History

Established in 2013.

Now open in downtown Palo Alto and San Carlos, Rangoon Ruby has two Wins ensuring authentic, Burmese cuisine. Chefs Win Aye and Win Tin, formerly of Burma Superstars, are jointly heading up the kitchen in Rangoon Ruby.

Our white tablecloths, classy décor, marble bar, and chandeliers provide a sophisticated setting for you to dine in. Our iPads and TV monitors tuned in to your favorite programs and sports channels enhance the experience to provide the luxury of dining in comfort and style with great entertainment.

Manager Tom Halligan helps keep everything running smoothly at Rangoon Ruby. His savvy business and leadership style keeps Rangoon Ruby going as the best Burmese restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area. He and his team are devoted to giving you the finest experience possible.

Owner John Lee was born and raised in Burma. Out of his passion and reminiscence for the delicious flavors from home, John started Rangoon Ruby in the San Francisco Bay Area, first in Palo Alto, then a second branch in San Carlos. With two superb chefs formerly of Burma Superstars, and a team of warm, hospitable servers, Rangoon Ruby is dedicated to providing a great dining experience to you.
