. I drove right down the street to Camp Bow Wow… They were lovely, and were beyond accommodating with my questions and even «offered» to give me a tour. We signed up!

This place is amazing. They love and take care of my Boy Dexter! I love them and they love us — This place in number one for day care, caring staff and grooming.

Paws is great!
I bring my little guy here on days when I’m gone from home for too long. He was very scared and apprehensive the first time — I think he thought it was the vet! — but seems to be getting used to it.
Checking him in is super fast which is good when I’m running late (like always) and I like that they have a cam so I can check on him during the day. The staff is also cool about helping point out your pup on the cam and extra outside walks are free which is a big plus!
If it helps anyone, I decided on paws (vs bow wow) because bow wow requires a bordatella vaccine every 6 months which I’m not personally comfortable with. Not necessarily bad, but a personal choice for those of us dog owners who would rather not! I believe the prices are otherwise comparable, and paws also has a special weekend rate.
The only reason I give a 4 and not a 5 is because my dog still seems to be a little uncomfortable when I see him on the cam when he’s usually a playful little guy. My boyfriend and I joke that he’s running for mayor of the dog park… but I will chalk that up to separation anxiety. I see plenty of dogs absolutely raring to go when their owners bring them in!
I will update my review to a 5 if and when he seems to enjoy himself more bc that will be a job well done :)

Our 1^st experience (Jan14’) w/​Paws was good or so we thought. Our little senior came home with a beautiful groom however he was very quiet. It was slightly concerning as he is a peppy pup but we thought he had a lot of excitement w/​group activity.
Our 2^nd experience will be our last… When I came in to pick him up I asked if everything went okay. Did he behave well? Any issues? Nope he was great. As I was putting my dog in his car seat I noticed he looked very out of it his pupils looked different. I told my husband he looked extremely medicated and thirsty. When we arrived home he threw up three times. He was also wiping his bottom on the carpet. Low and behold his bottom was crusted with fecal matter. Days later our dog is still VERY OFF. Unfortunately my husband and I have no idea what in the world went on at this facility and we never will.

I adopted a surrender puppy in February and am going back to work in July, so I’m on a fast track to getting my boy trained. Which, of course, includes socialization.
Paws has been a fabulous resource for me! Cowboy just loves it there and pulls on his leash to get inside. I take him there 3 or 4 times a week for a few hours and feel so comfortable leaving him there.
My only complaint is their hours will not coincide with my work hours when I go back to work in Irvine in July. I will not be able to get home from Irvine in time. Sadness! Luckily, I have found a great place in Tustin that is more in sync with my work hours.
That said, I love the doggy cams so I can watch Cowboy any time I want to see what is going on. They have an interesting playroom with slides and a very popular bridge. They know him by name and are so sweet when I bring him in.

We tried PAWS for the first time a couple weeks ago. We didn’t know how our dog would do over the weekend, so we took him in for a trial day. The trial was free! And, we loved it. I can’t read our dog’s mind, but I’m pretty sure he liked it too. We put him in the little dog room, knowing he’s often intimidated by big dogs. It’s great they have the option.
The best part was that they have cams up in the rooms so you can spy on your dog all day. Let’s just say I got no work done at my job on his trial day and I told my fiancé that I want to leave the dog there every now and then just so I can watch him on the cam. Ha. Another cool thing: They give you a little report card on how your dog behaved. They totally understand that pets can be like children.
The overnight weekend stay was great. Our dog is pretty shy and nervous, but he did great. It was so cool to see him hanging out with the other dogs on the cam. There was ALWAYS someone in the room with the dogs – petting them, cleaning up, etc. At night, each dog gets a «suite» with a bed and TV. Hilarious. I joked with a friend that I wouldn’t mind spending a weekend at PAWS.
With the 10% first-​timer discount, it cost us only $ 80 to leave him Friday and Saturday and pick him up at 4 on Sunday. That’s an awesome deal. I’ve paid almost that much to have my pets stuffed in a cage at a kennel before. Sad.
Our doggie came home EXHAUSTED – in a good way. This is great for their socialization, I think. We’ll be back, regularly :)

I brought my dog Sammie her on the recommendation of a friend. She is a rescue and had/​still has some issues with anxiety and fear of dogs and people. I was very concerned the first time we brought her here because I wasn’t sure how she would react.
They took great care of her! During the time where they had her interacting with other dogs, they kept her with the small dogs since she was more afraid of the bigger dogs. By the end of our trip she was getting very comfortable over there. When we got her back she was such a better dog in many ways. This is our 3^rd trip that I am having her stay at Paws and I am very happy to be able to be comfortable leaving her here. It allows me to actually enjoy my vacation and not worry about the care she is receiving in our absence.
They allow you to bring all of your pets supplies/​toys/​crate/​bed that you want and feed them their regular food if you bring it and provide them instructions or pre bag the meals. The staff is very friendly and can answer any questions or concerns you will have. The cost is $ 45 per night and they provide some discounts for longer stays.

I have tried to love this place. I was referred by a friend. I was so happy to have a place to drop my crazy Jacks off to play and run some energy out. The staff is amazingly nice.
Here’s the bad… The place freaking reeks of urine. I mean reeks… I thought maybe the smell was from a day of dogs (I didn’t drop them off on the first visit, only picked them up) and maybe they cleaned at night. Oh no. I tried them again and it was just as bad. The smell is so overbearing and I have asked a couple of friends and they agreed… totally stinks.
And now for the deal breaker… My healthy dog came home with kennel cough. Took her to the vet and they confirmed it; 2 weeks of meds. We called Paws and they apologized… Again, so freaking nice I actually felt bad. They sent a free coupon in the mail a few days later… which I won’t be using. Hubs calls it «Pees» instead of «Paws»… lol…
