Junk King was established by two peninsula entrepreneurs who saw the need to offer eco-​friendly junk removal services to the Bay Area. The idea was to offer services to homes and businesses that didn’t have the time or resources to remove unwanted garbage on their own, and recycle it whenever and wherever possible. Junk King now has more than 40 locally owned franchises nationwide!

Starting in 2005, our company’s founders, Mike Andreacchi and Brian Reardon, knew there were customers looking for a dependable junk hauling service to clear clutter and unwanted items from homes and businesses. The two long-​time friends founded Junk King and established a business in their garage.

Since then the company has grown rapidly, but the superior service and attention to detail that made them stand out, has remained the same.

«Working in the industry, I just couldn’t help but see various needs that weren’t being met and service that was not being handled with the customer in mind,» explains Junk King co-​founder Michael Andreacchi. «Once we had our first truck, we started hauling junk for friends and family while working out of our garage. Now we have an office in San Carlos with multiple trucks servicing San Mateo County.

Long live the King! Had an old dishwasher that needed to be junked — hence the call to the King. The staff came on time, were pleasant and professional and did;t complain about the stairs. In an out and 20 minutes — wish all my deliveries and haul-​aways were as nice! Will definitely recommend.

Your guys were great. Fast, efficient, friendly. Would definitely hire again (and this was my 3rd time already.) Note: It would help you out if you had a place on your reservation screen to describe the job the client is requesting. That way your guys wouldn’t be surprised when they find they have to physically move a boatload of dirt and concrete. I had tools to help make that work but not everyone will.

Junk King was a god-​send. I had to clear out a relative’s stuffed apartment in only a few days and they swooped in and did it. They stay in touch by phone. They call and let you know what time they will arrive. They even called earlier in the day to say they would be toward the later side of the time frame the office gave me. The people in the office were very organized and easy to deal with. The three man team was very polite, super efficient, and the price was fair. I have told lots of other people about Junk King. Great operation.

Operationally super efficient. You call, they quote, you schedule an apt.
They call 20 min before they arrive too which is great.
The estimate was a bit off however. Was quoted $ 180 for two couches but added a medium book shelf which sky rocketed the price to an unexpected $ 400. Wasn’t too pleased about that.
The guys that showed up were pretty mellow and friendly. The entire job was done in under 30 minutes.
I’ll use again for sure but only after I see if there are most cost efficient methods available.

i made an appt for 10−12pm and the 3 guys came right on time. figure out how to take my broken dryer away. very polite. cleaned up afterwards. easy. less than 15 minutes and they were done. will use again and will recommend.

A rapid reply to my request brought three strong, competent young men to my aid in removing a lot of junk and dismantling a storage shed. They were quick, competent and fun to work with! Definitely money well spent!

The guys were extremely efficient in removing my mother’s couch. It was definitely a two-​man job. I wasn’t able to remove my mom’s couch, not even with the help of my husband. Good thing I saw Junk King in the Outer Richmond removing pieces of junk from someone’s garage, and I asked the guy for a business card. He kindly handed me a card and advised I call the toll-​free number to make an appointment for my mom. The removal of my mom’s couch took less than 30 minutes, just in the nick of time for her new couch to arrive.
Everything worked out perfectly. Thank you Junk King for being prompt and making space for my mom’s new couch. The cost was $ 99, less than 1−800-Got-Junk, as their fees were outrageous. My mom tipped the guys and off they went to their next job.
Highly recommended. I will definitely use them for all future junk removal. A job well done indeed!

Excellent service. The guys were very polite, efficient, thorough, quick, and reliable. Have used other junk removal services before from competitor but Junk King is superior in the lesser cost for the amount of junk you can have removed due to their much larger trucks. I called them really last minute… The price was quoted for a big couch a love seat and a bet. It was around 300. That was way over my budget so I declined. The lady on the phone said let me see if I can lower it. She took my number and name and called me back two minutes later and said she got me a lower price. It was set for the next day between 5:30 and 7 pm. Tiger called me around 4:30 asking me if they can come and told me they were in my area. I was about 25 minutes away because of traffic. Tiger said they could wait. I got there and they weren’t upset it took me awhile they were nice friends and fast. They were very professional. I recommend this company because they go out of their way to help their customer. I’m not sure what the man working with tiger was but them two did it all! Thank you guys for making my move easier!!! Y’all are the best!!!

Friendly customer service when I called to inquire about their service. Made it quick and easy to set up an appt. for free estimate.
Driver called ahead when on his way and was on time. Price quoted was per amount of space taken up in truck and seemed very reasonable. I would have cost me a lot more to order a debris box and do all the filling up box myself. Driver was ready to take my junk right then and within 10min he had it all loaded up. What a great experience! I will definitely use Junk King again.

They communicated a precise time of when exactly to expect them. The 3 man crew were prompt, courteous, and clean. They respected my home when hauling things outside, and did not make any complaints or comments about anything that I was asking them to remove. They also did not complain that there are two sets of steps leading up to my home, which makes moving things more difficult.
They communicated with me on an ongoing basis to make sure that they were taking out things that I wanted taken out, and leaving the things that should be left. I would definitely recommend Junk King at this location.

Excellent service and very reasonable rate! I am renting out my home, and needed to clean out unfinished basement (dirt, spiders, yuck) of stuff I had under there for the past 10 years.
Junk king showed up, on time, with only 24 hours notice, and send three guys who all were native English speaking workers!!! Love that.
As much as I hated to get rid of alot of stuff, I feel cleansed having an empty basement space for new tenants.
I tipped each guy 20 bucks, for being so great to work with. They were very surprised and grateful.
Overall great service, great fare prices.
