Landon Universal Pool Center

My mom and I have been using Landon for our pool service needs for over twenty years. Not only are they a small honest family owed company, their prices are very reasonable. One down side is that they do not accept checks, but because we have created a report with Landon, he bills us in the mail. I am a very big advocate on supporting small business owners. I love the service they provide, and they are always available to assist me in my pools needs.

These wonderful stores just rarely exist anymore. The owner is amazing and is just a fountain of information. Most mom and pop shops have been run out of business by Wallmart, etc. so this town is fortunate enough to have him. He has been in business for 50 years or more. The place isn’t pretty, but it’s his knowledge that is important, not what his shop looks like.

DO NOT use these guys to maintain your pool! They charged us an outrageous bill and did not even do the work! They are crooks and difficult to work with! We got a second opinion on the outrageous invoice they made us pay and the other pool company said they did not do the work they charged us for and basically ripped us off! We now need to have another company come and do the work they said they were going to do and pay for it AGAIN! We are so pissed off for trusting these guys! Don’t make the same mistake! I wish I could give them 0 stars!

We buy all of our pool supplies from this hole in the wall family business. I love it. The owner is a wealth of information and provides me with leads even if he doesn’t have what I’m looking for.
They don’t take credit cards, so bring cash or checks. The store interior isn’t slick or fancy at all like Leslie Pool, but I’m not so high brow myself, so this place works for me. I like that the same guy is always there and knows me; he helps me figure out whatever I need, and he loads up my car for me.
They also have pool repair service, which we haven’t needed to use yet. My husband has done all of our pool maintenance and upkeep so far. When we’ve needed repairs, we’ve brought parts in for replacement.
This seems like an old-​fashioned store and I hope it sticks around for a long time.
