Total disregard for my time. They scheduled an appointment for me for pick up today between 8am-​10am and I asked for them to call me 30 minutes before arrival and they never showed up. I’d expect a phone call at the very least to apologize for being a no show. I should have read the other reviews who experienced the same thing before even wasting my damn time.

They were supposed to meet me today at 10:00 so I could get an estimate for some tree and leaf removal. I waited until 10:30 and called the office. They said – oh yes we have you down for 10:00. Would you like to reschedule later today or next week? Are you kidding me – I’ve been waiting – where is your guy – oh, he’s running late. How come no one called me? She says again – We can reschedule for later if you want.
So is anyone’s time important anymore? I would never use these guys and they were recommended by Burlingame Fire. Never, never use these guys. I await the owner to call me and respond. These guys can go **** themselves.

Needed to get quite bit of concrete in the patio and in front of the house to be broken and removed. Peninsula Hauling was a bit slow in delivering a written estimate, but once committed, despite an equipment problem, kept the schedule. Worked on Saturday.
Efficient, friendly and very neat. Took care not to destroy my tomatoes :-) and made sure that no damage was done to the surrounding hardscape.
Did a nice job cleaning up after the removal.

I am the facilities manager for a private school in Palo Alto and we hired Peninsula Hauling to replace 16 tons of play sand for us. They came out the same day and gave us a free estimate. They did the job on Saturday and brought in some large equipment. Not only did they finish the job in an amazing 3.5 hours but after they left you would have never known they were there. I found them to be very professional and courteous. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to another facility.

I used Penninsula Hauling to demolish my old 800 sqft house, detached two car garage, and clear four fruit trees, a fence and a driveway on my 7000 sqft lot in preparation for new construction. I was not sure I had made the right choice leading up to my demolition date, but I can’t imagine my now completed demolition going more smoothly than it did. They showed up at 8am, prepared for about an hour until 9am, and my lot was magically empty by 3 pm. They had one huge excavator and three GIGANTIC hauling trucks that circulated between the dump and my lot throughout the day. The entire neighborhood came and watched Chris, the entertaining foreman, run the show. Chris interacted with all of the kids and neighbors making it a fun day for an otherwise inherently loud and disruptive process. Jessica from the office is very friendly and did a thorough job helping me get my demolition permit from the town and arrange everything else needed for the demolition. I’m going to continue using Penninsula Hauling and Demolition for the remainder of my project.

I used Peninsula Hauling to demo a one bedroom apartment and they did an excellent job. They brought a large truck to dump all the waste in and five guys to do the work. They guys know what they are doing. They flew through the apartment and were out in less than a day. The place was swept clean and ready to remodel.
The next three apartments were to be demoed all at the same time, so I called Peninsula, but I just couldn’t get the price down to where I needed it. I shopped around and found another company to do the work. That was a mistake. The guys were not experienced, they worked incredibly slow, and damaged walls that I was planning to keep. When they left, there were still some nails and staples in the walls and floor.
Fast forward again, when I had to demo two more units. I knew Peninsula had to do the job. I needed it to be good clean job and needed it done fast. Peninsula did not disappoint. We negotiated some, but at the end of the day I paid a little more to have the job done right. They came on time with a huge truck and a back-​up truck if it got full. They were ready! 8 – 10 guys showed up and they demoed the two units in one day. The did an excellent job, and left the apartments super clean. No nails left over! Not only did they sweep, but they also vacuumed the place up. They also went above and beyond, by helping me move stuff out of the apartment and dumping a couple things that weren’t in the apartment.
The only suggestion I have for anyone demoing anything is to make sure you are there watching the whole time to make sure the right things get demoed. They had a few of questions on what’s to remain and what needs to go.

for someone to come over and give an estimate. Francisco showed up on time, seemed very nice and professional. He said
he’d have written estimate for me if not that night then the next day for sure.
Well, almost one month later nothing, called Jessica 5 – 6 times to inquire. She had
some kind of «good reason» for not getting
back every time and she would always promise that I should get an estimate that night, next day etc.
Yeah, right :(
If the job is not big enough or they are not interested for some other reason then they
should make it known and not waste my time

Brought them back for some junk hauling. Quick and efficient. It also helped that our junk was in a neat pile ready for them to toss into their truck.

0 stars if I could — called for a quote 3 times, eventually scheduled for next day, guy turned up ½hr late and was there maybe 5 minutes for a pretty large job involving structure demo and concrete, never received quote via email, called 3 times and eventually quote was emailed with a bunch of stuff missing, called 8 (EIGHT) times to get quote amended (left messages all but once when I got an actual person who promised to call me back), never heard anything back. TERRIBLE service and frankly I’m amazed they are even in business!!!

Worst experience! Was referred by a local contractor in Burlingame. This company Bid the Job on a Commercial BDLG we own… NEVER heard back from them? Countless phone calls and emails! Told us on 3 seperate occations the bid would be sent the same day? Never a word? Worst Customer Service I have ever seen in 30+ yrs in the business!
Better think twice about hiring these people and don’t be surprised when they «no show» or worse yet and leave you hanging half way thru the job!!!
Plenty of honest, ready to go companies out there that really want to keep there people working!!!

I contacted this company to get a quote for a large project ($ 20k+). Sent an email through their website and left two voicemails, but nobody ever got back to me.

I like to put a nice word for this company. They first sent a worker to do a onsite estimate, the same day I called them on the phone. The next day a crew arrived and clean up everything I asked them to and also left the garage floor and driveway spotless. The crew was polite and friendly, and my interaction with Chris on the phone was courteous and professional. The truck was full to the brim with, I believe, 17 yards of yard waste. Grand Total $ 400. By far, the most fair priced estimate I received for this job. Thank you!

Getting in touch with them is a long laborious process, not worth the effort.
First I used their chat feature on their web page, wasting a fair amount of time sharing my contact information and describing the job to be done. I was told I would be contacted that day. It never happened.
The next day I used their online form for requesting an estimate. Two days later I received a phone call from Jessica asking for more information about the job. I called back and the CSR told me that Jessica was on the phone. They took my name and number and told me Jessica would call back. Jessica didn’t call back.
I called again latter that afternoon. Once again Jessica wasn’t available to help me with my estimate or job information, so they took my name and number and said they would call me back. They haven’t.
I emailed another service, had an estimate the next day, and the job completed the day after that. Don’t bother with Peninsula Hauling.

I had Chris and crew come out and clear out a dilapidated back yard. They worked very quickly and professionally. They started at around nine in the morning and finished by 3 in the afternoon.
Great people to work with.

I used Peninsula Hauling for the second time today. The first time they hauled enough junk to fill a large truck. They came out quoted the job the crew was on site an hour later. No surprises on the price just as quoted. I even received a thank you letter with $ 200 in coupons.
Today I called this time the crew came quoted a price. They where nice clean and professional. When it came time I handed them a coupon and was done!!! NO EXTRA CHARGES. THEY DID THE JOB FOR FREE!!!
They were even kind enough to carry a large piece of furniture down the stairs and put it in the garage. Best service every!
