I wish Unilocal had the option of giving more stars because DJ Vadim deserves WAY more than 5! My husband’s brother hired DJ Vadim for our wedding in Pasadena, CA. I was skeptical about having a DJ since I have never met a DJ that blew me away — that is until DJ Vadim. His work was flawless and on point. My husband and I told him the kind of music that we were looking for in terms of the ceremony, cocktail hour and what we liked listening to as well as some music that our guests would dance to for the reception. He did an AMAZING job the whole time! My guests could not stop talking about DJ Vadim and just what a marvelous job he did! I cannot agree more with the other excellent reviews he has! I will definitley be recommending him to anyone and everyone as well as using him again in the future.

One year later, our wedding guests are still talking about one thing: from the moment the music started until the very last song, EVERY SINGLE PERSON at our wedding was on the dance floor. No kidding! Our parents, their friends, our friends — even complete strangers trying to crash our wedding wanted to get on the dance floor. That’s because Vadim and his team were AMAZING!
We interviewed several DJs before selecting Vadim. And right away we could tell Vadim was different. He shared with us sample mixes of his work and they were awesome — long format (50+ minutes) so you got a sense of how he mixed, totally different styles of music so you could hear his diversity, and just really great mixes. The kind you listen to over and over.
Vadim was also really on top of all of the details around our event: music and equipment at our ceremony that included an acoustic performance and pre-​recorded music, the crazy sound restrictions at our reception location (an outdoor venue with neighbors nearby), and the specifics of the set-​ups at each of the two locations. He knew our «must-​plays» and «don’t plays» and he knew our taste.
On the day of the event, he worked seamlessly with our wedding coordinator and checked in with us to make sure we were all on the same page. Cocktail hour music? Spot on — helped set the ambiance and was in the background without interfering with conversation. First dance? Perfect! Flowed right into the father-​daughter dances (my wife and I each danced one with our dads) went off without a hitch! Dinner music? Again, set the right balance of interesting music in the background but not competing with conversation. And then, true magic: Vadim got everyone to the dance floor to get the party started and he kept going until the end!
There are not enough stars on Unilocal to give to Vadim — he is head and shoulders above the rest and if you are lucky enough to book him for your event, your wedding will have everyone talking for years to come!

I first met DJ Vadim when he spun at a friend’s 21^st birthday party (I’m 30+). DJ Vadim knew his audience and was able to weave Top 40s to the 90s to funk. 200 people were in attendance and everyone DANCED and had fun. He was on point with 90s music so…
I SOUGHT OUT DJ VADIM for my 90s-​THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY/​FUNDRAISER
DJ Vadim went deep into the 90s and was able to get those oldies, but goodies that we all love but forgot. He knows his music history and is able to blend the songs in a way that keeps the party going. For this particular event, I had about 100 people and EVERYONE loved the music DJ Vadim played.

DJ Vadim was able to work with me as the MC. He is observant and is able to see how the program shifts and adapt to the vibe. He understands his audience, demographic and is able to play the songs that cater to who is in attendance.
WEDDING
DJ Vadim’s wedding package is amazing. Having worked with DJ Vadim before, I immediately wanted to utilize his service for my younger brother’s wedding. He offered music recording for the couple and provided sound equipment.
PROFESSIONAL RECEPTION
I recommended DJ Vadim for a dignitary reception at a well-​known restaurant in San Francisco. He was hired for the event right away and was able to play suitable music and help the MC with getting the crowd’s attention. This was a A-​lister event and DJ Vadim did an amazing job, again.

Vadim is fabulous! We hired him for our wedding last month and he was perfect for the job. From the beginning he was responsive and helpful. He was so receptive to our music inputs. We hired DJ Vadim for our wedding in a kind of remote location in South Lake Tahoe in May 2015. He was the best! We loved his wedding DJ philosophy (nothing cheesy!) and he kept the dance floor packed the entire evening. He also played awesome dinner time music and was super good about transitioning between toasts and music. He also recorded the wedding toasts and gave us the files promptly after the wedding. Basically we only have good things to say about him and you should definitely hire him for your wedding!

I’m not sure how my now husband found DJ Vadim Vozmitsel, but what a find! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding day! There was absolutely nothing cheesy about it as you might think of when you think of wedding reception DJs. In fact, we were encouraged by our venue to go with a local agency that knows the venue and that everyone seems to use, but their DJs just seemed kind of… cheesy. Vadim was AMAZING! Let me break it down for you:
We are both not the biggest planners, and we had every intention of making a playlist or at least a list of songs but of course, this never happened. In fact we put it off until the wedding day, at which point my cousin hurriedly wrote down the songs my parents wanted played and I think my husbands’ parents also gave him a list on the day of. I don’t think we asked for that many specific songs to be played but rather a general mood for dinner and then a couple specific songs for dancing. DJ Vadim, obviously did not even need a playlist to work with. He took the little information we gave him, and he nailed it! We walked into the reception (never having met Vadim until right then) and the mood was incredible, with Frank Sinatra playing and everybody mingling and in a great mood. Dinner music was perfect.
Vadim didn’t do anything awkward like make us try to be funny on the spot or do any bridal party introductions, which was perfect for our personality. He set the mood perfectly for toasts and for our first dance, etc.
Finally, the moment dinner was over and the first song came on, EVERYBODY hopped up from their seats and hit the dance floor! And I did NOT think people were going to dance much. I’ve been to other weddings where it’s basically just hardcore hip hop music and only the «young folk» dance and it’s just awkward because everyone else is just kind of watching from the sides, or even has to leave because the music’s too loud. Not the case with Vadim at all. The beginning half of the dancing music was PERFECT for everybody, all ages were out on the dance floor having a ball. Even people who didn’t know each other till that evening were dancing together. And Vadim mixed all his own music so it flowed wonderfully and matched the vibe of the room. The second half of the dancing music got into the more modern, electro type music which me and my husband and our friends really like but is a little riskier for the older generation. That was not even an issue — everyone was still dancing and mingling and I think it’s because Vadim mixed the music to be less EDM-​y and more enjoyable and danceable for everyone. It was perfect and I want a mix CD!
We had a couple other random cultural things happen that Vadim facilitated with our parents the day of, unbeknownst to us, which were received really really well by all. Everywhere I looked, people were having a blast either dancing or drinking or having great conversations and I think Vadim was a huge part of that.

Honestly, this Dj sucks. I went to one of his performances and it was probably the worst I’ve been to in my life.
Not good music, the atmosphere was weird, everything was bad! I will never go to this guy’s events again, they are no good.

My husband and I, as well as a majority of our friends, were club goers and loved to dance. We wanted that same fun vibe at our wedding and ended up booking Vadim through DJ Jeremy Productions. This team truly does not disappoint. Jeremy and Vadim were a pleasure to work with from the very beginning.
We gave Vadim some genres we wanted to be played to get people on the dance floor and keep them there. He did a kick-​ass job of mixing top 40 and 80’s hits that kept the dance floor PACKED all night! The tables were empty because everyone was on the dance floor. Also, I mentioned to him that I absolutely LOVE Michael Jackson and so I was ecstatic to hear MJ throughout the night :) Our wedding would not have been nearly as fun as it was without Vadim!

DJ Vadim rocked it out for one of the most amazing celebrations of our lives, our wedding party! We shared with him our list of DO NOT PLAY and he did that. We shared with him our likes and he played them and then some. He read the crowd well and knew how to bring people back to the dance floor. We had the opportunity to work with DJ Vadim for our wedding in April 2011. It was a great experience all around. He is very talented, professional, and kind. DJ Vadim is hands down the best DJ you can find for your wedding. He DJed at my wedding in the Bay Area in 2011. So many people came up to me both during the wedding and after the wedding telling me he was the best. In fact, we still talk about what a great DJ he is, nearly four years later.
I like that he is young and cool, but also super professional. He stuck to the timeline we gave him, provided his own equipment, and most importantly kept the dance floor packed all night. Everyone, old and young alike, danced the whole night! Even the photographer had to take a dance break! People did not want to leave!
He is like a good club DJ, but for your wedding. If I ever have a big party again, I will definitely hire him. His playlist is topical and he certainly reads the crowd. Definitely the best DJ I have ever encountered!

We had Vadim DJ our wedding almost 2 years ago and he was AMAZING!!! We had requested an interesting mix of 90’s R & B, Spanish, techno, pop and oldies… and he nailed it! The dance floor was packed all night! We got feedback from our guests that every time they walked off the dance floor to take a little break, Vadim played «their jam» and they had to go back out! He did a fantastic job of mixing songs and his transitions were seamless.
He was also very conscious of the (very specific) timeline we had given him and was very intuitive and observant… I remember one time I was thinking to myself that it would be the perfect time to start the next thing (toasts or whatever) and I looked over at him and he read my mind!
We only wish that we had another event soon that we could have Vadim DJ because we had such a blast at our wedding, we want to do it all over again! We would recommend Vadim to anyone and everyone!

We hired DJ Vadim for our September 2012 wedding in San Francisco and had no regrets. Our goal was to keep the music pumping and people dancing during the reception. With our «do not play» and favorite song requests provided to him ahead of time, Vadim delivered an endless evening of fun and dancing. We still have heard from friends that we had a great dance party on top of an amazing wedding. People literally did not leave the dance floor!
Vadim was on time and set-​up two AV areas at our reception venue: one area for music and speeches during dinner and another location for his DJ equipment for the dance party. He even provided the synchronized lights for the dance floor. He also provided minor MC announcements during dinner, which we requested.
At the last minute, we also requested that Vadim record the wedding speeches during dinner since people were using a microphone provided by him. (NOTE: We really did not want a videographer at our wedding.) A few weeks later Vadim emailed them to us. He captured every gasp, awe and laugh during our best man’s speech. It was truly an unexpected pleasure rehearing that moment!

I am posting this from my 2011 wedding. What I did not include in original post was that my wedding party could not find a traditional dress I was supposed to change into so there were like 10 people running around searching for it – INCLUDING DJ VADIM! Not even my wedding planner was involved. Not only does he rock the house with his music, he is truly concerned for his clients!

I just had my wedding on June 18^th and engaged DJ Vadim. Money well spent. The music was appropriate during dinner and AFTER dinner. DJ Vadim kept the dance floor full with his mix of music and many, many guests complimented on the awesome party vibe! This was all due to DJ Vadim’s skills and talent.
There were some things that were blah and went terribly wrong throughout my wedding day, but DJ Vadim brought back the excitment and energy which ended on a high note and I truly appreciated it! If you want references, contact me!

DJ Vadim is amazing! Our wedding was truly an epic dance party and everyone continues to compliment us on his skills. He was easy to work with, played everything we wanted seamlessly, and was cool about special requests that night. He knows how to make a crowd happy and I could not recommend him more!

We booked DJ Vadim for our wedding reception a couple years ago in San Francisco– We knew music was going to be a priority for us so although we had a super budget wedding, we splurged for the DJ. Vadim was worth every penny. We first heard him spin at a club in SF and met with him in the weeks after to discuss our music taste and vision for our setlist. He is such a nice, down to earth, professional, yet approachable guy. We felt instantly comfortable with him. He has a wide knowledge of music and will play exactly what you want (and won’t play what you don’t want!). And importantly, he wasn’t judge-​y about any type of musical taste.
A few weeks before our wedding we gave Vadim a pretty lengthy list of songs– first dances, cocktail hour, must-​play dance songs and he pretty much did exactly what we asked for and more. He’s really good at transitioning from one song to another and he knows what parts of songs to skip, etc. I can say with 100% zero exaggeration that our dance floor was packed the entire night.
Having been to a bunch of weddings since my own, I can attest that a bad DJ will ruin a perfectly good wedding. You don’t want to mess around with the one thing that everyone will remember– no one will remember their bland chicken or overcooked steak– but they will remember if they danced all night and had a blast or they sat around awkwardly for 3 hours. Hiring Vadim will be the best decision you make in the many decisions that go into your special event.
I could go on forever, but I don’t need to– this guy is not a cheesy wedding DJ. He is cool and talented and an absolute pleasure to work with. Read all the wedding websites– they say the one thing not to skimp on is the music. Go with DJ Vadim and you will not regret it!

Dj Vadim was recommended to us by another DJ and he was TOTALLY WORTH IT! We’ve used him two years in a row now for a private club event that is family oriented. All we had to do was tell Vadim who our clientele was and he knew exactly what to do and we never had to worry about anything on the entertainment front. Our members rave every year about the music.

I don’t have time to write a review, come on. I’m a busy guy.
But when Vadim followed up just now to give him some feedback, I dropped everything to get to Unilocal and write this. Honestly, I don’t even remember most of the people involved in our wedding, but I sure remember Vadim.
Why? Because he’s not just a good DJ. He was an *ideal* wedding DJ for us and I’m down to make your life easier by recommending that you book him.
Great music, check. Paid close attention to the crowd, check. Took weird requests from the bride, check. Turned down too-​weird requests from the drunk uncle in a way that still left him feeling good, check.
I don’t know how many DJs can do that, but I figure that’s just the ante. Where Vadim rises head and shoulders above is in being *easy to work with.*
Booking was straightforward. Playlists were easy. He was proactive but gentle. I don’t even remember him setting up on the day of. Everything was smooth and easy and great. If only everyone else were that professional and easy, that day would have been even better.
It’s your Big Day, and as joy-​filled as it is, it’s also a big freakin’ project with a lot of potential for stress. Everyone involved either makes things easier or makes things harder. Vadim was so far over on the «makes things easier» side of the line that the idea of «giving him feedback» seems silly. He’s just awesome.
(I should probably apologize to Vadim, because this review is probably going to get filtered. I have a biz and great reviews are always filtered, it seems. But screw it: this is my honest opinion.)

People still talk about how epic the dance party was at our wedding. We had guests of all ages and my husband and I were pretty picky about our music selection. We had two calls with Vadim ahead of time where we explained what kind of music we were into and gave him a list of songs that were must play and a list of songs that we didn’t want to hear. That’s all it took and he put together an incredible set that kept people dancing all night. We finally had to shut things down at 2am and I think people would have kept dancing if they had the option. Even some of the older people were dancing well past midnight! He also did a flawless job with the sound during the ceremony, speeches, and dances.
When it came to planning the wedding, the music was one of the most important elements to my husband and I. Looking back, we both felt like the music Vadim played was totally reflective of our tastes and the music we love, while still keeping the rest of the crowd engaged and ready to dance. The next opportunity we have to throw a blow out party, Vadim would be the first call.

Let’s be honest, wedding ceremonies are very personal and meaningful for the bride, the groom and their very immediate family. That’s pretty much it… For everyone else (the vast majority of attendees), a wedding is a great excuse to party. I pretty much had one job, and that was to handle the music. Choosing to work with DJ Vadim made me seem like a genius!
He was so easy to work with that it took a ton of pressure off of us. From the ceremony to the cocktail hour to the reception, Vadim handled everything like the professional that he is. He took our suggestions and offered some great ones of his own. During cocktail hour and dinner he kept it perfectly mellow. And then he basically blew the roof off of the reception.
Everyone got down — from the kids to the grandparents — and the late night partiers could not have been happier. We were married at the Clift Hotel in SF and (no joke) it was such a dance party that groups from the Redwood Room bar were trying to crash it.
Nearly 3 years later and we still get compliments about our reception. Choose DJ Vadim and YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY!!!

We booked DJ Vadim for our wedding and he exceeded all expectations! Working with him was the least stressful of all the vendors that we used. We honestly only needed to communicate with him over e-​mail a couple of times, it was so easy. A few weeks before the wedding, he provided us a form where we listed the major songs (intro, first dance, father-​daughter dance, and cake cutting), a few must-​haves for the reception, our general taste in music, and a schedule of the reception. He took it from there and incorporated all of our requests seamlessly. He showed up on time and was completely professional. All of our guests were raving about our DJ from the wedding and some of my friends mention the music as being one of the highlights from our wedding.
After attending several weddings after ours, we found the DJs at other weddings to be uninspiring and lacked the mixing genius that Vadim had.
I can’t recommend DJ Vadim enough!

DJ Vadim played at our wedding and he was awesome. We did our entire booking exclusively via email; he was responsive, helpful, and professional. Two weeks before the wedding I sent a request list and DJ Vadim showed up and kicked AS*. We did not need to worry about a single thing. It was like having our own, personal club for the night. DJ Vadim is a consummate professional and we partied all night.

We worked with Vadim when he was with a previous company and are excited to hear that he’s branched out on his own because he was great to work with.
My wife and I spoke with a number of DJs for our wedding a few years ago and none of them came close to Vadim’s professionalism. He was right on time and set up with no problems and managed to keep the dance floor packed all night despite a tight schedule.

My husband and I had Vadim at our wedding, and he was AMAZING. All of our guests raved about the music, and we couldn’t have been happier — and this is from self-​named music snobs and a former raver (me). Vadim seamlessly wove in all of our requests with really good music that we would’ve requested had we thought of it, and steered clear of all the usual cheesy stuff that’s played at weddings.
If you want a wedding DJ that will try to get everyone to do the Macarena or goad the crowd into party games… do not call here. If you want a real, legit DJ who sounds like someone you’d hear in a club but who also picks music that’s inclusive and welcoming to everyone in your crowd, call Vadim.
On top of that, he was on time, prepared, über-​professional, and quick to respond to emails… plus he has a good sense of humor, which is key when you have a room full of improv comedians.

Vadim is a responsive, professional, nice-​as-​all-​hell, seriously talented DJ.
I’m not a DJ, but I respect them immensely. I imagine weddings are one of the hardest gigs for a DJ because the «crowd» is so diverse (name me one club where 3-​year-​olds share the dance floor with septuagenarians and… well… I’ll go to that club because it sounds fun & funky). Point is, there are a lot of tastes at a wedding and while I’m sure it’s the DJ’s goal to please the bride and groom above all else, we’re not the only people dancing. Vadim handled the music selection at our wedding perfectly. He started with the classics (if you don’t like Michael Jackson you’re not human) and as the night progressed he moved into the more aggressive, electronic dance music. It was a flawless transition.
My wife and I weren’t keen to have too many slow songs /​ballads (if any). We wanted to keep the energy high, but we understood that sometimes it’s smart to slow it down so people can catch their breath. Vadim handled this challenge like a champ. If the crowd needed a break, he delivered it. If the crowd wanted to get rowdy, he was happy to oblige.
I asked Vadim to avoid all of the standard wedding songs (YMCA, Shout, Mambo #5 Conga) and he did. No disrespect to the people who enjoy these tunes, it’s just not us and Vadmin honored the request.
On top of it all he seems to really enjoy the job. There’s nothing better than a DJ who has a stellar sound system, a firm grasp of all music, a connection to the crowd and a smiling face through the whole performance. Highly recommended. You won’t be disappointed.
