Yesterday i visited San Carlos one. After rain the pots in the garden were full of water, i was lucky, noticed it, lady became all over wet, when she was taking a big pot, it pissed off even me. Pots were hard to reach. Today a guy in a return point was rude and unpleasant. His acts offended me.
But very lovely lady was experienced and helped me to choose gardening products, a guy helped me to find proper electric stuff. They were lovely and helpful.

I came in here 1 hour before closing to make spare keys for my new home. The kind lady at self checkout paged multiple times for someone to come help me, but when no one came she helped me herself. I was able to get 2 keys cut and with self checkout right in front of me, I walked out in less than 10 minutes. Very pleased with the service I received but I wonder where the person who cut keys normally was hiding.
Ample parking in the lot, and easy to find.

They glue flowers onto succulents… enough said. Deception in front of your face, beware of a store that tries to sell you a fake plant as a real one.

I took out a Home Depot Project Loan back in 2012 to get my kitchen renovated. I decided to pay it off through my on line banking account rather than use the payment coupons. I also wanted to pay off the loan asap. Little did I know that because I didn’t use the payment coupons, I would never receive any statement that would show how much I paid and how much I still owed. So, even though I called them to find out how much I needed to pay to pay off the loan, they would tell me they couldn’t give me that info over the phone. So, I ended up over paying the loan. No one ever called me or emailed me even though they had my contact information. Finally, I was contacted after I sent another email requesting a statement from them AGAIN. I was told that I over payed the loan by an amount of $ 4588.94. SHOCKING! They told me they would send a check. The check was supposedly cut on 10/​29/​2015, but to this day (12÷5÷2015), I have received NOTHING!
Do not take out a project loan from Home Depot. It is nothing but a rip off! I don’t think I will ever get my money back!

Poor customer service at the return area. I just bought outside Christmas lights a few days ago. Brought them back to exchange them because half of the string did not light up. I did not have the correct receipt so I said store credit would be fine since I just want to get a new string of lights as an even exchange. The first man named Michael was really nice and perhaps a little new so he asked for some help from another person. This is when it went downhill. The first lady that stepped in said she couldn’t help me since I didn’t have the receipt. When I said I didn’t want my money back I just wanted to exchange it for a product that works. She three her hands up and said call someone else and walked away. Leaving Michael in an uncomfortable situation he called for someone else but no one ever came. Then a different lady came up and I again told my situation and she said the lights I originally bought are only worth $ 1.09 since I didn’t have a receipt. They were only worth that amount because lights are a seasonal item. I would understand this statement if it were around Valentines Day but it’s December 1^st. The shelves are stocked with lights. It prime time light buying for goodness sakes. After arguing with me that she could not do anything for me I told her this was the most ridiculous exchange I have ever had at Home Depot. Finally after making a scene in front of a ton of other customers she finally does what she should have done in the very first place… exchanges the non working lights with working lights. DUH!!! Just do the right thing and save everyone from holiday stress that is unnecessary.

Very convenient store for San Carlos residents. I’ve been at other Home Depots with wider selections. However, overall friendly service and family time on the first Saturday of each month make up for it.

Not as big as some so items are limited. and like mpst big warehouse stores short on help

I’ve been multiple time to this store, and every time the service is simply great. Yes, it might be challenging to find somebody helpful during the rush hours, the best time to visit is early in the morning or later before closing.
The last time I needed some color for walls and other little things to complete a laundry room project. Multiple guys and gals from various department helped me to find exactly what I was looking for while maximizing the value.
They have brought up the expertise I needed and advices me to the best of their abilities. The only department that is an outlier was electric. I couldn’t find what I was looking for and nobody was there to help.
I hope the store will keep up the good work and delight customers with great service.

So glad to add another bad review to this store. I was fine to come here before but now I feel terrible to go there. We bought our kitchen cabinet from them and the service was horrible. The lady who helped us was nice but she even told us that she hated her job. Over 3 weeks late to deliver our cabinet and it could have been up to 7 weeks if I did not follow up on my own. Lame excuse about a fax was not translated into an email so she did not received the email until I told her to check. Lousy business, lousy customer service and now I hate the Home Depot Brand.
Funny part is that home depot has no clue how much their customers hates them and they don’t even care

This is the worst store I have been in. they should close this location down and open up a new one with completely new staff new management. just because nobody gives a shit here. I’ve been waiting for somebody to make me a key for over 20 minutes they have both people page someone twice, nobody showed up and as I was leaving the store no one try to stop me just to at least apologize or say can you please hold on a few more minutes. Or act like you try to help. Idiots. No gratitude for having a job. Shape up or hire someone who cares. And whats really the worse I’m sure there’s at least one or two people that really care and busting their ass in there and the rest just fucking shit up there so my thing is this people need to be smacked across their fucking lazy faces.

Home Depot is seriously the worst. I tried to return two light switches that don’t work, and even though they could identify the charge on my credit card and could even print me a new receipt for the purchase, they couldn’t process the return because «the computer rejected the return.» They told me to send a letter to a P.O. box and that headquarters would get back to me in 30 days. The manager wasn’t even available to talk to me.
Seriously? You sold me a product that doesn’t work and I have to jump through hoops to get my money back? And why is it so difficult to find a human to help you when you need it? It’s the worst customer service I’ve ever had. I’m going to ACE and Amazon for everything from here on out.

I found on line that this location had a fire pit I wanted in stock. When I got there I had the same experience that others have noted. However, when I got home I found the sku and called the store. I talked to Maria who told me that they had already stocked with the next season goods. Their computer didn’t have the item in stock, but she would have someone check the racks. In less than 2 hours she called me back and said they did have the item I wanted (in some obscure location). She could have hung up the phone and called me crazy. .. instead someone looked for the item. I’m coming back to this store.

This is the worst Home Depot ever. Even though I can’t add much to the ranting from the other reviewers, I decided to write one anyways so I feel a little better. Everything the negative reviews say is true and more.
Two weeks ago I ordered a door through Junior. He was great. Professional, knowledgeable and even called me back to confirm that I would have my special order door today.
I’ve spent the entire morning calling the door department; no answer. I tried the main line numerous times; they either answer and put me on hold forever or they just hang up. One time, they answered and I could hear them shuffling some papers around, but they hung up again.
Asking for the manager just results in the endless holds or being hung up on.
My contractors need the door so they can hang it. Now, after all day of being hung up on, I will have to drive down there myself to figure out what’s going on.
Avoid this place unless you like being treated like dirt.

Never use their installation services. Never, or at your own risk.
It took three contractors to install a sliding door for me. The first contractor’s work didn’t pass city inspection: no exterior flashing was installed. The second contractor took it and reinstalled: water leaked during rain. The third contractor came and took the door out the second time. But the caulking was badly done. Gave up on the Home Depot afterward. Find a handyman to fix the remaining problem. The worst workmanship ever possible!
Got a full refund from my credit company (kudos to them).

Went in to look for decent plants hanging pots and some cool looking plants for my Terrarium. Walk around and was startled by employee around the corner yelling at a customer. Not sure what the hell he was yelling at the customer for but that was rude. Than I went into the check out area. All these employees lurking around like they are Gollum. Searching for precious but I am sure since I look like an unattractive Hobbit. They won’t even notice me… lol Sigh… Self check out it is and walking around searching for shit on my own is kind of like I am in «The Hobbit: The Unexpected Journey» Sad little place with lots of lazy people. Thanks HomeDepot once again for making me wasted little time I have left on this planet.

This particular Home Depot seems to be badly run. They’re out of little stuff the web site says they have. They can’t cut lumber; their panel saw has been down for months. Most of the carts for moving lumber are tied up by employees or out in the parking lot. Yesterday they had a big stack of doors for sale that were warped, as if the plastic had softened in the sun. A few weeks ago the entire garden equipment aisle was out of action because it was being used to store pallets of merchandise. Customer service isn’t really «customer service», it’s just a returns desk. Customer service consists mostly of excuses.
It’s frustrating. Home Depot is convenient and useful, but this location needs some major changes.

I would never have expected to write a 5 star review for a warehouse-​style store. They save money — and I get stuff cheaper — by having little customer service. It definitely gets annoying, especially when checking out and there’s only one cashier.
I try to go to the human checkers as often as possible to encourage stores to keep the humans!
I went in a couple of Mondays ago to pick up a little plant for a friend. It was a typical Monday — you know what I mean. It was a very unexpected checkout experience.
The woman was one of the nicest, kindest, sweetest people I’ve ever met. She made my day. I told everyone — and I’m still telling people. I’m embarrassed I can’t remember her name. If you want to start your week out great, go into Home Depot on Monday mornings and look for the lady with the big smile and long dark hair.

HORRIBLE customer service here! I’m a general contractor and love hardware stores– yesterday however, I was appalled at the attitudes of the people working here. I was looking for an item that I had been to 2 other stores that day looking for and could not get an employees help to save my life. When I did find someone, he first tried to ignore me and then after I asked him if they had the product back stocked on the racks above (which they did), he quickly gave me a bullshit answer and tried to walk away to go back to stocking… Didn’t even try to help or look. Magically found the product on my own after.
Also, why are there never any cash registers open? There was even an employee standing by the self checkout telling people he had no idea how to use them and to wait for another employee… The people working here are lazy, rude and incompetent.

I returned an item several years ago, and was next in «line» when some dude reamed my ass because he thought he was next. I mean, he went on and on for 10 minutes in some meth-​induced rant.
The idiot clerk did not call security. He should have because I was being assaulted.
I called the manager and told him to watch the security tape, because this nut job should have been kicked out of the store.
So I go in there today to return an item. The returns section has been moved and is now combined with check-​out. A clerk tells me she will take my return over at another register where some dude is waiting to pay. So he starts to lay into me about cutting in front of him. Needless to say, I told him to go ahead of me because I did not want a repeat performance, but the clerk told him that she was doing a return and got huffy with me over my concerns.
I really hate this place. If I park over by Lucky’s, I have to walk to the far end to enter, bypassing all kinds of loading areas and trucks, and parking near the store is nearly impossible. Give me an ACE or Orchard Supply any day.
