Wells Fargo Bank

Super crappy location. Ramsey and Ferdinand were not the least bit helpful in assisting me with a question I had regarding my account. They also put me on hold for over ten minutes and tossed me around to different employees’ phone lines. Don’t come to this branch.

If I could give negative stars, that’s what I’d give. Not really sure what her name is, but one of the tellers at this location moved my account from my old location and also moved my money without notifying me before doing so. So, as I stood in front of a cashier at a store in the mall, I had to feel embarrassed as he told me my card was declined. Meanwhile, I am confused on why I have no money. Upon going into another branch for help I was informed that I had actually been given a new account and that my money was being moved over to my new account. Avoid this branch if all possible. Or atleast the Indian female teller. Note: I say indian as an identifiable characteristic, not as a racial attack.

I really like the people in this branch. WF has been working on their customer service skills for several years. It shows glowingly at this branch. They always have a smile, are super helpful and concerned that customers are getting the best service. Great job, guys.

I have had nothing but excellent customer service from the people in this bank. Today, Martin Salazar helped me get a new card and PIN because I had shopped at Home Depot during the security breach. He even walked me out to the ATM so I could test the new card/​PIN.
The last time this happened to me with Target, I was assisted by Ken Yamauchi and Ferdinand, the manager. I have been banking here for over 20 years without any problems.

ZERO STARS IF I COULD GIVE IT!!! This is an UPDATE to my completely unflattering review of Wells Fargo of San Carlos. I’m here to tell you they have done it yet again. I have mostly been going to the Sequoia Station branch & have given them 5 STARS. I went to SC yesterday instead had an appointment close by. I did nothing different then I do at any other Wells Fargo. I cash my check, I put it in as cash, I take some, mostly I deposit. I tried that at SC and to my surprise, which I really was, I had Merriam come up to check why I was doing what I was doing. The first and only thing out of her mouth, in a snotty accusatory tone was «Is this a payroll check?» In my head I was thinking REALLY you can’t tell that from looking at it? I just thought oh great here we go AGAIN!!! I say that because Merriam was Asian. Yet again I get crap from yet another one in that branch. See my previous review & you will follow where I’m going with this. My teller Diego, he was so totally cool, very smart and had everything handled but had to ask for service. That’s when all the attitude came forth. She went over to the same Asian manager that I had a problem with before and started pointing to me and just like before he was giving me the stink eye. I’m tired of this crap! There was nothing wrong with my check or what I was trying to do. Eugenie came over like before and basically punched in a code and walked off. WTF tell the others to do the same thing and GET OFF THEIR POWER TRIP. IT AIN’T THEIR $$$ IT’S OURS, THE CUSTOMERS!!!

Wow, I am not sure why there are so many low reviews for this location. This location is a great location. I was serviced by a teller named Tupou who was great at what he does. Line was quick, he was efficient and I was out of the door in no time. Store was also clean and well maintained.

Be very careful of using this bank. A friend of mine has a business for which individuals pay her by check. She recently deposited 18 checks with a teller inside the San Carlos branch of Wells Fargo and the bank lost all of the checks!!! Yes, that’s right, the bank LOST 18 checks that were deposited with a teller.
Further, the bank did virtually nothing to help my friend. They put all of the burden on her. She had to produce the deposit slip signed by the teller to prove that she deposited the checks, but since they had lost the checks they would not deposit the amount in her account. Instead, my friend had to go back through her records to figure out who she had received checks from and then contact each person individually and ask them to put a stop payment on the check and give her a new check.
The bank is paying the stop payment fee for her clients, but she has to administrate the payment between the bank and her clients. She even had to insist that the bank give her a letter that she could give to her clients to explain the problem. The bank was not forthcoming in providing a letter.
She has spent many hours of her time each week for many weeks trying to recover from the bank’s eggregious mistake. She did everthing right, the bank did everything wrong and she is paying the price. It’s been awful.
Don’t deposit checks at this bank if you can avoid it.

wow. i have been banking here for quite a few years, and have not always been thrilled with the customer service… but on my last trip to the bank (which is usually not my idea of a fun trip) I was acually wow’ed by the improvement in this branch. I was helped my Monette, who i guess is the branch manager, and she went above and beyond my expectations to fix all the problems I was having with my accounts.
This was a perfect example of how I want to be treated by the people who have my money, I think I might acually cancel my bank of america accounts because they are lacking in the customer service dept…

As an insurance agent customer service is very very important to me. This is by far one of my favorite branches. The tellers have always been friendly and the bankers have always been helpful.
The key is they always seem very sincere. Cheers to them and keep up the good work…

Such a horrible bank.
I used to go to the Wells Fargo in Mountain View and always had a wonderful experience. Since I moved to San Carlos I started going to this branch. The service is just horrendous. Rude, not helpful what so ever. Changed my service policy on my accounts and charged me ridiculous fees. When I went to complain about the $ 50 fees they only refunded $ 14 because that was their refund limit! I hate this bank.
Because of their awful service I immediately changed banks to Chase.

As a former employee of Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., I have a very critical eye for quality of retail bank stores. Street parking in San Carlos can be difficult depending on the time of day, and the lot in the back can be surprisingly full at random times. Usually, parking is ample. I recommend this location because it is convenient, it usually doesn’t seem to be crowded (less waiting in line), and the staff seems friendly. Nothing amazing here, but it isn’t bad either.
