The food is excellent, so is the workers but the place itself is disgusting. All three Juan Pollos that I have been to were sticky and gross. There is even gum on the floor at the one downtown. Clean up these places! Please!

We have been coming here for about 5 years now. Usually on a Tuesday when they have the best dinner special, 2 whole chickens, tortillas and salsa for like $ 20. Its been a few months since we’ve gotten that special, but I’m sure it still exists, if not something comparable. My Wife thinks its the best chicken on Earth, so she never opposes eating here. I agree that its good, but just a little better than the rotisserie chicken you get from Sam’s Club. The skin is bomb, and the the texture is great. Just the right amount of saltiness. It tastes delicious wrapped up in a tortilla with that really really good salsa they give you. But it can be dry once you penetrate the skin. That’s really my only gripe. Its not always that way, but I have gotten my share of dry, somewhat-tasteless-beyond-the-skin, chicken. Still good enough to get every other week or so. The Potato salad is pretty good. The beans are not. The rice is aight. The service is usually nice, although they tend to be hustling and bustling, so forgive them for being a tad short with you. The restaurant is sort of run-down, but I wouldnt invest my money remodeling in this area either. We will stay regular customers, even if only to make my Wife happy.

The glaze on the skin is amazing. The chicken is cooked so that it falls off the bone and is tender but is not over cooked or dry. The rice and potato salad are favorites of mine

Love the roasted chicken here. It is similar to El pollo loco but significantly better! Crispy and tasty layer of skin, juicy meat. It is not dried out. Good value and this place is always busy. If you are in town, you should definitely check it out.

I think this location always gets a bad review simply because of it’s location. I’ve always experienced great service and the food is always tasty and at the proper temperature. I generally get the chicken salad because of it’s generous portion size. They’ll give you two containers of salsa if you prefer that over dressing. The place can be a little«divey», but it’s all good if you’re there during the day — whether it’s by yourself or a friend. They do charge a 69cent fee for credit card purchases, so pay in cash if you can to avoid that charge.

Not impressed. The chicken is WAY over salted. I felt like I was eating a salt cube… They also charge $ 0.69 for debit and credit. That is a fee that they are making profit on. I run 2 businesses and they per transactions fees are no more than $ 0.35. I don’t like companies that do this. If I had not had cash, which I normally don’t, I would have walked out immediately! Nevertheless, I stayed. I wanted to see if the reviews were accurate. Their salsa was really good, their side portions were really small and the soda was good. That’s it! And they were out of chips. How does a Mexican restaurant run out of chips? Unless they’re not making them fresh!

Many have never heard of Juan Pollo while others rave it’s the best chicken around, founded in 1984 by Albert Okura they have over two dozen locations locally… Slow cooked Rotisserie style Chicken Mmmm I grabbed a Lunch Special —($ 5.75) 2-Pieces of Chicken, Choice of 2-Sides, Corn or Flour Tortillas and a Med Soda. The skin was nice and crispy. the white meat(Breast) was moist and flavorful , I thought the breast was much better than the thigh. *Choice of Sides are weak! Potato Salad, Beans, Rice and Corn… *(Corn not available in all locations) Potato Salad — It was OK, nothing special, nothing bad either. Beans — Now I’m a FRIJOLERO but these beans just don’t cut it, lacking flavor. Salsa — Available in HOT or Mild, I got the HOT words can’t describe this, only LAUGHTER To sum things up, Chicken is good, Side Blow, I still prefer El Pollo Loco Yo…

I came here with a coworker for lunch. I got three soft tacos for $ 3.49, what a deal! They gave generous portions. There was plenty of chicken. I only wish they would add more cheese and less lettuce. The food was delicious. Prices are cheap for all their entrees. Drinks are a little pricey for me. Their sign and store are hard to see if you are heading south on E street so be on the lookout. Overall, a great place to get a bite to eat, but only in the daytime. :-)

I like the lunch special: Two pieces of chicken with rice and salsa with some tortillas, perfect ingredients to make a few of your own chicken soft tacos, and enough chicken after that to eat on its own. The seasoning on the chicken is really good. You’ll get full and its not expensive.

Soooo yummy – wish we had one where I’m from. This location’s been rather messy a couple times I’ve visited, but the chicken is always fabulous. Employees always seem friendly.

Love the chicken taco special… Buy one get one free for $ 1.75. The tacos are pretty good and I really like the salsa… it’s fresh. It’s also my favorite place to get potato salad. The restaurant can be updated and renovated, but it’s no biggie. Overall I love coming here to get my chicken tacos and potato salad!

When I was just a little Janine, my dad used to take little bro and I to Juan Pollo all the time on the weekends. I’m not sure why my parents liked to feed us fast food so much, anyway… probably something about being a broke, single parent in the Inland Empire. My father loved to dazzle bro and I with tales of how in America, even Japanese immigrants could start not only successful but also delicious Mexican food chains. And boy was he right! Juan Pollo is one of the few habits that I would’ve loved to have kept from my childhood, if I could find a damn one anywhere near me out here. Ah, but it’s empire is surely that of the Inland. I miss carrots in my salsa, ordering a large one, and eating it as a meal. What a way to save $$ and calories. I also miss chicken bits in my rice. The rice here is so, sooooo good. It seems to be cooked in chicken broth or something and has tiny bits of chicken in it, good god just let me drink you, RICE! Salads, tacos, a whole chicken… I would eat Juan Pollos perfect rotisserie chicken in any form. Something about how they did the salad too, was just great. A beautiful ratio of iceberg lettuce, dark and white chicken, cheese(weird but give it to me, okay?), and salsa… it’s just good. I think it may be a «special order» sort of item. And yes, this location may not be like, the Los Pollos Hermanos of Juan Pollos or anything(right across from Inland Center). I mean, maybe you don’t want to come here at night… or at dusk. But it has saved me from having to wander the streets of San B in search of food. I miss you Juan! I need you here, stat.
