S&R Services really did a great job serving a bank levy for me, making it a stress-​free and Vicky really went out of her way to make sure that I understood the process. Everything was quickly and accurately done. I strongly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them in the future.

I just want to take a moment to share to others the very positive experience I have had with S&R Services. I could not believe the great experience and all that I got for what seemed like a minimum cost. All staff members are friendly and helpful. Communication and customer service are excellent. And our client was served. I would not hesitate to work with this company again!

Unfortunately the debtors declared bankruptcy before any papers could be filed, but if I ever need service in the bay area, Vicky has won me over.

I paid this firm to serve a complaint. One of their process servers allegedly served the complaint and filed a proof of service with the court. At the court hearing, the defendant did not appear and a default judgment was entered. When the defendant was mailed a copy of the judgment, he filed a successful motion to vacate with the court, the judge agreeing that the service of process was not valid. The judge was so concerned he took the extraordinary step of subpoeanaing S&R’s process service to appear before the court and explain himself. At the next appearance, the judge told S&R’s process server, «I’ve seen so many problematic services of process with your name on them, I’ve started calling them ‘[S&R Process Server’s Name] cases’ and am immediately suspicious.» He then took time from our case to dress down the S&R process server about a different case where that process server claimed to have served a person, but that person later proved to the judge she was out of the country and couldn’t have been served! The judge then explained to the S&R process server how to do his job properly. I am still out the money I paid to these fraudsters however. If you need papers served, go somewhere else.

I am so glad I searched online and found excellent and affordable service! My first time ever needing this type of service. I was Leary after the 3^rd attempt, when reading some of the reviews but they were very persistent and in the fourth attempt established contact! I thought this process was going to be dreadful, it was the total opposite. Thank you

I spoke to Tanya, Sylvia and Tiffany at the Headquarters in San Bruno and they were all unprofessional. They attempted to give me legal advice regarding the time to serve when I had already received a notice from the court! After that I chose to go elsewhere. Don’t expect proper service with such unprofessional staff.

I had been sued and needed a copy of the complaint which was in some court records. I placed a call to S&R services and was treated like a friend from the outset. They directed me to the Court Internet site which would be free they said. I tried it and was unsuccessful in retrieving what I needed, so I called them back and requested their services. They not only emailed the correct documents within 6 hours, but took the mental load off of me. I am going to recommend them with full endorsement to Attorneys and any other businesses that find themselves in the troubled waters that I was in.
They are top notch in communication and personal concern for you as a customer. They get an A+ on all measurements.

Had a hearing scheduled for today. Called the S&R Services office last Friday morning, August 8, 2014. A lady in San Bruno answered. I told her the situation, and she asked me to drop off the documents at their San Francisco address on Potrero Hill, which is a Regus shared office space. The gentleman at the desk said to fill out a form, which I did, and someone would call me. Well… Tanya from S&R Services finally just called me and berated me for not checking off the «rush» box on the form, so it got ignored. The hearing had to be postponed – huge waste of everyone’s time.

I question whether their low rates are to just to get you committed and then charge more for «extra attempts «.
I had a very simple small claims filing and needed the papers served to the defendant. I dropped off the papers and paid the fee to S&R. Twelve days later the service was not completed. I had to call multiple times to get updates, they claimed that they would return my calls on the same day but not a single time did they ever return my call. The only way I was able to get updates was to stay on the phone and insist they give me information immediately. My experience with this company is that they will not follow up with you, you must call them to get updates.
They use contractors (not employees), to do the actual attempts at service. They claim to have attempted to serve the defendant on 5 separate occasions and at different times during the day and night. It’s a bit unbelievable to attempt service 5 times at a residence, with children and adults living there, and not be able to make contact.
When I dropped by to get my original paperwork, they asked me to pay an additional fee for more attempts. I politely declined as I did not believe the original 5 attempts were done in good faith. If anyone fails at doing their job 5 times in a row, why would you keep giving them money to continue to fail?
I wonder how many others felt trapped into paying the extra fee ($ 25) since the original fee ($ 55) for the first five attempts is non-​refundable.
I just forfeit the original fee to get my paperwork back and hired another service to get the job done.
I felt the need for the review due to the lack of communication, lack of follow-​up/​return calls, and lack of results to get the job done for the price they advertised.

Office staff is rude and unprofessional.
I placed an order on Tuesday morning with no action taken by Friday morning.
When I called up for an update they told me they would get back to me next week.
I pressed, saying that was unacceptable (outside of claimed 72 hour window) and was transferred to a rude lady who would not let me talk.
She got details of my order wrong (submission date) and claimed my credit card was not yet charged (false).
I ended up hanging up on her because I could not get a word in edge-​wise.
I should have minded the previous Unilocal reviews.

I’m going to have to sue to get my paperwork back! These people have hired a psychopath – seriously, this woman had some sort of mental defect – named Tanya Levi who refused to file my paperwork! Then she claimed to send it back, but didn’t! Moving on to the District Attorney and DCA now.

Staff was very helpful, they tried at different times of the day to serve court papers which was great. Everything was very professional, the staff worked with me even when I had technical issues. Very affordable as well! Would use them again in the future.

As a business owner myself, I rely heavily on a quality network of suppliers for my various business needs. Finding myself in a first time situation of having to serve a customer in Northern California (my business is located in Southern California), I was concerned about finding a reliable company to provide this service. Proper service is a critical element of winning a small claims case. Jovelyn provided outstanding customer service and made the process easy to complete. My case was successfully served and resulted in positive outcome for me in court. While I hope not to need the services again in the future, I will definitely add S and R Services to my trusted suppliers list.
