LLU Center for Dentistry and Orthodontics

This is the place to go for quality, low cost dentistry. It is the official Loma Linda Dental School practice hub. The last time I checked it was between $ 21 and $ 109 for an x-​ray and cleaning.
After the x-​ray and cleaning they will let you know if you have any problems and set you up with an appointment to get those problems fixed for a reasonable to low rate. They also accept some insurance. The only draw back here is sometimes the process takes a lot longer than it would at a regular dentist office because they:
1. Take their time/​are very thorough because they are students getting graded on the work that they do for you.
2. The students have limited time to work on you, during class hours before another student needs to get in to their cubicle, so get there early to allow them the maximum time to work on you during that visit
3. They serve a large number of people so appointment times can be stretched out
The main reason I have chosen to use the Loma Linda Dental School is because I have attended other dentist offices and discovered that they were telling me I had cavities to make money off of me when I didn’t actually have cavities.
I discovered this was happening when a dentist told me I had a cavity on a front tooth. I really did not want to have any work done on my front teeth for obvious aesthetic reasons so I decided to get a second opinion. I went to a second dentist. This dentist told me that I had a cavity in a different tooth, that the first dentist didn’t mention anything about. I asked him about the front tooth the first dentist told me I had a cavity in, and he said there was no sign of a cavity there. I went to a third dentist and the same thing happened again! The dentist claimed I had a cavity that neither of the first two mentioned and stated that I had no cavities in the teeth the other dentists said I did have a cavity in!
I will always get a second opinion from now on when a dentist tells me I have a cavity and I will also ask to see the x-​rays and ask for a copy.
Honestly, I would like to conduct an undercover sting on these dental offices in the near future incahoots with a local newspaper.
Anyway, I trust Loma Linda School of Dentistry because they are in business to teach not strictly to make money and the students have to have 4 different professors check off on each thing that they do. They are also trying to do things the right way because they get graded each time they work on you.
Loma Linda is a low-​cost quality alternative to a regular dental office. The only draw back is the amount of time it may take them to do the work. I would recommend this service to anyone.

I have been a patient here for about 2 years and have nothing but good things to say! Dr. Kit is my orthodontist and he is the BEST! Yes, sometimes there is a wait but thats happens when you see the best of the best. His receptionist, Amy, is amazing as well. She is always able to squeeze me in when I break a bracket or have any other issues. Highly recommend all the Dr’s here.

Beautiful office, friendly staff, and super convenient with multiple specialties all together. Oh! And they have massage chairs! Love it.
