History

Established in 2007.

In high school we were both involved in music and art programs. We started dating a week before graduation and after 5 years together we got married and moved from the desert to the beach. Over the years we experimented and practiced art in it’s various forms in school and on our own time. In March, 2007 an opportunity arose just around the corner from where we lived, a screen printing shop was vacating a space and we had been playing with screen printing since high school. Spending all our extra time we made possible the funds to start our business with a name we had been throwing around for 2 years since 2005, Artwistic Creations. Starting our own business gave us the freedom of freelance artists. Even with the economic situation we continue to make our bills and strive to improve and continue growth in our work. Our passion for art and making each other happy in life has guided us along our path. We’ve built our business around talent, quality, and customer satisfaction.

I have always been a traditional artist who preferred a pencil & paper to a mouse & computer screen & I fought learning computer graphics until I realized the future of art careers would require computer skills. In 2003, I graduated Valedictorian with my Associates Degree in Fine Arts & a Graphic Design Certificate. After college, I became the sole Graphic Artist for a local screen printer where I designed custom t-​shirt graphics & logos for schools businesses, & sports teams internationally. In 2006, my creative career took another big move as I relocated to San Clemente, CA to become the newest Graphic Artist to join the Focus On Souvenirs family. You can see my pins, key rings, magnets & other custom souvenir items at Disneyland, Universal Studios, the United Nations, National Parks, Las Vegas Resorts & many more nationwide locations! In 2007, I started my own company, Artwistic Creations, with my husband, Fred Nelsen, who is also a very talented artist.
