I’ve been going to Dr Julia Mason at New Life off and on since 2005 and they’re still the best! The office staff is friendly and professional and Dr Julia and Dr Janet are great. I highly recommend them to anyone with back pain.

I have know the Doctor’s of New Life Chiropractic for 7 years. First as Chiropractors, second as weight loss coaches & third as personal friends.
When I returned to the Bay Area & started working in HR they were our onsite Chiropractors taking care of 200+ employees in our Mtn. View HQ’s. They came to our office every week & took care of our staff with each personing leaving their office feeling better & with a big smile on their face. They personally took care of me for 5+ years and helped with a very painful lower back injury. With weekly sessions I was able to restore full functionality to my lower back & now am pain free!
During my years working with them they were always pleasant, upbeat & a true joy to be around. Their attention to detail, personal touch & gentle hands make for productive sessions & I always left knowing that we had truly connected not only as patient & Chiropractor, but also as friends. When I expressed concerned over my ballooning weight they listened & offered up the HcG diet as a possible solution. At first I was sceptical about how effective it would be but Dr. Julia was kind, patient & through in explaining everything to me. Dr. Julia personally has over seen my weight loss frequently checking in on me to see how I’m doing & offering words of encouragement when I’m feeling frustrated. The protocol has really worked for me & I have seen record weight loss which I couldn’t be more happy about.
I feel so grateful to have found the dynamic team of Dr. Julia & Dr. Janet. Thank you to both of you for all that you do not only for me but our community!

Janet is wonderful! I was insanely nervous to get adjusted, but so glad I finally got it done! She is calm and has a great sense of humor (both good qualities for a first timer and probably everyone else too). She even called to make sure I was okay and not too sore (I wasn’t at all!). She walks you through and explains what she’s doing so there are no surprises.
Can’t wait to get adjusted next week! :)

Love it, Dr. Julia Mason is wonderful. She listens, gives helpful advice and cares for her clients. Their staff is knowledgable, helpful and efficient… not always the case in an office setting. The office is always clean and welcoming.

I am a board certified lactation consultant in private practice and I work with so many families that struggle with breastfeeding. One of the most incredible things I learned about recently is Dr. Julia Mason and her ability to help newborns, infants, and children.
I’ve known about chiropractic treatment for years and have always been a huge fan, but I didn’t realize it would be helpful for little ones. Treatment for newborns is so subtle and GENTLE, there is no cracking or anything you’d typically associate with adjustments.
There are several families I’ve worked with over the past couple months who have had assisted deliveries (vacuum, forceps, planned or emergency cesarean sections) and also those who have had uncomplicated deliveries. Whatever the case may be, many of the babies were effected — they had preferences on turning their heads to the left or right, nursing in certain positions would cause them to arch back or unconsolably cry, tight jaw muscles, digestion issues, constipation, sleeping, colic, the list goes on.
I’ve been referring them to see Dr. Mason and I’m thrilled with the results! Babies are latching on better, mom is experiencing less pain and frustration with breastfeeding, and some moms have been going for some support to help get her post-​natal body feeling better as well!
I’m absolutely delighted to have found Dr. Mason and so are the families I work with. If you’re unsure about the process, consult with her and ask her questions. She’s got your baby’s needs (and yours) in her best interest.

I learned about this office when my regular chiropractor moved there temporarily while her office was getting remodeled. It was 3 years ago I was in pain and I was at my heaviest weight ever. I went to get an adjustment and to see if my chiropractor could help my knee pain (it probably hurt because I was so heavy) while I was there I was chatting with Jenny and Jonna (the two awesome girls at the front desk) and I was asking them about a sign in their office that said something like «Lose 15 – 20 Lbs» I wanted to get the scoop to see if this stuff really worked. Jenny was actually on it at the moment and had already lost about 15 pounds! She was so happy and excited when she was talking about it and Jonna also shared about her experiences and her weight loss, I was sold at that very moment.
Let me tell you a little about myself, I am one of those people that have tried EVERYTHING! I am constantly looking for that one diet that will actually work for me. There are many diets out there that work but are just so hard to maintain on a long term basis. This diet came to me at the perfect time before my wedding. I needed to look and feel fabulous in my wedding dress and Thank God this diet plan allowed that to happen!
This is not an easy magic pill diet. It is a commitment and it can be a bit hard at moments, especially around holidays or any major events involving food. I have done it several times now (being a happy newlywed its easy to get caught up in love and not worry about watching my food carefully) The thing that I love about the HCG diet is that its only 40 days that are strict (it can be done, its only 40 days!) and then the rest of the time the plan is something that you can easily manage in the real world. Dr Julia is awesome and totally held my hand (via text message) the first time around. She provided so much info, help, tips and overall support. I believe she played a major role in my success and the fact that it was over text was even better for me since I prefer it to actually getting on the phone or making an office visit. It was just so fast and easy to get a reply from her if I ever had a question about anything.
I am so happy that I found out about this diet it has changed my life! I am actually on my way over today because my best friend is getting married this year and I need to look great in my Maid of Honor dress :) I am ready for another HCG round! Thank you Dr Julia and Jonna you guys are the best!

I am new to the practice right as I walked in I felt welcomed. Both Dr. s are super friendly, make you laugh, most importantly make you feel relaxed. Glad I chose new life, I know I’m in good hands and my back has never felt this good. :D

Dr Mason really helped me with a couple issues during my pregnancy. I was hesitant to visit a chiropractor while pregnant but she has a very gentle touch and I always felt so much better after bring adjusted. 5 stars for Dr Mason.
I also had a prenatal massage there from Jen and I am sorry to say that it was terrible. It felt like she was trying to give me a deep tissue massage on my bones, and couldn’t tell the difference between a knot and a bone! I’m bruised today, and not in the hurts-​so-​good way. Disappointing because you would think the chiropractors would have vetted the massage therapists.

I have been going to New Life Chiropractic for almost a year and have nothing by good things to say about my experience here. Both Chiropractors Janet McCaffery and Julia Mason are wonderful and caring practitioners. They get to know you and listen to what you need in terms of your pain and health.
Recently I had excruciating neck pain during a weekend, I couldn’t turn my head and it hurt to do daily activities. I called Dr. McCaffery because she provides her cell phone number in case of emergencies and she was quick to help. She contacted my primary doctor, Julia Mason, who actually drove down on a Sunday morning from her home in San Francisco, to adjust my back and neck at their office. I was very thankful and felt better already by that evening.
I highly recommend both of these chiropractors. I, myself used Unilocal when I moved back home from college to look for a chiropractor and I’m glad I found New Life Chiropractic!

Janet McCaffrey and her staff are beyond amazing! They have completely changed my life. I have had neck and back problems since I was a child… She has transformed my body and I have little to no pain! Please visit them you will not regret it!!!

Janet is amazing. I had lack luster feelings towards chiropractors until now. I feel like a million bucks after each visit. Janet was also able to help my wife with her prenatal pains. The office has very good hours and they always been there for me when I need to walk-​in.

Julia is the absolute BEST! I started seeing Julia when I was 8 weeks pregnant. I continued to see her throughout my pregnancy because she made me feel so much relief! My daughter is now 10 weeks old and I have started to see her again because of postnatal back/​neck pain. She works wonders!

I was hesitant about seeing a chiro because I’ve had back surgery when I was a teen.
No worries here! Julia really helped me. I will always be grateful she saved me from a c/​s. I called her office in tears after by OB wanted to schedule me for a very painful procedure to flip my baby, ECV. She adjusted my hips to help flip my breech baby have room to turn head down. (I have a video of him flipping). She even met me at her office after dropping off her mom to SFO on her DAY OFF! This shows her dedication and care of her patients. Without her I would have had to have major surgery for a 2^nd baby (which are suppose to be easier births). I definitely was skeptical, but now I believe in chiro.
A bunch of my friends also go to her for their hip, neck, sciatica issues too.
I continue to see Julia for my SI and neck pain. She is always has time in her busy day to see me. Lately she’s been putting special therapy tape on my SI joint. WOW! It allows me to walk without any medication, which is a big deal being a mom of 2 small children and a business owner. Thank you Thank you Julia Mason!

I have been in need of a chiropractor and was recommended New Life Chiropractic. Really like the drs and rest of the staff. It’s great because you can schedule a massage with one of their massage therapists before an adjustment. Would highly recommend.

I used to have chronic migraines/​headaches until one day a coworker recommended me to New Life Chiropractic. I wasn’t sure what to expect since I have never been to a chiropractor. They made me feel comfortable from the get go and I’ve been a patient for almost three years now. I am a believer in how chiropractic care should be a part of everyday health. The staff is very friendly and professional, you never have to wait more than 5 minutes before you’re visited by either Dr. Mason or Dr. McCaffrey for treatment, the masseuses are know their craft well (I’ve only seen Denise and yes she’s good,) and every few months they have a Ladies Night (I haven’t’ attended one yet but plan to.)
Dr. Mason and Dr. McCaffrey are hands down WON-​DER-​FUL. They listen and take the time to get to know you, the patient and your body. They can look and touch your body in certain places and within a few minutes your body is at ease and you start to feel the pain decapitate. Awww… you feel normal again.
I started taking my son to a chiropractor closer to home (checked out a few) and New Life Chiropractic is a bar above the competition. I know that I will keep coming here for years to come.

I feel fortunate to have found Drs. Janet and Julia at New Life. The level of care far exceeds what one might expect from a visit to the chiropractor. It’s a pleasant environment with friendly, competent staff (Jonna). I have referred many friends and colleagues to their office and all have been satisfied customers. They are truly caring professionals.

The HCG weight loss plan was PERFECT for me! After years of South Beach-​type low carb, I was tired of not seeing the weight really drop. I needed to kick start it, so I decided to give this a shot. I lost 20 lbs in about 4 weeks and, after the first 2 – 3 days of the régime, I felt really amazing. [But warning: the first 2 days were really rough — to get through it I recommend LOTS of veggies — cucumbers, sweet peppers, celery… I ate them by the pound to fill up! Also, Shirataki noodles with tomato sauce and a few ounces of protein really helped.]
After the first few days though, I had GREAT energy throughout the day, and felt very healthy. I actually bounced out of bed every morning excited to weigh myself. It was so motivating to see the pounds literally melt off each day (well, most days… there were a few that were frustratingly flat/​high, but that’s just part of normal hormones, etc). I lost about 1 – 2 lbs per day for hte first few weeks, then it tapered off.
In addition to losing the weight, it was also great training for changing my eating habits overall — while I had been low-​carb for many years, I found lots of new good, low-​carb AND low-​cal ways to fill up and feel satisfied, and I still use those menus today in between more «normal» meals. Result: fast forward 3 months after, and I have not put the weight back on. I still follow a very low-​carb meal plan and have 10 – 15 lbs I would like to loose, but I am now at a healthy BMI (which is great) and I feel much more comfortable overall (clothes fit better, good energy, etc).
The hardest part of this diet is being really strict with your diet — cheating just doesn’t work, and it is very hard when you have an active social and family life. But, a month is really not a huge commitment for such a big change (at least to me).
Julia Mason is a terrific advocate — smart, funny and a great motivator/​babysitter :) Text messaging was our main form of communication, and I loved that because I don’t have time to go into an office for lots of chit-​chat — something that I struggled with when I did Jumpstart. So, a daily text was what we did and, a couple times, when I got «stuck» Julia had great ideas/​recommendations to get me through it. She kept me honest by checking in by text each day — knowing that someone was paying attention motivated me to stay as disciplined as possible.
Overall, it’s a commitment but was worth it to me and I highly recommend it.

Being greeted by my first name every time I walk in make me feel welcome. The staff is friendly and the office is clean (they even had fruit in the waiting room). The doctor’s willingness to listen to every ache and issue makes the adjustment that much better. They take their time, resulting in a more relaxed appointment. New Life Chiropractic is amazing definitely worth a visit!

I could not live without this chiropractic therapy. Pain pills made it worse. This natural treatment is one of the only ways to get relief from daily pain with no drugs! They have specialized tables, no twisting around, just lay on the table and half the tension is gone and more movement too. I highly recommend this wonderful place. These ladies are talented healers.

I have many joint issues that have caused me angst for years. The first time I was treated at New Life Chiropractic, I finally felt that I was in the right place… Dr Julia Mason and Dr Janet McCaffrey are just wonderful and know how to listen and treat you with amazing care.
