Try other places in the area before going here. The quality is not worth the price. The manicurists take short cuts, are lazy, are constantly rushed, don’t care about quality, and the whole ambiance of the place is uncomfortable. Machinery is broken and the wear and tear of materials show. Avoid!

Very disappointing. $ 15 dollars for a rushed, basic manicure. The attendant was brusque and dismissive. When I stopped by a day later with a service question, I was angrily dismissed. Awful. I will never return.

just a dreadful place — i had to come onto Unilocal to warn others against here. please go somewhere else if you can!!! i was forced to come here due to time crunch and needing to go to the airport. service is meh, rushed, and not great quality. on top of that, the women who work here feel really slimy and money-grubbing. i wanted to buy a nail polish color from them, and one brought out a new one from the back. she then proceeds to pour some from the OLD bottle into the NEW, pretending like she is giving me more but i’m fairly positive she switched the bottles and gave me the old one!!! i was too shocked and embarrassed to say anything and just wanted to get outta there. Never coming back.

I will never go back again. They damaged my nails and fingers. They are unlicensed and don’t know what they are doing.

I go here to get my eyebrows done. I walked in and asked if they took credit card, to which they told me not unless it was over 18. But they did my brows anyways, and said I could come back and pay later(which I did). I thought that was just so nice of them. They do a good job as well.

Saw a lot of negative posts and had to complement staff and leave a positive review. I’m not one of those girls who gets a manicure often, but when I do I like to be treated with respect. I walked into the salon and sat down to a wonderful experience. I will definitely return. Please give these ladies a try. They deserve it.

I am so disappointed. I leave tomorrow on vacation and had a pedicure here this afternoon. I realized too late that is a terrible pedicure and I don’t have time to have them redo it! Don’t go here. It is a waste of money. They must thin the polish-it bubbled and never dried properly.

Kleo’s has been my go-to salon in San Bruno for awhile now, and I’ve found the environment and technicians to be terrific all around.(I’m a bit surprised by all of the negative reviews on here, although none of them look to be too recent. There are plenty of regulars I see often, too, which suggests to me that others are having a good experience as well.) Kleo’s is the quintessential small business, run by Mai and her team who truly care about their customers and the level of service they provide. They are knowledgeable and skilled(I’ve had everything from tips to gels and regular pedicures as well), and the massage chairs are great. They’re also always happy to do touch ups for me if I happen to nick one of my nails after I’ve left. And most importantly, they’re welcoming and friendly, and remember my preferences from appointment to appointment. They also are great at fitting me in for a last minute appt or walk in. I’ve tried a number of different salons in San Bruno, and Kleo’s is hands down the best.

The worst manicure I have ever had. The manicurist made two of my fingers bleed because she was«jab-happy» with nippers. At least an apology would have been nice since there was blood gushing for both of us to see. Then, I think the owner took over to apply polish on my nails. She was too rushed and when I asked for Quick Dry she said that yes it would be applied, but apparently was not. She told me that I only had 6 minutes at the nail dryer, convincing me that my nails would be completely dry. I have been getting my nails done at salons for many years and I didn’t belive that to be true at all. But, she rushed me out and within an hour my polish had bubbled and my two fingers were still bleeding. Buyer beware, this place looks bizarre to begin with, the décor, the space just doesn’t appear inviting the ladies were not customer friendly.

Kleo nails is run by a few older women that more or less are used to older clients. I felt a tad uncormfortable the first time that i was here considering i needed some work done… and they didn’t really have a table where you can do the waxing… it was more like a chair you sit and they just wax your eyebrows from there. I am giving this place 3 stars because they were really nice. When i say nice i mean when i was there they don’t seem like they are trying to take you for your money. not realy much to say for the place other than if you really are in dire need of a waxing and have no where else to go and want a mediocre type of service then i think this might have to be your best bet.

Have been coming here for eyebrow and lip waxing for almost 10 years. They can accommodate me walking in on a Saturday afternoon(although occasionally they’ll ask me to return in 30 minutes if they’re busy), they do a dependably good job, and for $ 22 including tip, the price is definitely right. Recommended.

Ive been here several times now and always had a decent experience. My shellac always lasts 3 weeks, and even when I smudged the polish on my toe, they happily fixed it the next day. It’s decorated/painted nicely and I like the massage chairs. I will say sometimes they try to work on too many customers which can be frustrating in a time crunch. And the brow waxings are done in a regular chair(sitting up) rather than being able to lay down.

After a failed attempt at a Tanforan nail salon, I decided to try this place out. I’m basically trying all the nail salons in my general area to see which one I like the most since I can no longer get up to Sensi Nails in the Sunset very often. When I saw the interior, I should have turned around and walked out, but I figured a manicure can’t be that difficult can it? I needed an underarm wax as well. I was taken to the back room with a rickety table that oddly resembled an ironing board. I seriously thought I was going to tip over a few times. This place has two kinds of wax. One is in the bottle that has a roller similar to deodorant. It’s heated in a box and then the wax is rolled on to the desired area. The lady took out the bottle of wax and pressed it to my underarm and rolled. ITWASSOEFFINHOT!!! I instinctively jerked my arm back when the hot wax pressed against my skin. I said something to the effect of «Fuck! That’s too hot!» The lady kind of snarled. SNARLED… Mumbled sorry and then put the wax back. She then grabbed the wooden stick from the pot containing the other wax and began to spread it on my arm. This wax was not hot enough. It was super sticky and the wooden stick was pulling at my skin so hard… Pretty painful stuff… One of the most painful waxing experiences EVER. If not the worst. My underarm was left with huge red burn for over a week… On to the manicure. They don’t carry any brand of nail polish I’ve ever seen. No Esse or OPI. And while the lady was painting my nails, she disappeared with the polish behind a screen and I’m pretty sure she put a few drops of acetone in the polish. I sat under the nail dryer for 20 mins and my nails still weren’t completely dry, so needless to say, I ended up messing a few nails up. And the polish bubbled up. To top it all off, even though they have the Visa and MC sticker on their door, they frown on customers using it. When I handed my card to the lady, she said, «Oh, no cash?» I told her no and handed the card back to her. She looked at me for a moment and then said«Ok. You go use the ATM next door.» It’s not my bank I told her and I’m not going to pay a fee to withdraw money. She snatched the card out of my hand and made a bitchy face and walked off. Came back in a few seconds and shoved the card and receipt into my hand all annoyed. Aside from all of that, the place is disgusting. I looked at the floors and they look like they’ve never been mopped. Saw dirt and dust and nail clippings under the chairs. This place should be shut down…

I was extremely disappointed with this salon. The prices are average, but the service is not. I got a mani/pedi that was so basic, I could have done it myself. No massage, minimal grooming and my polish chipped the next day. Even though I live within walking distance of this place, I still drive to Redwood City to get my nails done, which sucks. I would only return if I needed a quick polish and was in a bind. But I wouldn’t pay for a full mani. Oh, and cash only but there’s an atm next door.

I’ve been coming here for, hmm wow about 8 years, since I was a freshman in high school. My mom’s co-worker recommended the place to us. I’ve never had my nails done here or anything but I always come in for some that eye brow waxing action. I usually get them done by Jenny, but if she’s busy I’ll settle for whoever’s available. It gets pretty busy in there, but they always manage to squeeze me in(they don’t wanna turn down good $$ ya know!). They usually do me right, with the exception of sometimes they miss some stray hairs, but not too many where I can’t pluck them myself. Kleo’s is pretty cool. I’ve been coming here for years so that’s got to mean something. And hey it’s only $ 8 for eye brow waxing. So the price, service and result is what keeps me coming back.

english is definately a second language. and they try to book as many people as they can. although, tools are sterilized properly, which is a plus. they also do eyelash extensions, and it’s cheap. shhh, don’t tell anyone. no credit cards though.
