David Young was a life saver for me and my wife. We had the unpleasant task of selling my mother’s house in Saratoga after she passed away. Her house was an hour away from where we lived and was full of furniture, clothes, and personal effects. We had a relatively narrow window of time to get the house sold, so we hired a local broker and set about going through the mountain of personal belongings in her 3500 square foot home. After five or six weekends of working to clear and prep the house, it became apparent that our progress was painfully slow and more difficult than we expected. We were overwhelmed and our window of opportunity was evaporating. All the while our broker twiddled his thumbs and waited.

On a recommendation from a friend, I contacted David and explained our situation. Despite the fact that Saratoga might be geographically outside his normal area on the peninsula, he met us at the house right away. He informed us that he had the team and the know how to take care of everything including the contents of the house and get it on the market quickly. What a relief to walk away. We fired our existing broker and handed it over to David.

The pace of transformation was remarkable. He immediately had the property inspected and sent contractors to make minor repairs. A team came out to separate and categorize the furniture and other items remaining in the house. Some was donated to charity, some was thrown out, and he organized an estate sale to take place at the house. He provided us with records and proceeds, and had the house staged. Within a little more than two weeks of hiring David, we were entertaining multiple offers and closing the deal to sell the house. And of course, we were patting ourselves on the back for our decision to list the house with David Young.

We were looking for a house in San Carlos, and learned that the housing market in this area was extremely competitive due to great school district. While working with our previous realtor, we found ourselves outbid 4 times in this area over 1-​year period. We wanted our son to start his kindergarten year in a San Carlos School in September.
