History

Established in 1880.

Started in 1880 as a «rug cleaning and beating» company. Original Conklin Bros. passed on in 1906 and the Emmons family took over and later expanded to 9 stores in the northern California area.

This branch was started in San Mateo in 1947 and moved to San Carlos in 2001.

Our store is well known for excellence in customer service and superior floor covering installation. We cater to a variety of commercial clients including hotels, restaurants, hospitals, universities, schools, churches etc. We focus on customer service as the only way to sustain our reputation and increase our business. We are proud to be able to live up to our motto: You can count on us, people have since 1880.
