Durham School Services

Durham’s operation in San Carlos is a blight on the community! They are abusing both public and private parking for their bus storage, and the problem is getting steadily worse. This morning one of their buses and a bus driver’s car are blocking a fire hydrant on Commercial Street. Around the corner on Industrial, one small bus is parked in the middle of two parking spaces, hogging them both. That’s plain rude. Folks from my office (on this corner) have called many times and are usually blown off.
We usually only call when their drivers park in our designated spots in a private lot or block our driveway (both frequent occurrences). We are about to begin a campaign of reporting violations to the Sheriff’s Office for ticketing and towing illegally parked vehicles. We are also photo-​documenting their constant violations. Fair warning!

This review deals with the owners who have no consideration for businesses in the area. There is over 10 buses parked daily on our street, Commercial. They should not be given a business license if they can not accommodate parking for their vehicles…

I couldn’t agree more with Mabel’s review. I’ve had exactly the same problem. In fact, we have called the company several times about the same bus. They apologize and promise it will never happen again. Two weeks later we have the same problem. These people simply do not care.

The Durham School Services I presume includes the school buses that are parked all over San Carlos’ streets. This Company cannot possibly care about its customers as it certainly does not care about where they park their buses. They park in front of residential homes, businesses whever they stop. They have no consideration as to how it affects a business or resident which uses the street parking for their customers or residents. Even after being asked over and over not to do this they just continue to not care. If you do not have enough parking for your buses, make arrangements somewhere where it will not be detrimental to other people. maybe rent parking somewhere.
